What a shot looking down the overflow there! I've always wanted to see down of of those Nice to see you back out there Nick, look forward to seeing what you get up to in 2024
Hi Nick, I’ve been eagerly awaiting your first upload of 2024. You always manage to communicate something of the solitude of your walk to the viewers. I’m always left in a reflective mood yet uplifted by the beauty and magnificence of our landscape. The sequence looking down into the outflow of the reservoir at around 4:30 was wonderful and rather redolent of a scene from a Busby Berkeley film from the 1930s. All that was missing was the music ‘Beside a waterfall’ and the choreographed girls. As always, thanks for your work.
Happy new year Mark! Bit late I know 😅 Good to hear from you, The solitude is exactly what I love about hiking, nice to have someome join me once in a while though as my uncle did on this and the next three videos I have coming up I've been wanting to get a shot down one of these overflowing for some time now but not been lucky enough with the water levels, was awesome to finally get one and watch it back
@@NickGoesHiking my wife too found the view down the overflow “absolutely amazing”. And that’s high praise, believe me. I always love your videos and often return to view them again. They’re much appreciated.
Pozdrawiam z Polski! Dziękuję za wideo! 👍
You're very welcome, Thanks for visitting 😁
Great footage and thank you for showing us. Looked very boggy and slippery.
It was! I could make a blooper vid of all the slips and slides 🤣
Another great video. You never know how large the Reservoirs are until you get a shot from a drone...it looks huge.
This is why I love my drone so much, get all those views and perspectives we would never have seen before
That overflow was cool, it looked like an eye.
Yeah, that or a portal! I was so worried my drone would get sucked in 😅
Great video as usual. The part with the plug-hole has amazing patterns and looks real cool. The hike looked very muddy.
Thank you 😁 It was pretty muddy and slippery!
The weather there seems similar to us here at the moment. Wow, what a gorgeous reservoirs and river view along the way. Thanks for the hike!
Very grey and damp, typical British weather as they say 😅 Spring and Summer can not come quick enough
Gloomy hike that, bet you were stoked to find the little shelter
Very happy to get out of the damp for a few minutes and warm up with a nice hot brew! 😃

Always wanted to too! Finally got an opportunity so seized it, they're usually not overflowing by the time I get out to these places
