I keep seeing another argument online saying that "the price is worth the hardware!" or similar. The reason why companies have ALWAYS been able to sell consoles at affordable prices in the past, is because they make almost the ENTIRETY of their money off of the consumer being roped into their ecosystem. FYI, PS+ costs between $80 and $160 annually depending on the version, which means just 5 years of owning a PS5 without buying any games means you've effectively spent double of what the PS5 is worth. With the PS5 Pro being over $700, that whole model has been thrown out of the window. Within just 3 years of owning the console (thats less than half of the lifespan of the average console), you as the consumer have just spent between $940 and $1180 on a piece of hardware that is subpar of what a PC at the same price is capable of. In fact, for about $1200 nowadays, you can easily build a PC featuring a 4070 SUPER that can run Cyberpunk 2077 and ultra settings with ray tracing at an upscaled 1440p at 100 fps easily. On PS5 however... that game is still locked at 30 FPS on the console's fidelity setting... which ironically runs at a poorly upscaled 4k with many of the ray traced features on the PC version being removed for the console version.

To be honest I really don't know what everyone expects. From everything I've seen to buy a graphics card for the same power as a PS5 for a PC would be $600 just for that one graphics card. But the complete specs aren't completely known yet. I have a PC that has a 4080 super I paid 3 times as much as what the PlayStation 5 pro will be. I would say the PlayStation 5 pro will be probably within 10% of the power of a 4070 super. Probably almost 100% on par with a 3080 TI. The 3080 is like $400 right now but the PlayStation 5 pro will have most likely better AI upscaling and ray tracing. I think it'll be closer to a 4070 super which is like $600.
It’s not worth it. This year alone, They only had a a couple of games that were good, the rest are garbage. Even I am not fond of there crap DEI thing they are injecting into these games.
Ever since that presentation, I feel like I made a wonderful choice when I bought the original PS5. At least PS4 Pro had very big upgrades and it was better than the original PS4. Now PS5 Pro doesn't give us much upgrades. Now they removed the disc drive along with the vertical stand and the price for it is...JESUS! I'd rather buy Nintendo Switch 2 than this PS5 Abomination.
Remember when people said the same issues with the PS Portal and then the darn thing sold like hotcakes and were sold out everywhere I think it would be best to wait before we judge if the PS5 Pro is gonna bomb or not not that I agree about the price but some people are willing to sell a kidney to get the best of something like the latest iPhone, an RTX4090 a Tesla and many other things just because we don't see it fitting that price point does not mean there is no idiot out there that would not line up at a Gamestop at 12AM on the day of its release.

I used to buy all the Playstation consoles cause their awesome unique single player experiences but this is no longer the case, there are not many almost none good games coming from them anymore, their vision for their future about new IPs are none existent, too many freaking remasters and on top of that they don't deliver the real remaster that matters, Bloodborne for example, but remaster of Horizon? WTF!?, woke mentality garbage is at full force at Sony so I even less care about them, also their old and new exclusives are coming to PC eventually , so yeah there is no reason to keep buying the Playstation brand, and for the PS5 PRO announcement the only thing that announcement is to help me out and officially decided to upgrade my RTX 3070 this december lol.
I hope the tide changes especially with Sony. If they do a console exclusive that is truly great, it might. Sadly, while researching, more DEI games are coming instead.

He showed me a video about GameStop giving good money. So I’ve immediately sold my PS5 at GameStop for store credit and I got $410 for it! That was GREAT! Here’s another story. I had the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Apple Watch 7. My watch was paid off but I had to trade in the 14 to get the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Also I got the Apple Watch ⌚️ 10. So *TODAY* I’ve sold my 7⌚️at GameStop for store credit and I got $110 for it! All together I got $520 going towards the PS5 Pro. Basically I got over half on that PS5 Pro. I’m lucky and usually I don’t be lucky
Why dont people think little further. When ps5 pro comes,the used market will overflow. U can get almost a new ps5 for around 300 usd in norway already and a ps5 pro cost 1000 usd. So the real price difference for me is 700 usd atm,not 400 usd. The difference is in reality way higher than many compair it too.
I will get it anyway. I did so with the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. I mean, if there is a trade-in, I always do that. I did that with the PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 4 Pro, so I would do that with the PlayStation 5 to PlayStation 5 Pro and get it cheaper. I don't care what others say because when I saw the 30th Anniversary Edition, I thought it was cool. The video they showed of the upgrades they got on the Pro was cool too. As I said, I will only buy it if there is a trade-in. Then I would get it.

When I first heard of the Concord tax, I laughed at it because it sounded like a great joke However, when the real PS5 Pro vs PS5 comparison videos are out and it's revealed that the upgrades are minimum, then I'll believe the Concord tax was indeed real.
My question for all this is, let’s say the system can run better graphics, but because when they create cross console games they generally make a one size fits all right? So doesn’t that mean that most these new features would just be left not used?
The reason #1 is that Sony is saying your ps5 should have been this machine, this is why it ran poorly with ugly framerates, stutter, bugs etc... And you should buy it for more than your current ps5 and somehow get rid of your old machind too on your own by the process.... This is insane and completely disrespectfull marketing. I am randomly one of the 30% that chooses fidelity cus I always figured my tv cant go higher then 60 fps I always thought ps5 was marketed as being 120 capable and assumed performance was just if you wanted to utilize that. personally only play single player games and I don't really ever notice anything.
True for that money and a few hundred dollars more i could buy a watercooled pc with a 1tb nvme and a rtx compatible with fssr 3, i can get a bigget heatsink for the nvme, put a glowing in the dark liquid that makes the water glow in the same colors i'm using for the fans, the upgardes are endless. The be 100% honest I don't think the graphics is any different from a regular PlayStation 5 it's pretty much identical and if you've been reading on it it says only runs in 30 frames per minute not in 60 frames per minute especially no stand no disk drive just a little bit more storage space of two terabytes😂😂😂 in the graphics does not any better than a Xbox x series

Used to get 5 dollars for one pound on the exchange rate & even when decimalisation came on it was £3.50 per dollar when i was born :/ now its 1 for 1 price wise ( we pay more VAT than you - after import taxes plastic taxes , enviroment taxes etc)
