- Gracious staff member Daniel shares more ghost stories from the 1927 Lake Lure Inn in Lake Lure, North Carolina, right outside of Asheville. Pretty haunted plus they filmed Dirty Dancing here. When you visit, make sure to stay in haunted rooms 215 (The Patrick Swayze Suite), 217, and 218.
I have stayed there several times since 2009.. I'm a paranormal researcher and have captured many ghostly voices and an apparition photo in the lobby. Only in Your State magazine shared my encounters and photo!! The 1927 Lake Lure Inn is a beautiful peaceful place to stay!!
Also have a screaming voice from room 217/218.

Surprisingly calm, I’m glad I didn’t wake up in the middle of the night lol. Me and my boyfriend decided to look up stuff about the place being haunted and this was the first video we found. When 217 was like the 3rd word out of this man’s mouth we got nervous haha!

I have stayed several times in 217. Not alone, though. I have a friend who stayed there in 1998. An angry entity or force tried violently to push him out of bed. He and I stayed there in 2014. Nothing overnight but the next morning we went for an hour long walk. When we got back, our room door, closed, locked, and double checked was open. I went in and felt the presence of, I think, Suzanne who was murdered there by her groom on their wedding night. I sensed that she liked us and was grateful that I acknowledged her presence. Stayed there again in 2018. My friend Carol heard a voice whisper, “What are you doing here? She then smelled roses and felt an unseen force grab her arm and then her leg. Download a ghost detector app. You will have amazing experiences far beyond coincidence. Also, a friend and I got a VERY paranormal photo at Lake John D. Long in Union, SC but, sadly, the camera was stolen several days later with photo on it. Tried to recreate the photo a week later. No luck.
