P.S. The F-4 Phantom has been around the block quite a few times but still a very capable aircraft although heavy and it guzzles fuel at an alarming rate. Very tough. I've seen our F-4s come back looking like Swiss cheese and parts dangling off.
100% improvement over the crappy music version. These F-4s don't smoke like the F-4Bs we had on ship in our squadron. They sure don't howl very much either. LONG LIVE PHANTOM II.
How well di the Japanese maintain these aircraft? They're more than just military assets to them....real passion and pride to keep these aircraft in top condition! Amazing footage and sad to see these go.....wish they kept them as long as the US will keep the B52's.
