Numbness is the inability to feel something, so it sounds fucking weird.
Imagine if a durian fell and hit ur head
There's some acorns out here in California that's about as big and spikier which fall from tall trees. Just felt like sharing that.
if this hit Newton's head. gravity wouldn be founded

Nothing wild about durian.
I repeat.
NOTHING WILD ABOUT DURIAN. 😄
In my place, Sumatera still have a wild durian on jungle
@Jung_kook is a bunny but it tastes good though, either you hate it or you love it, most people who hate it don't even try the fruit because of the stench.
The smell is wild tho
I tried it once and the taste was okay but the consistancy was very weird. Even so that it was just a little bit i had a puking reflex. Given the chance i will try them again.
I am half Vietnamese and grew up eating it
My father ( Japanese ) tried to convince me not to try it or smell it
Too late 🤭
7:18 *AND ME!!* I love durian oml,it's even better when you eat it cold😍. I also like to make 'bubur durian' (durian porridge) when I have left over, it is made with pandan leaves, pumpkin, green beans, coconut milk, palm sugar and durian.
P.s I want to taste the stinky tofu, it looks really good tho.
I honestly love the smell of durian. I lived in the states until 6 years until I visited Thailand, my mother's home country. It tastes soooo good. Even if you hate the smell, try it. It tastes WAY better than it smells. Don't eat too much though. Too much will give you BAD diarrhea.
I don't get it why people says durian smells like rotten shit. It don't. It just DON'T.
Your nose might be broken! It's not the same smell at all! :D
But if you say specially COOKED durian smells like shit, yea that I can agree. Yes there's durian "sauce" recipe...
Yes durian's flower is also edible like regular vegetable... If you don't know that already.
i have eaten durian for my whole entire life. but i never know that durian have flowers. what have i done with my life? and durian sauce recipe? i only know tempoyak and i love it.
All fruits start as a flower before fruiting thats how they pollinate. The pollinated flowers turn to fruit so animals will eat it and transport the seeds away from host to not compete for sunlight snd nutrients
Bear Grylls: *I'M TAKING YOUR WHOLE STOCK*
Sweet flavour of durian is my favourite but idk how to know if they are sweet or bitter by looking at them so i just anyhow pick and 70% of the time i get the bitter taste 30% of the time i got sweet
You smell the durian and tap it with knive to know how ripe it is. Know this from seeing durian vendors doing them when picking good ones to sell.
You should go to North Sumatra, the durians there are always sweet. My mom came from there and she said the durians in Jakarta are awful thus she never eat it.
Many countries love fully ripe durian...Yes! some ripe durian give you bitter taste. I am from Thailand. We eat almost ripe durian with more firm texture. But you have to know when to cut it open coz, its all about expertise! Fully ripe durian smell really bad if you ask many Thais.
Depends on the types of Durian. Hybrid/clone ones taste the same along the line, while village trees usually have multiple taste of Durian from a single tree.
Thai durian is safe choice, but malay durian has more intense flavor
I really respect the amount of wholesomeness that is uploaded onto this channel.
12mins and no ads you guys are bloody legends and your content is so good this is obviously why I'm Subbed and the bell on :)
I also can confirm that freshly fall durian is the best. 👍
The Amazonian worm looks quite similar and served similarly to Sago worms which could be found in Papua. The difference is they are flame grilled, not stove grilled. And they are cooked with spices and sweet soy sauce, not just salt and pepper. They are known to be very delicious and I myself can't wait to try some one day 😋
I would also love to learn from Wu Hsu Pi-Ying, the owner of "House of Unique Stink"! I love her passion and the way she educates as she speaks of her product. And I respect that she always starts of with good quality fresh vegetables for her brine! I normally see something that looks or sounds gross to me- and my mind thinks that's all it is- gross- in every way. But! Nope, I am wrong! This, and I'm sure tons of other products out there, are a labor of love to their creators! She just showed me that. That's why instead of just trying her stinky tofu, I would rather meet and learn from her for as long as she would let me. I feel, all the way over here in Arizona, USA lol- (thank you UA-cam!) that she has a lot of wisdom to share with the world. ❤
Yall, lets get drunk on duriannnnnnnnn
I'm so happy I discovered this channel! Very informative and doesn't have those annoying ads in the middle of interesting parts. Thumbs up to all the people behind this channel 💕
They've drawn the words and then they poke them with sticks through them and then they bring them to death wow sounds really good
English?
I remember eating a durian , and my flatmate keep asking me " did you vomit or take a shit in some corners of the flat ?" for like 3-4 weeks after that.
Quite interesting that the Filipino man kept switching from Filipino to English like that. I wonder why?
english is already part of this country and and its more easier than our mother tongue which has some spanish loan words. So instead we prefer to use english to give more emphasis. We switch without even noticing it and its normal for us,at least.
YATO_ GUMMY I see, that's very interesting.
The Onyx Viper it's called taglish
Even Singaporeans and Malaysians do that. Switching English and native language.
I guess that's what happened to most of colonised countries. Even Indians too. :)
"I haven't found a single person that tells us they don't like the chontacuro încă they try it"
I HIGHLY doubt that
I don't know if I'm fucked up but the yellow worms looked kinda cute and when they got cooked I got sad
The chontacuro [Amazonian Worm] in Sabah, Malaysia we call it butod for Kadazan Dusun. I don't eat butod but my father bring freshly butod from I don't where. Either my father cooked or grilled or even eat it *_alive_* . My uncles and aunty eat it.

I've actually tried tamilok when I was in the Philippines.
TBH it actually tasted like oyster no joke
Im filipino and I was surprised, never heard of tamilok. That was interesting :o and also Durian is huge in the Philippines. It doesn't smell bad, it just smells very very strong, even goes through plastic, cardboard and sometimes box woods. Its good, just not my thing because its very sweet.
When the Amazonian worms are being cooked when they’re moving that’s just nerves right?? 😳
In India raw durains are called meat for vegetarians !! Cuz raw durains are soo tasty and especially when cooked it's seeds from inside are rich in flavor I love them !!

I don't know why but the smell of durian to me is calming for some reason. Maybe it's because I have eaten like over 50 pieces in my lifetime but idk
This video was so surprising
I mean *I didn't even know that there were Tamilok in the Philippines* even tho I live there but maybe it was because of our situation right know, trees and forests just keep disappearing
But the most uncomfortable creepiest thing that I watched was those...

We love Durian in this country!!
Every southeast asian nation loves it
I always and will always love DURIAN ..esp. here in the Philippines island of Mindanao particularly in DAVAO CITY .. 🇵🇭
The smell is sweet scent to my nose ..the taste is far more better .. It is one of the fruits that we encourage tourists to try and taste them along with other uncommon fruits that many tourist don't know about like the milky sweet MARANG, DUHAT, KAMATCHILE, BIGNAY etc.
"Wow! I can feel the numbness"
Im dead
I love eating durian and it is my third favourite fruit. I started eating it since I was one and I got spiked quite a bit (it was painful back then). I always go to my grandparents' house to eat it and me and my grandmother ate most of it. It was her favourite fruit and she said nothing could change her mind about durian. When I was 11 or 12, my grandmother passed away on a Saturday night and I didn't know. The next day, we were preparing to go out and eat (that is what I thought) but my mom told me she had passed away because the fever was to intense. I was heartbroken and my knees were on the ground. Tears of sadness rolled down my cheeks and my mum hugged me. But, before she died. She wrote a letter and it said this, " Grandson, my time has come and I have to go. Be happy and eat durian atleast once a year to remember me.
Love Grandma."
I was actually tearing up typing this in.
Honestly, Bat is also an exotic "Food"
We don't talk about bats... *looks at covid-19*
I could listen to Juan Jose, the chef spreading the knowledge of Amazonian cuisine- I could listen to him talk all day! His language (not sure which language he is speaking) but it is just beautiful! I am probably one of the people who would be scared to eat the worm, but I know for sure that he could talk me into it, lol!
He is speaking Spanish

durian is like an ice cream except it is not frozen.. all time favourite❤️
I LOVE DURIAN!! But, I prefer the sweet tasting one.

Btw durian is amazing.
My family is Taiwanese and we go to the place with stinky tofu quite frequently, it’s sooooooo delicious
We have food just like amazon worms in indonesia. I think the grasshoper is to expensive $4 for such little cup. We have fried grasshoper too. It has 3 taste: salty, sweet, and spicy. It cost $1.5 for 100grams. For durians, indonesia has more than 10 kinds of durians and each kind taste different.
And we have indonesia man here
im gonna explain the taste and texture of two weird fruits
Star Fruit: has the texture of a grape and tastes like a sour apple
Dragon Fruit: has the texture of a strawberry and tastes like a sweet watermelon
