- The history of coffee in 5 minutes or less.
No one knows exactly how or when coffee was discovered, but there are many legends which, although may not be completely true, give us some idea of what happened.
Coffee beans were first discovered growing wild in the highlands of Ethiopia. Ethiopians used to use the beans to make a snack to give them energy. A goat herder took some of the beans to the Ethiopian monks who roasted them and made the first coffee. They traded these plants with traders from Yemen, and showed them how to make the drink called coffee. Yemenites carried the drink to the Ottoman empire and it became popular. This is how it all happened. Thank you Ethiopia.
It's not a big deal its found from here but I hate that the Arabs are claming it falsy....
Ethiopians discovered the beans
Arabs invented the drink
Italians perfected it
💕☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️💕
arabs did not invent the drink idiot lol
@@sajb6041 ummm...yea they did...talk to all the historians and anthropologists.
@@Ppraxis no i talked to my grandmother, ethiopians had a drink already
@@sajb6041 ethiopians those days were arabs cauz they were under the caliphate rule
@@toonworld6637 ethiopia have never been Arab... if Ethiopian only discover the bean why would they trade it to Yemen ... unless they drink it and understand it and know it's use ...and why would Yemen buy some unknown bean .... also idk how long or when it started but we ethiopians have a whole coffee ceremony like starting from beans to the drink .... it still widely practiced in every person home .. like the way we do coffee is different ... also Yemen is a desert so idk ...
Lol. The most-drank human liquid on the planet- second only to water. Coffee. Thank you Africa. And thank you for bringing humans into existence too. (;
Ps coffee as a drink originated in ethiopia/Somalia where it's grown as well. Arabs didn't introduce something so basic to the natives who already carried the tradition.
Tea is the second most drank liquid, not coffee. Mostly due to tea's popularity with India's 1.4 billion population.
Bro it was Khalid a Muslim who invented coffee The story is Khalid was tending his goats in the Kaffa region of southern Ethiopia, when he noticed his animals became livelier after eating a certain berry. He boiled the berries to make the first coffee.
Exactly
I have fallen in love with coffee immensely. I find it difficult to function without it. It has become as much a part of me as the air I breathe. I always find myself thinking more deeply when I’m having a hot cup of that beautiful, rich, mahogany potion.
Emil what coffee do you drink? I’d like to try a stronger brew as I’ve never felt much effect
TheRealDavieLondon It’s an esoteric blend. Very little is known about it, but somehow my neighbor Jamal seems to have an unlimited supply of it. He’s the person I get it from. It comes in a white rock-like form, strangely enough, and considered to be French. Cracke’, I believe it’s called? Not entirely sure, but it’s euphoric ❤️ Absolutely addicted to the stuff.
You forgot to mention that coffee is originated in Keffa, where the name coffee comes from.
no name of cafe is loan from arabic ''qahwa''
Yenenesh Beze In city Mocha, Yemen

Oh thats how coffee discoverd :0
No matter which way coffee was discovered, whoever did it was insane.
Making coffee is such a lengthy process, I mean, you gotta pick it, toast it, grind it into powder and pass hot water through it, and then when you drink it, it's an awfully bitter taste, so why people kept making it is beyond crazy.
Well when you consider that back when it was first discovered there was not so much sweet stuff in people's lives, people had a different outlook on food to that of people today. And probably could appreciate the bitter quality's of coffee on its own like many still do today. Though when it eventually made its way to Europe that is when some people began to add sugar.
i am proud of us
even though the coffee that brought it to the modern world and traded it was from Arabic, but if seen now the biggest coffee producing country is equator countries. the Arabs will not be able to cultivate coffee plants as much as the country at the equator. Arabic can only and knows how to trade it. because Arabic is synonymous with trading and this is one of his identities.

There are some discrepancies in the dialogue, much hidden data, poorly sought out research, and highly inaccurate timeline and events.
My suggestion would be doing extensive research and creating a dialogue thats more universal to the theme, rather than some sort of decisive, empowered, ego-based story telling of someones imagination mixed with some random wiki "facts"...
i dont think it matter, his goal is to get views, and so he tells people what they want to hear.
