Here is what Tom said about his Custodes theme, they're kind of like the legion of the damned but for Custodes, they're called "The Guardians of the Webway" and they're basically the Custodes that had to hold back the daemons in the webway during the siege of terra, they appear out of the webway when they're needed most.
