The answer is yes you should add the T1 to your collection. I was at a show in October and saw a T1 for sale for under $1K. Didn't buy it because I am doing HO and N.
I'm shocked Lionel never offered matching passenger cars for their Challenger fantasy schemes. That gentleman did a knockout job and really showed up Lionel IMO! As for your "boring" modern power, I disagree. Long modern trains are something you don't see a lot of in O-Scale, which makes your layout/collection such a nice treat. Kudos!
Great Premiere video! I loved the content, Jason. Great job as always! I'd go for that T1. You need some fantasy as well so I can enjoy them vicariously, lol! Bill B.
After Watching this Video it’s so hard to pick a favorite locomotive that I saw running in this video. Great work as always Jason. Plus After watching the T1 Duplex in action, I always felt Astonished by the deep throuty whistle sound file that was equipped with the engine.
Another amazing video as always. Glad you can get together with your buddies and enjoy model railroading together. The T-1 is a must for your collection! 🙌🙌
Layout is looking awsome Jason!👍😀 Love the T1...🤔... nope.. wouldn't look good on your layout.. I'll take it. 😉Lol Looked right at home on your layout. Great vid thanks for sharing.😃
Jason, besides all the trains, it was great to have you introduce Dan and have him explain about the 49er set. Your video production was great as always and hope your wife is getting used to her tunnel. 😉
Very cool! It’s every obvious you have a great group of train friends just the short clip with Dave, it shows how they enjoy the time spent with you! Another great video Jason!
Great video! I suggest that you keep an eye out for the Lionel TMCC T1. It’s a great runner and was the last US made loco. I had it upgraded for cruise control and super chuff. Add GGD passenger cars consist and it can’t be beat. The modern run looks great too!
Holy Cow Jason! What an amazing variety of motive power and rolling stock. The Pennsy T1 looks and sound incredible! It would make a fantastic addition to your collection! Great video, as always! Thanks for putting it together and sharing!
Thanks for inviting us to your club getogether, Janson. The 'Hot Dog' isn't favourite for me, but Dave certainly got a winner with the custom passenger set! That's a really nice touch and having a skilled modeller to pull it off is a real bonus. I've always like the look of the Pennsy T1 and it would make a great addition to your collection. Zach from 'Country Bunkers Trains' recently got one, but decided to 'fantasize' it in the Penn Central paint scheme. He did a great job, but I think the original was really great. The two GP RailKing locos are nice looking; a great custom run. Keep having fun and sharing your news
Great video J D. Tho personally I'm not a big fan of fantasy schemes. Dave's Hot Dog Challenger w/passenger cars color matched are way cool. Thanks for your contributions to the hobby.
Hey jd, been watching your videos for years. Great work. Have you ever had a problem with mth engines surging or slowing down then speeding back up? I’m using fastrack only two loops and about 12 x 14. I’ve added feeders, soldered track, and cleaned wheels on engines. Nothing seams to work. Sometimes tiu unit just gets lost and I have to reset whole system. Any ideas? Very frustrating
I say upgrade the T1 to Blunami. And I want a lionel CSA-1 challenger but in the regular black paint scheme so I can run long drag freights with her. She's probably got about 4 pounds of pulling power so I can handle a 50 car drag with it no issues.
As a result of this video I researched the 49nr train. I had a Railking 49nr. So the UP had two 49nr engines. They were both streamlined and the only other streamlined train the UP ever had was the M10000. One of the steamers was a mountain type and the other a pacific. The more powerful mountain type was needed to get the train over the mountains to Colorado or maybe it was Wyoming. What I am not clear on is if the pacific took over from here into Chicago or it was a separate train on a different route. Both were gone by 1942. I have a MTH premier proto 3 T1 and I love it. I run the silver MTH premier PRR silver passenger cars with it. I believe they are called the Congressional cars. Really nice video.
Huh, stockyard express is a less than 15 minute drive from me and I never knew it existed. Thats great to know since i am just getting into O scale from On30. Also awesome video. You have a new subscriber.
Jason - Great Job, great concept. I suggested a similar concept to Chris M, Chris's Trains and Things last Spring and he had no interest in the idea. Ten hours after posting 500 likes would indicate people enjoy this. Please continue to do it when you can. Awesome!
I'm going to steal your friends idea and make some custom 49er heavyweight passenger cars to match my engines. They looked fantastic, plus adding the T1 to your collection the answer is simple. Is it a train and is it cool then, yes buy it.
Hi Jason like what you do, recently getting back into trains, it was put a side, kids etc i would like to know the size of your set up i am starting a new set up 300 sq feet in o gage, and righ now i am trying to find out the high needed for under pass tunnels etc i read that on MTH site that a double container car is less then 6'' high dont know if that include track etc ....there are also thos car carriers ?
So jealous of you for all the space you have. I love your layout! Can you tell me the distance you put between the main level and the top level? thank you.
how do you get to run those Atlas switches to run so well? mine burn up frequently. I’ve had to go to the Tortoise motors so I don’t start a fire. Thanks for the help.
@@reidwagner1508 I’ve never had an atlas switch motor burn on me. Are you connecting transformer power directly to the machine? If so, it may be turned up too high. I control my switch motors through the MTH AIU with a dedicated transformer that’s turned down low.
A bit of a challenge to describe them so I had to haul one of mine out to examine it: The trucks are Weaver roller-bearing plastic trucks with diecast wheels. They're mounted to a block that slides up and down into the trailer body. On the trailing end of this block is a vertical peg that bridges the slot between the trailer's "taillights" when the block is recessed. This peg is what captures the hole in the tongue mounted on the leading end of the next trailer. So, to couple the trailers, you lift the trailer body, insert the next trailer's tongue into the middle of the slot, then lower the trailer so the peg slides through the hole in the tongue, link-and-pin style.

Being a Pennsylvania RR fan you should go for the T1 wow that fantasy paint challenger and matching cars is a beauty

Got anything new Bill?
Thank you Bill! Yes, we need a T1!

That conrail hi cube you have with the giant logo is one I’ve been hunting I’m jealous !!!
There's one for sale on ebay right now!
Another amazing video as always. Glad you can get together with your buddies and enjoy model railroading together. The T-1 is a must for your collection! 🙌🙌
You need a T-1. Nice video Jason! The layout is looking great! The 49er is a great looking set! Thanks for sharing it!
I agree! Thanks Marty

Hello. Klasse lakomotive 🛤️🚅🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌👍👍👍 Thanks............Fim🚂👮🤚
Thanks for running the full NS OCS with the Fs Jason
The 49er paint scheme doesn't do much for me, but I gotta say, he did an excellent job on those passenger cars! - Ryan
Agreed!
Ryan how is your Big boy doing.
Hot dog is colorful
I prefer prototypical paint schemes
Says the the man who pulls stack cars with a mikado
@JDStucks where is your layout at location?
@williamkolina3988 its back from warranty repair, gotta unbox and test it. Doing some track cleaning first. Ryan
Jason, besides all the trains, it was great to have you introduce Dan and have him explain about the 49er set. Your video production was great as always and hope your wife is getting used to her tunnel. 😉
Dave is a great friend. I hope to have him on again!

Daylight, Vomit Bonnet, AND a T1 Duplex all in the same episode? JD just decided to make a cocktail of stuff I'd love and put it in this episode
Bahahaha awesome
Definitely a big thumb-up to this video!!! A very nice promotion to the hobby. Thank you, Jason.
Really appreciate your kind words.
Knockout episode, Jason. That T-1 is simply STUNNING though!
Love the 49er passenger car . I need to make or find a set for my challenger
Holy crud, what a setup! Love the multiple engines pulling all that freight.
Me too!
Great video thanks for sharing 👍👍
amazing video jason
Holy Cow Jason! What an amazing variety of motive power and rolling stock. The Pennsy T1 looks and sound incredible! It would make a fantastic addition to your collection! Great video, as always! Thanks for putting it together and sharing!
I agree! Layout needs a T1
Stunning video Jason! I really love those passenger cars for the hotdog. They look absolutely amazing! 💯👍😎
Love that 49’er fantasy scheme. I have an FEF coming. I was wondering about a car set. I think a Lionel needs to come up with a set in that color.
They’re making a set like the Hiawatha cars in the new catalog I ordered a set
Thanks for inviting us to your club getogether, Janson. The 'Hot Dog' isn't favourite for me, but Dave certainly got a winner with the custom passenger set! The T1 for sure! Though, is there a PS3 version out there? Wonder if they’ll release a new one when the prototype is finished around 2030? 🤔
There is, but they're somewhat hard to find. I'm sure someone will release the T1 again.
I guess you’re just a modern kind of guy??
I’m actually surprised you own something other than NS. Lol 😆
Hey, I have some diversity in the collection lol
Nice
Great video Jason very cool fantasy schemes on your layout GOD BLESS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK HUGS FRO SHELBY ;-)
Great video J D. Tho personally I'm not a big fan of fantasy schemes.

Can anyone here recommend a good way to clean track? 🤷🏻♂️

Great stuff Jason.
You see Something you Don’t Have You are Gonna Want to get one Simple as That.

Another great video Jason
What a cool Vid!

You should add a PRR T1
Why does everyone use Lionel fastrak I prefer tubular track from menards
I use Atlas O. Lionel fastrak is just readily available and affordable, so a lot of people use it when getting into the hobby.
After all the time effort and money it seems cheap to hide and cover your layout up with unrealistic crumpled up paper
Not even remotely close to being completed. That paper will be covered in plaster, rock molds, paint, trees, ground cover, etc.
Another great video, When are you planning on putting down the grass.
Great question. Hopefully soon.
What are the triple crown trailers sitting on? I see the wheel trucks but how lol?
A bit of a challenge to describe them so I had to haul one of mine out to examine it:

Always a pleasure to see some BNSF, and the little bit of Norfolk Southern you threw in there! Good video!
The T1 looks graceful on your sweeping curves!
Will there be a HOT DOG IN YOU'RE COLLECTION IN THE FUTURE
Hmmmm what do you think?
If you're gonna do it I'd repaint it you're Norfolk and western color
Ok we get it, it has a horn.
Fake News!
Simply put...great stuff Jason ! And kudos to Clyde and his crew at Stockyard Express...they're the best in the business. Thank You 👍
Great store!
25 Roadrailers? Where’s the other one?
Oh, and we really need to do a custom run of those Atlas Potash Trinity 5161 hoppers.
Hidden, because I wanted all boring Triple Crown ;)
@@vanrail8108 Nah, let's keep mine ultra rare lol
