In some of these games, guys are bringing lists they run in tournaments, and I'm playing a more casual list to show different models. Eventually, I'd like to not work as hard to try to win. Lol. But that's what makes 40k fun.

@@monsterdicestudio I see, and I'm with you on playing a casual/fluffy army list over a tournament list. Well hopefully you can encourage your opponents to bring a more casual list because I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see a entertaining game with fun units over ultra competitive tourney list.

Thank you for watching. I appreciate it. Indirect was updated in the new balance dataslate. Now you hit on 4+ indefinity with a -1 on top of that. Mortarion keeps that at a 4+ because Lord of the Death Guard ability.

I think the rules as written is 1-3 always miss. Not that indirect change bs to 4+. So i think PBC hit on 4+ on indirect. The thing we lost was buffing it to 3 or even 2+ hit indirect with morty and other characters. Going to a turnament soon so i guess ill try to ask around about this before then. Btw, fun fact. I often play against a CSM with this detachment and have a hard time to win. DG have a hard time vs vehicles and CSM used one buffed tank (the one with the big potato-canon... cant remember the name.. demolisher ?) To oneshot my morty. Then next round do 46 wounds to a allied big knight... hard do hide against that dmg with big model's. But, DG is resilient. We will rise and strike again. For papa nurgle ! ❤

I prime with white. The base coat is screaming skull. Shoulder pads are castellan green. Trim is in basthasar gold. I use seraphim sepia wash in between the armor plates. I do have a video of this process. If you l would like to watch the process happen.

Thank you for watching. I appreciate it. Any Death Guard unit within 6in of Mortarion is affected by his Lord of the Death Guard aura. They ignore all and any modifiers to character and rolls. Halving damage is a modifier.

@@monsterdicestudio did they faq this then because I thought the ruling was that the models like Bjorn and the avatar halve the damage of an attack. But don't modify a characteristic, because the modifier is applied after the attack has been made and not before. I can't see a way you can read this to use Morty's ability against it, it just seems like cheating to me.

​@littleappocolypse No faq. The halving damage is a modifier. Look up "Ignoring Modifiers" in core rules on the app. Then look up "Lord of the Death Guard" aura. It's not cheating. Lol. Hoping that will clear it up for you.

The halving damage is a modifier but it isn't applied to morty so no aura, also even if it were applied to morty it doesn't affect one of his units characteristics so still doesn't work 😂 as stated in the core rules only attacks have damage characteristics not units 👍this has already been cleared up many times, I know death guard aren't in a great place but having to cheat to try and salvage a win isn't a great look especially against a non competitive space wolves army

This will be my last comment on this. It most certainly apply to Mortarion. I don't know where you're getting your information, and If it was clear up many times, why isn't there any rules to support your claim. I would love to see were you are getting this from. Maybe you haven't read the "Ignoring modifiers" in the core rules "When an ability allows you to ignore modifiers to a unit's or model's characteristics, unless specifically stated otherwise, this allows you to ignore modifiers to the following characteristics: Move, Toughness, Saves, Wounds, Leadership, and OC for model(s), and Range, Attacks, BS, WS, Strength, AP, and DAMAGE for their weapons and attacks." Lord of the Death Guard (aura): "While a friendly Death Guard unit is within 6" of this model, that unit can ignore any and all modifiers to its characteristics and to any roll or test made for it." Bjorn's "Legendary Tenacity" : 'Each time an attack is allocated to this model, halve the Damage characteristic of that attack." Seems pretty clear that Mortarion's aura covers halving damage. I guess if your play group or TO's they allow you to play it wrong, good for you. But these are the rules right from GW's Core, Mortarion and Bjrons rules.
