Personally I don’t think it’s bad, the core gameplay from what I’ve played so far it pretty good. It does feel rushing in some areas like the amount of content which you touched on. My personal belief is the game was rushed to meet the Halloween deadline, which of course is a good time to promote a Ghostbusters product. I believe the game will grow over time and will get much better in the coming months. We already know we have more content on the way, the full containment edition already promises 6 months of additional dlc, I imagine there may possibly be other content features added through free updates as well. I think people are too quick to write this off. The core gameplay is pretty fun so they have a decent foundation to build on

Probably fun, but I'd only grab it for like....25-30 (I'm from Canada, where the base game is 57.99)
Its amazing to me that people went into this game thinking it was going to be geared for adults. Like are they blind? Nothing about pre-release footage gave that idea whatsoever. Ghostbusters is a childrens IP, we all saw the movies and cartoons as children, we're adults now, its still geared towards children though and your nostalgia doesnt change it. It's a really fun 4 player coop game and watching the butt hurt rage because some youtubers didnt get review codes is honestly really embarrassing. This isn't directed at you but I lost all respect for 2 channels with the manufactured drama they generated and the faux shock at seeing that the game is cartoonish in nature. The VR space is too small for this type of click-bait nonsense. Its like no one is allowed to have fun with a game for what it is and that we're all supposd to be outraged week in, week out with a "I'll wait for a sale" attitude. Lets be honest too, few of these people have even played the games they're complaining about, they're just parroting what someone said in YT video. Absolutely pathetic.
I actually agree with most of your points and it’s why I tryed to approach it without my nostalgia guiding me. I actually had fun with the game and don’t think it deserves the flack it’s getting. No I still stand by my point that they made a game that does not totally gel with the IP but is still fun.
Totally agree with you, UA-camrs letting the numbers go to their head thinking their opinion is all that matters. Negative videos getting them alot more clicks. I have unsubscribed to a whole load of the clickbaiters.

I think the original movie was aimed at teenagers and adults. Pretty sure they wouldn't have ghosts giving BJs in an '80s kids flick (even if we saw it as kids). Then they released the cartoons (both Filmation's Ghostbusters which wasn't based on the movie and Colombia's The Real Ghostbusters), which clearly had a younger audience and toys to sell. Haven't played the game, but I'm assuming it's more in line with the cartoons than the movie. Obviously they were never going to manage the comedy of the original, so it's not surprising. Production quality looks good, even if it's too simplistic or lacking in challenge and content.
They only part of Ghostbusters that was aimed at children was the cartoons. The movies were aimed at teens. The cartoon graphics are not the games issue. the game play loop is the problem. It doesn't really capture the Ghostbuster feel.
I’m not sure if she makes the mistake throughout the game but, she claimed “that ghost” was a class 3 when it totally looks more like a class 5.

the only thing that i know is that someone is developing a VR mod for GB the videogame...the best GB game ever...i tried this s**t in VR for Meta Quest 2 and returned the same day... Exactly what you said back then there was a lot of GB fans...nowadays only nostalgic so they develop something like an arena games to include everyone ,some nostalgic and whoever like these s****y games
Not a following of young people I can't get a lobby with adults I just get kids constantly saying lines from the films I've heard the Twinkie joke at least 67 times today
Well I saw the movie today and there was way more adults then kids.i think a lot more older people will play this game than you think
That’s the point I made in the video. Adults that enjoy the franchise will not be entertained by the child like approach they made with this game. Sadly it’s made more for the kids that the OG fans

I clearly explain all of this in the video rather than some I don’t cry and make a bad review based on not getting a key early. I look at the game as a hole and then give you the tools to make up your own mind while sharing my own. So many other tell you how you should feel over explaining how the game actually is
Do kids care about ghostbusters? Are we trying to make kids care about ghostbusters? I can see why there is so much negativity from people who were not the target audience for this game. A more mature comedy-horror ghost hunting VR game would probably have gone over better, though maybe it wouldn't have sold as well.

This game just goes down hill after the tutorial all upgrades item and upgraded weapons, don’t even feel like you’ve even upgraded them, the game is not that fun to play after you played the loop about 10 times just gets boring real quick even with friends. Their is definitely better games out there for your money. In the trailer you see full grown adults, playing a game. Where is it was blatantly made for children not adults. Oh and the game stutters some times as well even on the quest 3 other people have picked up on that as well. Shame wanted to be great 🙃
