Best start for a bleed build, dual +9 Katanas, Royal Remains Armor set, talismans, great ashes of war, 75% of the map unlocked, blood flame blade, and multiple bells for unlimited buying smithing stones. This remains the best early game bleed build. I made this Samurai OP early Bleed Guide on Patch 1.02, So replace hoarfrost stomp with bloody slash. For the crystalian, use the morning star found in weeping penninsula. The dual Katana remains the most OP early weapon for bleed builds. Maybe the bandits curved swords if you want to do some early farming. Either way you should have an OP bleed build to destroy the game with in ljust a couple of hours.

For the sleeping dragon once you kill him mount your horse and run to the site of grace quickly near the fort and you’ll still get the ruins

@@dansimmonds9463 generally lb for the double. I generally lead off with either a crouch lb which swings both simultaneous, or a jumping lb which does the same thing but with extra jump attack damage for both simultaneous.

Great video. One thing I realized late as you can skip doing the smithing stone bell 1 as Iji at the Road to the Manor grace will sell unlimited 1&2.
That’s new with the patch. At the time the video was made he didn’t sell regular smithing stones

I haven't started playing yet, but decided it would be fun to be OP. However, I couldn't figure out what was going on through most of this video. Finally, my brain registered what you had said maybe 5 times before and that was there is a detail version of this video for beginners who don't understand what is happening in this video. I think my brain was trying to figure out what the heck was going on that it ignored the information of a detail version of this video the first 4 times you said it. Normally, I don't like people to repeat the same information over and over, however in this case it actually worked and got me to eventually understand what you were saying. Something I thought I would never say I'm going to say this one time: thank you for repeating information
Yeah I normally get annoyed by repetitiveness but I know people are terrible at looking at video descriptions and when you have a lot of new game mechanics and footage thrown at you, I didn't want to leave the chance for a thousand comments asking the info that was in the full stream video, that's why I made the stream public and linked it to this video for new players. Hope the full stream vid ended up helping at least!

Thanks man 🙏 I would say the bleed build if I want to just steamroll content and explore, and the faith build for seeing insane numbers, but the fire faith spec is a ton of fun too! To be honest my absolute favorite is my level 1 build lol. I play the most on my level 1 characters
Pro tip: you can use Margits Shackle to trigger the fire breathing imp columns in dungeons from a decent distance.
*Also, helpful guide. I haven't played in a LONG time, and I'm replaying from scratch (twice now, made some quest goofs) to get ready for DLC. I swear I fired it up at first and I probably would've died to the tutorial soldier if I had bothered lol.
Anyways, it's been a pain relearning where everything is, so this is helpful. Was running with the Bloodhound's Fang before but I'm going to mix it up and go for a proper bleed build. That way, when I get the mimic, we will be proccing blood loss like crazy. Might use Eleanoras twinblade...crazy amount of hits in short order, especially with the special charged R2.

@ 2:00 what I did to leave with my 1000 runes intact was to run directly into that room, hit the lever and then hid behind a wall so I can watch the doorway. Two skeletons will come through looking for an easy kill, you can dodge past the first attack and then smash them with your dual katanas straight away
The rest of the skeletons are pretty smart, the archers stay on the top level, sneak sprint into the corner to your right and make your way under the covered pathway, there's only 2 skeletons posted at the stairs, and no one else came down in my run so once I sliced and diced em it was a clear path to the exit
Nice man. I had no runes so it was much faster to exit by dying
@@TitusActualGaming Ayo I gotta say this is so underrated, I had to start a fresh playthrough because I spread my points all over the place just trying to use new weapons on my first character. The new one I'm focusing on Dex, Arcane, and Endurance in that order, with a little dash in Vigor and Int (I think at some point I need a few points in Mind so I can cast certain things, but that's for future me to deal with)
Dual Katanas does so much damage if you use it right, but it's easier to two hand in the crystal farming cave I found, or just switching to a buffed flail
@@OfficiallyMaidenless yeah the mining cave enemies, including the crystilean bosses are all weak to strike damage. That sounds like a nice build. I personally would go more faith than intelligence because the incantations are a lot more useful with lower (20-30 points) investment because you can increase your damage so much with things like golden vow etc. Otherwise get some decent arcane and watch that damage go nuts. I like a lot of vigor and endurance on this build because I can then wear some heavy armor like veteran or radahns, and have a high health pool and just play super aggressive diving into packs of enemies and going hit for hit.
@@TitusActualGaming Yeah I ditched intellect once I realised I'm not gonna use a staff at any point lol. Also Margit went down on my second try thanks to the Fanged Imps +1 and Blood Slash combo, I also used the shackle so I just BULLIED him lmfao I'm not surprised he still wants my ass
When you kill that sleeping dragon, just before he dies and you pop your foot, you need to be on your horse. Kill him while you’re on your horse then, before he disappears, race back to the site of grace by the fort and rest. When you back out he will respawn and you can kill it again. Dupe

Man this is great. I did not know you could go past Godrick and go to the Lakes without defeating him. Then building up Frost with Bleed is ingenious. I made a bleed build but it was horrible. I followed your guide to a T and I defeated Mozilla Firefox (Radagon) and Godrick the first time around. I'm a souls n00b and this is my first. I learned alot. Thanks!
This was excellent - as it took me to the long version which I desperately needed for most of this. Would it be possible to get a rought idea of what attributes you plan to up at each level - or maybe just what you think it should look like every 5 or 10 levels. And if you feel so inclined - maybe why?

@@TitusActualGaming Hmm, well I can focus on endurance for a while - had been focused on dex & vigor. But you do run out of steam pretty quickly.
What I really need is a new predictive algorithm - I'm always rolling too late, or in the wrong direction. Or worse, run in to strike and get slammed on my butt from an AOE I didn't see coming. practice, practice, practice.

Go with the twinblade and get the bloody slash ash of war on. I have a +6 bloody twinblade, and it got 76 blood loss buildup.
I shred everything and I have only played 6 hours..
Game came today and i'm going to try this tomorrow. Quick question though, and that's if going to some of these areas and killing certain enemies has an effect on some of the questlines that haven't been activated yet?
I would have to go back and watch The Whole thing but I’m 99.9999% sure I didn’t kill and bosses or npcs or anything that would effect the game. If you get to a part that you’re unsure leave a comment here and I’ll let you know about that specific encounter

Not a huge thing but if after the fight with patches you can log out and back in and it works the same as fast traveling . Might be slower than the fast travel but it's another option ^.^

It is not. I would use the bloody slash that we picked up. Since bleed was buffed significantly after this video was made
What do you use now since the stomp has been nerf what do you use in the boss now?

I've beaten the game with the astrologer and a crazy intelligence build now I wanna try some melee game play and I chose the samurai and I've been liking it just not sure how too build him I've been doing dex and endurance alot and a little vigor here and there but still would like too see a better build

This build is so good and a blast to play. Accidentally killed Patches as I didn't realize my damage was so high (and his hp was so low) - but meh, only means I miss out on a late game armor set which isn't a big deal.
I am curious, you picked up fanged imps but don't use them - are they inferior to wolves, or just another option for specific bosses?
Nah the imp fangs are way better than wolves. Tbh I don’t use ashes really lol but the imps cause bleed buildup and it stacks with yours 👍

This is a lot harder now that the ice stomp thing does like zero dmg.

Great guide, but I couldn’t do it. My old brain couldn’t beat that first troll boss that you made look so easy. Loving the game, but just can’t find a build I can play well. I can only put it down to age. I will keep following guides like this and eventually get the hang of it. Sorry to hear people have been stealing your content, you obviously put a lot of work into this and know the game well.

As 53 years old with arthritis in both arms and hands it made it very easy.
I did try 2 time before liking it.
But i use the Lance over the Pike (Like he say we can in the video) as it fit me more.
And like the higher damage and Poise break from it.

@@sgt_badedyr4445 yes, the juggernaut is a good build. I made one and had a lot of fun with it. My brain keeps telling me I kshould’ be able to run some of the other builds, but maybe it is an age thing abd I just have to accept my limitations. I can even make Juggernaut look hard at times. 😇

Pure Mage build are even more easy to play i think, But i find the pure Mage was boring as hell.

Thank you! Its for extra early bleed for farming sleeping dragon! on last patch it also had a crazy bug with another skill that was patched.

I started building it but for some reason can’t use the blood flame blade on a katana that has an ash of war…should I remove one of them of the blades?

yeah check my autobomber bleed guide, I like the veteran armor, white mask for more damage, and dual katanas, or rivers of blood for easy fights.
Do you put bleed affinity on both katanas? I believe maybe having keen on both, high dex and activating bloodflame blade is more damage and also more versatile against mobs.
Nope, On a high arcane build, Occult will do a lot more damage than keen. Also, the small increase in physical AR pales in comparison to the huge increase in overall dps when you consider you are procing bleeds at half the rate, my blood affinity build is literally proccing a huge bleed chuck with every single hit. You can't use the blood flame incantation if your main hand katana has blood on it. I thought it would be better to just run both with blood but idk now! In the end I'd still have to run a non bleed katana right?

literally the EXACT OPPOSITE lol. I stream all my videos privately on youtube so nobody can see them but me. Then I downloaded that stream and put a lot of work into it editing to make THIS VIDEO, which is a quick guide that covers all the major points so you don't have to see me riding the horse around for an hour of the hour and a half stream it took to do all of this. Then I realized after posting this video that a lot of people are on this video are on their first playthrough, so as a courtesy, I made the original stream that this gameplay was taken from public, so new players can see every minute of it if they are lost on how to get around the stormviel castle early for example. I don't do adds to promote my content lol, if it helps you great.
To get academy key and bloodflame blade u have to beat margit to pass and i CANT is there another way?
why is the bloodflamd greyed out? it is for me too and i tried to equip the finger seal and it still wont work
Need more stats to meet the requirements. Faiths canvas talisman or later when we put 2 points into arcane most likely 2 scenarios

No bosses needed, the purpose is to get new players extremely powerful before the first boss fight!

What ash of war would you recommend on right hand since hoarfrost is nerfed. No skill ash maybe? So we can use the blood strike without 2 handing?

@@TitusActualGaming Gotchya, would you then dupe blood slash and make cold affinity still on right hand and blood left hand? Was thinking of running blood blade (blood affinity) left and blood slash(cold affinity)right hand, if cold is possible still once I get the glinting whetstone
@@parkerfrode5101 I would run blood blade left, and blood slash right since thats what you will mostly use, then when you get seppuku, dupe that and run it on both. That's how I play my bleed builds, dual seppuku is king, no point is wasting dupe material prior just for affinity in off hand when you can get blood affinity from black whetstone or just blood blade.

You have to switch to your staff, cast it, and then switch back.

Wait did you ever explain why you raised arcane to 10? Is it just for the blood loss passive build up?
no I believe it was initially to use bloodflame blade, however with arcane scaling fixed, I put a ton of points into arcane because it now causes bleed procs faster and your damage scaling on bleed weapons are directly linked to your arcane.

I'm wipeing at crystalian. I do like zero damage to her with ice stomp and katana. Any tips to make her easier? :) It's my first playthrough so im a bit lost how to deal with this now that ice stomp apparently is nerfed.
yeah they have a weird mechanic where they have like a super shell for the first several hits, once you stagger them, they take normal damage. Summon your spirit wolves and they will break her down and stagger her quickly
You can also use a weapon like morning star to make it easier in the tunnels
