I kept searching in the view drop down box, unsuccessfully of course, for the side by side. Thanks for pointing out the icon which I never would have found on my own!!! I'm subscribing to you :)
Thanks Sharon! Word places the documents side-by-side. If Doc1 is on the left and Doc2 is on the right, is there a quick way to reverse the order so Doc2 is on the left and Doc1 is on the right? Apparently I can do this by manually dragging the documents to the other side of my screen, but I was wondering if there was a "switch sides" button somewhere I'm missing that makes it easy with one click. Thanks!
Hi Kuzonza! I use MS Office 365 (which is the latest version of Word). Some of the same features may be available to you, but may look different or be on a different tab. Thanks so much for watching my videos!
Hi Eric! You can either maximize the documents to get them back to full screen size, or close them if you are done. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
This doesn't seem to be an option when I use my Samsung Windows tablet (the Galaxy Book), and it certainly is not an option with the Android version of Microsoft Word that I downloaded from the Google Play Store onto an Android tablet. I guess I will have to use my Toshiba laptop, but unfortunately that is a bit too cumbersome to use in bed as easily (Ha Ha Ha Ha).
@@SharonSmith Thanks a Lot, Sharon: Actually, I have decided to take a different approach in coding video transcriptions that I am using in my thesis data analysis. Instead of copying and pasting extractions from the transcripts document-by-document into one organizing document, instead I will be using acronym abbreviations within the documents themselves in parentheses at the beginnings of bracketed content that will also be separated by double spaces before and after the rest of the content in each transcription. I gave some careful thought last night, and this approach I came up with is a fourth possible option in addition to the three I was contemplating. I think it will be the easiest and best one. Later I will identify the most appropriate extraction examples and write about these. In coming to my idea and decision, viewing your video somehow helped me in my important step along the way. I had actually manipulated two Microsoft Word documents side-by-side on the same screen in analyzing the data for a paper about two years ago. Essentially, I had done what you described before, and I wanted to make sure I knew again how it was done. Videos like yours are a great help on UA-cam, and provide a great service to the public! Thanks a Lot, John

Looking to do this on word on my iPad Air 5 if possible
hiii, and in Mac? thanks!
Would you please create a video that shows two text boxes side-by-side with one that is scrollable vertically next to one that is not?
But if we switch to other application it comes back to the single document
How do you go back to the way it was before the side by side?
