Did the exact same thing as you, 15t + 44t and new chain. Love the lower RPM. I didn't have to change the retainer plate, it looked good.

I just changed it as a precaution, knowing the issues other people have had with them chewing out.

How much of a difference did that make on the top end? I'm considering doing the same

Very well produced video.......I specifically looked at the front sprocket "tab" washer you commented on........mine let go which allowed the sprocket to get out of alignment so chewing 2mm off my silencer. The 15K service specifically lists a check on front & rear sprocket nuts. This wasn't done at the 15K service......hence the tab washer failure.

It's pretty poor that Ducati have never fixed it, but I suppose it's one of those little 'perks' of Ducati ownership!

I wouldn't have used a split link......the Sled puts out a lot of torque so the chain needs a solid link....

It's a pretty reputable brand and the chain + link have held up nicely for the last two and a half years.

Thanks a lot, I took notes and will do it on my scrambler

No problem! Let me know if there's any other procedures you'd be interested in seeing in a tutorial. :)

Great video, thank. What tyre is on the rear and do you get much mileage out of it?

At the time of filming that video, it was an Avon Trailrider, which got quite a bit of mileage out of it. It was already on there when I bought the bike, but I probably put another 15,000km on it before I had to change it, so I'd probably estimate about 15-20,000km of mileage from when it was new.
I'm rocking Michelin Pilot Road 6 now, which will give me less mileage but they STICK to the road like nothing else I've ridden on.

ciao! per la regolazione tensione catena si agisce solo sul lato della corona? il numero di tacche dei regolatori deve essere lo stesso per entrambi? Grazie

Ciao! Si aggiusta su entrambi i lati e si controlla che siano uguali con una misura.

How did you get the front sprocket off without removing the foot control bit??

    • @lowsideluke
      @lowsideluke  2 роки тому

My foot control isn’t in the way of my sprocket. Maybe yours is adjusted a little too high up?

I was wondering the same thing?

What year is your scrambler? 2017 here and my foot controls are also in the way, and that's stock. I'm guessing newer models changed the shape to allow easier front sprocket changes.

Hey dude! Sorry for the late response - It's an RHK O-Ring Race Chain. I had to remove some links to get it to the size I needed.
