Dang top 25! well done Shantae! the switch to holding a button for transformations seems like the obvious choice when looking back at the first game. What were they think in the first game? glad to see them redeem themselves.
I think what they were going for in the first game was entering the inputs in a rhythm is kinda like the player dancing, since you're moving to a beat. It's a cute idea, but in practise it just kept slowing the game down.
Great review, lovin' the show! I've started this one on my Switch. Pretty good so far. Metroidvania being my favorite genre, it's surprising I haven't finished this one yet. Got a favorite genre? The randomizer means you're getting a pretty big variety, I imagine.
Thank you so much for watching! I love quite a few metroidvanias too (especially the Metroid series). How about you? Which ones are your favorite? Picking a favorite genre is tough! I would say maybe RPGs, as I love getting invested in a strong cast and story. I also really like fighting games, despite being pretty bad at them, haha.
Love your thumbnail artwork. You are a man of many talents.
Shucks, thank you so much! That is really kind of you to say.
