    Thanks for sharing! Saw something like this on Pinterest and now my poor boyfriend is going to have to live with me doing this to all the furniture.

    Beautiful. To help your coverage, take length times width for square inches total divide by 25 and that number represents how many ounces you need for complete coverage.
    But we’ll done, what resin did you use?

      Dead on advice. You could tell in the beginning that those 3 cups wouldn’t be enough. They weren’t even full cups. And I’ve never seen someone pop bubbles with matches. Table does look great though.

    Very cool...use a butane torch to pop bubbles lol, sorry but the matches made me laugh.

    Beautiful table. Did you do anything special to prevent it from cracking or crazing while it dried? Did you use a medium, water, or straight paint?

      Jeannie Kry thanks for the comment! We used a acrylic paint specifically used for acrylic pours. Most craft store have them. We just bought the Micheals store brand (cheapest)

    Wow, this is awesome. I want to try this, but I have a few questions.
    Is resin the same as epoxy? Did you get the resin at the same store as the acrylic paint?
    How long does the resin/epoxy need to dry?
    Is there any technique to applying the resin or is it the same as the method shown for the acrylic?

      I ordered the resin on Amazon. Just the cheapest I could find. The resin is self leveling so it’s easier to apply than the paint. You can put it on with a paint brush. It took about 48 hours to dry!

    How do you prevent paint from going to other parts of the end table?

    • @lilyhatch0
      @lilyhatch0  3 роки тому +1

      Just being careful… some parts still got some paint specs but you can just wipe it off with a sponge

    May I ask why you don't use a torch to pop bubbles

  • @sunkistwithatwist3230
    @sunkistwithatwist3230 4 роки тому

    Do you have to use a torch or something so that the paint does not come off

    • @lilyhatch0
      @lilyhatch0  3 роки тому

      Nope I didn’t use that! Just use sand paper when buffing the table first

    • @joycethiery2488
      @joycethiery2488 3 роки тому

      The torch or fire, which ever you use, pops the bubbles
