Great video. I read in accompanying autodoc document that a torque of 28Nm is stated for tightening the spark plugs. Does this torque assume that the plugs are being degreased with an anti-seize compound? If not using anti-seizure compound should torque be greater than 28Nm? My specific car is Suzuki Swift Sport 1.6 Gen 3 (2016) UK
@@kullydhanoa3890 the anti seize compound is purely so they do not seize up for the next time you go to repair them. The torque does not change what so ever.
kinda late but Kupferpaste/ Copper paste, it's usually used as anti-seize in brakes Funny enough, it's not recommended to put any kind of lubricant on the new sparkplugs

@@autodocuk is the grease necessary for the oem ngk spark plug, IFR6J11 ? I read that these already come with protective thread for anti seize. The anti seize grease is not recommended on those as it can adversly affect the tightening torque (25Nm according to service manual)?
thank you so much for this video, I changed plugs, leads and a coil pack on my wifes 58 plate swift, when I started it it had a misfire, I swapped plugs back to originals with new leads, still misfire, swapped leads back to originals with new plugs , still misfire, then put old plugs and leads in, still misfire, looking at it, It looked wrong, but I was cabbaged by that time, starting the car sounded like misfire / timing out. came across your video just now, and presto, I realise what I have done wrong, I have coil pack on cylinder 2 with lead to cylinder 1, then the other coil pack on cylinder 4 and lead to cylinder 3 ( looking at engine from front of car, now I realise I have leads wrong, should be coil on cylinder 4 and lead to cylinder 1, coil on cylinder 2 and lead to cylinder 3 ( looking at engine from front of car ) Do this tomorrow and job should be sorted, cheers for the video, it showed me what I was missing all along but what was staring me in the face the whole time

Depends on the type of spark plugs. For the Nikkel spark plugs type - every 20,000 thousand km. For the type of iridium or platinum - once every 100,000 - 120,000 thousand km. AUTODOC
