i agree with almost every point you’ve made. code cein is one of those games where the more i think about it, the more i like it. one thing i like is that although the world is grimdark, the main characters are quite the opposite. there are themes of finding hope in a hopeless world where you and your comrade are always trying to make the city a better place
I really like your perspective, and I think you can see moments like that in even just the small conversations you have after giving your party members gifts they like. Seeing Louis get excited over a book you give him shows that they can still find joy in the small things, even when the world around them has fallen apart.
I brought this game 2 weeks ago, and I still have not played it, because I'm terrible at soulslike games and I rage quit them. But watching your review of it, made me put it in my PS4 and install it.
@@tomeofsilver i never knew about the partner system. And i can't wait to create my character. Just hope i can create my avatar picture of Barret on it.
2:43 nice. gotta love the edge lord aesthetic. 5:52 when you really can't calm your t!ts. i really like that page flip censor. what was your choice of gifts for the silver-sama playthrough?
I went with a very aggressive build, where I had a bunch of gifts that boosted my attack and ability to dodge so I could rush in and take down the boss as fast as I can. Basically, it was a "melt or be melted" kinda deal. If things went well, the boss would be down super quick, but if I messed up a dodge or two, I'd get annihilated haha
Good to see people haven't forgotten about this game. Here's to a potential sequel that can iron out the few flaws of the predecessor. Oh well, one can hope.
The character creator is so good! Looking up other people's creations on Reddit and UA-cam was amazing. The creator really let's people flex their creativity, and I love it!
Haha, I don't know if I feel quite as strongly as the RPS reviewer. I found the fanservice implementation comical due to the tone and setting, but I hardly found it upsetting. Interesting read though! Lol
I haven't had the chance to crack open my copy of Lies of P, but I've heard nothing less than incredible things about it, so I'm looking forward to it!
Everything is accurate even the discription of the game 😂😂😂 but i have to disagree with you on the map design. Most of them are annoying and doable but till this day i have never experienced the frustration of a stage in a game more than the white cathedral.
Ah Code Vein, good times

It's definitely worth giving a try. It can still be tough, but hopefully the partner system can help give some leeway and ease you into things.

If you want easy mode us Yakumo he can basically kill anything beside bosses by himself lol.

I dare to dream, especially if means getting a return/update of this game's character creator!
Preach bud.😎@@tomeofsilver
I can't believe how accurate you made your avatar!! Looks so great, down to the palette and gloves.

Love the fan service. You should read Rock Paper Shotguns review lol
Lol, sure thing, I'll give it a read! Thanks for watching!
