I am using an HB graphite pencil on drawing paper with a coarse texture to draw the face of a girl.
one shot one kill, no measuring needed, proportions on point on the first try! a magician you are!.
Thank you for your kind words :-)
Parth Shukla well yeah its a good thing
What proportions he didn t even made the contour of the face at our collage if u start like this teachers will call u an amateur and probs an idiot 😂
Keep in mind that this is not how u start drawing, as a beginner nwver start with the eyes mouth and nose.
@@Razvan528 idk who are you but please google what proportions mean
When i draw right eye becomes perfect and then when i draw left eye... Nevermind
You should be proud of that perfect right eye:-)👍
same hahaha
This is me. When i finish the right eye, i draw only one round for left eye. After that i sign the under of drawing.
Finally i throw the pen.
Start with the left eye. You probably right-handed so start with the left eyes and move to the right.
@@africaart I'm leftie :) but i can draw with both of my hands.
But thanks, i will try.
A fellow left handed artist- bless
I’m here too!
A fellow army- bless
Hello
Left Handed Gang 💖
Mectoo bruh
To be honest this is probably the best inspiration/tutorial on drawing portraiys
Thank you!
Cuber Tastic i’m left handed too 😬😬
Finally someone drawing without the basics sketches or whatever..my whole life I was drawing without them.. 😃
Anna Mémé im pretty sure he used the basics back then but as time passes u get more confident and stop relying on basic sketches.
@@snaypee4486 yeah maybe
I don’t feel like making sketches
You sketch yet?
The attention to detail here is uncanny. You’re very talented and I aspire to draw at your level of expertise :)
Hatching is so underrated. I love that this was on my recommended feed, your technique of hatching is so relaxing and amazing! Love the textures. What gsm paper is it?
Thanks! It's Canson XL Mix-Media paper 300 grs. (the blue sketch books)
It is relaxing lol
There are no stupid questions:-) I change the pencils to take a sharp one every now and then. I probably used three or four pencils, I think.
its not underrated
It’s not underrated it’s used all the time in comics
Yo im jealous of how easily u draw the those eyes like its nothing. It would take me hours just to get the right size and how far apart the eyes are. And thats not including the part where im making it look anything close to what im drawing. 👏👏👍👍✌️
Hey thanks!
"Hymn to the sea" starts playing...
This is amazing in every way, from how you draw effortlessly/naturally to the beautiful result! ❤
Am I the only one who think this is so satisfying to watch??
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I think the minimalist type of sketching is very powerful. I look forward to watching this video many times until I feel confident I can do it. Maybe one day successfully making a rendering that is actually recognizable! Thank you for the lesson! Trinity2u
That was incredible , I've derived numerous benefits of how to draw and shadow the face, I'm a beginner at drawing 😄thanks for these substantial lessons 😀
It's beautiful ! Having two passions, writing and drawing, I tend to neglect one when I focus on the other...these last months I put drawing aside, and I was losing motivation to go back to it. This video reminds how much I like to draw. Thank you !
Same:))
Cool joe
This guy doesn't even sketch. Pure talent. I can't ever relate.
Due to your voice and the fact you're left-handed, subscribe I must.
The naturalness of this portrait
You may call it laziness, but your lines and scribbles are so expressive, I'm blown away!
Just one pencil being used. That's amazing.
You're a scientist at this. I'm amazed at how you easily get the exact shapes and shadows. Amazing.
When i draw eyes. I usually draw one perfect one... then after that...
Lets just say hair is you new best friend
Be proud of the perfect eye. Hair is handy too. Drawing profile portraits helps too. :-)
I love your technique!!
Seriously? Are you kidding me? What the heck? No, blending, no erasing? Using a no 2 pencil? What are you? The most amazing artist in the world? 😉 where have you been all my life? That's it! Where can I sign up for a class? 💖
Your way of shading is mesmerising
real artist!
very artistic!!
i will try this method!!
The moment he drew a line it looked more realistic than any portrait I have ever draw
I love your shadowing! And I'm only at 3 mins. I love your style! So hard to shadowing... 😖 Thank you for this tutorial. 👌🏻
Ur strokes r so perfect 😍.. and smooth
Dude yessssss omg is it ok for me to this hype for you content. My guy i learned more in 13 min then 18 years why couldn't you be my art teacher growing up 😤🙌😎👏👌😀😄😃😀😊😁
Hey thanks, man :-)
You can draw very beautiful pictures. I like to draw your pictures very much
You're making it look so easy 😭
I love your crosshatching technique
This was amazing to watch and I really feel like I learned something. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Finally! A channel worth Subscribing
Wow he use his left hand to draw *NOICE*
Cause he is left handed
:/
this is so good, such a fresh change to hyper realistic portrait tutorials, I feel it gots so much more soul in it
I love his style, it’s inspiring
Thank you so much! I improved in my drawing skills a lot because i watched you videos, thank you again!!!
I was waiting for a person who don't need measurement or erasor
Very relatable, organic artstyle, but you make it look so easy it's inspiring.
Woaah! Look at this free hand accurate portrait drawing!😮😮
Going to try this technique, thank you
Good luck! Thanks!
Note how he turns his pencil to a softer side for thicker softer shading. When you shade it gives your pencil a small chisel on the top. The sharp points he uses to hatch thin lines. Try not to turn your own pencil unless you need the sharp point, or all of your shading will be messy. If you hatch, you want the lines to be the same thickness. Keep the dull side of your graphite for the soft thick lines and soft shading
When you crosshacthing do you blending it after words or just leave it like that
No, I don't blend afterwards. I don't like blending.
HOW
without an eraser I could never I love this.
new subscriber
I didn’t expect this... it’s beautiful!
Thanks!
I appreciate you saying you changed the speed... I feel like that does a lot for peoples mentality, when they try to compare themselves to unrealistic standards. Also I really like your style and how you just see the dimensions.
You mainly use crosshatching technique.
Yeah, whatever works.
Looool why r u stating facts
Its obvious 😂
Finally a left handed guy who is good at drawing (im a left handed too and Im an average sketcher)
After my anime phase i'm starting to get into this realistic phase
Beautifully expressive little drawing. Enjoyed it and subscribed.
Thank you!
Are you a professional artist?
ماشاءالله تبارك الله ربنا يبارك ويزيدك من فضله روووووووووعه فنان تسلم الأيادي اللهم بارك ربنا يحفظك ويزيدك من فضله
بحد فناااااااان 🌹
Bro, we're similar when it comes to drawing the eyes first. I don't use guidelines at all
where's proof you can draw eyes without one up and down. maybe you SHOULD use guide lines.
Wow ,this is so fast . It's like upgrading and upgrading. I was waiting for some erasure . Super wow. Amazing thanks for this i got inspired.
Nice work. I see too many perfectionists on youtube and it causes me to raise my own expectations way way too high! This is very nice work and i can appreciate it very much.
Thank you. Apelles, the greatest painter in antiquity was praised for knowing when to stop. :-)
awesome drawing and great tutorial
Thanks!
I'm a beginner. I tried to draw the picture following your steps. Holy shit, now it looks like almost the same as yours. I think it's a miracle
You must be talented
Its just amazing to watch you draw! Such beautiful easy strokes.
Thank u and good day.
:)
Thank you!
This is a god tier tutorial
That one eye is better than all my art combined
You have my full attention to how to apply your technique
Ahh its so interesting even left-hands starts drawing from right eyes XD
Nice drawing of a pretty subject. And I can’t help but think of John Bonham while listening to the background music!
wow. u make it look so easy
Thank you:-) I hope my videos are helpful.
You are a master of your chosen craft 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
thank you sir! it really helps to understand more about hatching and shading
Your crosshatching skills are incredible!
Ah thank you!
Thank you for sharing your talented art . I also assume there is a lot of regular training behind your seemingly effortless presentations.
Anyway its so valuable for us to see and hear your commentary. If you would like it could be of great interest to follow a build-up of a face also with a ballpoint pen and in real time. There it would maybe be tiresome to do the voice over....
Also if you would care to share something concerning your schooling and general art training.
Thank you
Hi Peter, as a teen I was drawing a lot. I think most training I had comes from that time. Thank you for your nice comments. Thank you for your suggestion for a ball point drawing. I drew a lot as a teen. Then I went to artschool, The ABV in Tilburg, the Netherlands. After this I concentrated more on studying the old masters/ painting, and the old literature on art. I have started a new channel about this. ua-cam.com/video/6ZJvgZMDMBM/v-deo.html
Its an amazing painting.. thanks for the little tips.. i used ur measurement trick for drawing proportionate features and it worked wonders... Also .. previously i always used to start from the face shape which many people ask to do..in their tutorials. But since i draw with a pen.. drawing face shape first means a disaster... Your method of starting from the eyes and then moving down along with small simple measurements throughout helped a lot...
Which paper is being used here ??
I love this style of drawing so much!!
Me encanta. ¡Qué bonito!
Muchas gracias!
I didn`t think you were going to answer me. I like to draw but I'm just an amateur and I love your art. Thank you.
Very polite way of teaching 👌👌👌 n best too... really very informative for me.... God bless 🙌 you always 🤗
This man has the sniffles
Excellent work. Impressive
Fantastic
Thank you!
This video gives me a bit of ASMR, plus it's very uselful. Thank you x
Bro that's me exactly, it's the same technique that I use when am drawing a human face
It's true I did my best to copy your pictures much as I can but it was still a little bit different kind of feel bad but when I opened up your photo actually when I opened up your video I'm sorry right away you said let's move on to the right eye and I loved it just perfect straightaway to the point great job.
Awesome
Thanks!
Love your creative arwork drawing sketch 👌🏾 👌🏾 👌🏾 👌🏾 👌🏾 👌🏾 👌🏾 👌🏾 🌹👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥💐💐🙏🏾💯
Omg thank u sm. I was looking for this shading method. And it magically appeared on my recommended list. I must've saved a life in my past life to get to see this. U r brilliant!
Very talented. Proud of you
Thank you so much¡¡¡👍👍
You're welcome :-)
Great work!
Woo.. excellent drawing
Just started drawing. Thanks for the tips and tricks like the lips placement on where to look it really clears out my mind. Good work
You r amazing , I learned alot from your sketching
no need to erase... woah, you are amazing!!!!
Wow good drawing
Btw what paper are you using?
Copon bond
I love it so much and the way you talk and breath and the soft music, everything is just calming 😁
Every artist on UA-cam are left handed huh
Is*
@@lazykay7230 thanks for correcting them, now i know
She is a Indian actress......... ❤️❤️
Nice drawing, thank you for sharing your drawing process, I learned new 😊, I will try this technique then blend it, this is so nice technique because you have guide to where your tonal values before adding charcoal powder and blend.
My art teacher would be mad cause it’s not blended enough 😭
srsly?
Why you're underrated?You're so good!Thank youuu!!!
How do you get those dark shades with only an HB? Great work, by the way. I really dig that you draw on coarse paper!
Thanks! I think the paper is helpful in getting those dark shades.
+Peter Jochems nice tell the truth
Great tutorial! Did this with a mechanical pencil, turned out amazing!
Amazing drawing. I love this.
That right eye, although perhaps a tad small (constructive criticism😬), couldn’t have been drawn any better, in my opinion. It’s perfect. I love all of it, though. Your technique is loose and simplistic enough, but realistic and refined. Love the hatch work, that look. I feel getting that darkest dark is key to it’s success, as well. I’ll be checking out more of your work. Thanks for sharing
which pencil use?
Hi, I use a regular HB graphite pencil.
thanks
Wow I would never be able to make it with hb pencil
What is the brand of the pencil pls
This was therapeutic! I’m gonna watch more videos!
PHENOMENAL TALENT!! 💚💜💕💙💛XXX
