Nice room tour! My brother-in-law and I have the same “Party Rock” LP set. I too have a Sony 5-disc player. It is a very good player. Mine is for both CDs & SACDs, however, it no longer will read the SACD layer on hybrid CDs. Only reads single-layer SACDs. So I found an Oppo BDP-105 Blue-ray player to replace it.
Nice! I have both the original Solid Gold Party Rock box set as well as the follow up set Party Rock II, but I may have to look into getting another copy of the first set as mine isn’t in the best condition…
Very nice setup! I'm cheap and lazy these days. I have a 2016 Samsung sound bar with a sub that shares 220 watts and I love the way it sounds. It only sounds good in "movie" eq. It's got a 5" rear-firing sub and it's somehow able to vibrate my chest. On the couch. New soundbars are better now, but the subs are worse. Thanks for the tour!

Nice setup. I am surprised you don't have an SACD player for native DSD playback. Sony actually tried to upgrade the CD but SACDs only caught on with audiophiles and music enthusiasts. There was a time when you could get dual layer CD/SACDs from Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones (ABKCO) for the same price as regular CDs.
Coincidentally, I’m going through a life crisis and am looking for one of those and a service manual. I told myself many times I wouldn’t buy a tape deck, but now want one. I like your channel and listening room, thanks for sharing your adventure. @@EzeeLinux

It’s nice to see a carefully chosen system that is not overly expensive. I’ve had good luck with SONY products as well.
I got a Sony STRDH190 for 99 bucks new I don't think it can be beat.

SACD's were dead on arrival. Not something I'm into. :)

I don't do tape anymore. That was a mid life crisis thing. They don't make any good decks these days. I just lost interest. :)
