The game seems incredibly fast paced. I don’t think I would have a prayer in keeping up. Should be no surprise to you. I really enjoy watching your videos
Thanks for the video! As someone that's played several hundred hours between the 360 versions of XL, Empires and even the import PS3 port, here's some thoughts. Challenge: Take a drink everytime Ieyasu says "Endure" or "Burden" without passing out. Impossible. Voice direction was awful, i.e Keiji's "Surfer Dude" voice, but there were highlights. IMO this was the best Nobunaga and Mitsuhide voice of the entire series. Musashi clears everyone in this game. Character is hilariously broken and has allowed me to clear Chaos stages without worry. Music is phenomenal even to this day, best SW soundtrack, especially Mercenary Mode mission "Important Request!" I recently revived my old 360 to play this again because none of the Warriors games are backwards compatible on any Xboxes, and enjoying it all over again. Also lol @ that Goemon burn.
@@tomeofsilver lol yeah this game really made me dislike Ieyasu as a character. Was a shame they removed the extra moves in this game from the XL expansion in the Orochi titles. Bonus, did you know Nobunaga's "psycho crusher move" from SW1 is hidden in this game behind his level 3 powerup of enhancing his sword? Empires was fun, but they messed up releasing it before 2XL, since Toshiie, Gracia, Motochika and co were missing there, another blundered opportunity. Oddly enough, Katsuie Shibata and even Kojiro Sasaki were actually present and playable in Empires allbeit with boring generic officer movelists. 🙄 Lastly, back to the voices, With all cringe about the majority of the voicrv direction in this game, in the XL expansion, Motochika might be my favorite English voice in the entire series, totally GOATed.
I didn't know about Nobunaga's hidden move! That's super cool to know, thank you! I 100% share your sentiments about Empires releasing before XL. I made a note of it when I was recording, but I guess I forgot to put it in my script. It kinda made Empires game feel incomplete without those characters. Motochika's english voice was so God damn good. That deep, baritone paired with his design was what made me fall in love with him when I first played 2XL all those years ago. I also want to give special mention to Toshiie's English actor too. Not every delivery is amazing, but I still think about the cutscene where he's slamming on Katsuie's door attempting to plead with him. I think it's one of the best voice performances in the whole game.
gouemon ishikawa getting the back handed made me choke on my food. lol. the massive cannon spear is real in my heart. The one piece goes unclaimed, but not for long. and a top ten spot! damn. can't wait to see more.
I completely agree. I've played both, but I've always preferred Samurai Warriors over Dynasty. But I guess since Dynasty came first, it's the Warriors title that gets most of the love. At least the Samurai Warriors titles seem to be more consistently good quality compared to Dynasty Warriors, which to me is all over the place.

It can definitely be fast, but on the easier settings, it can be kinda relaxing, believe it or not!

No way will I do that challenge, haha! His reenforcement quotes alone would kill someone by alcohol poisoning before the end of a single battle!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! All I'm saying is the Japanese would have been unstoppable if they put more time into making a cannon spear lmao
idk about the voice acting why so many people on the west didn't like it, but i think it's better than the first samurai warriors voice acting
Hey, I also like playing this game too. But yeah the voice acting is......"yeah."
It's a special kind of awful, haha
@@tomeofsilver true, and it sad that this series was overshadowed by the Dynasty Warriors games.

@@tomeofsilver oh i totally agree with you. And can't wait to hear your thoughts about the Warriors Orochi games.
I'm excited to get to them, too!
