This is definitely the best video I've seen of a major train show! It's a perfect mix of major mfrs' product displays with interludes of outstanding layouts in-between. Great job!
Thank you good Sir! I'm not sure if it was smaller or the room was just bigger and better lit with all the glass windows. It seemed really busy on Saturday but the way things were laid out you didn't feel that everyone was on top of you. There was a lot of room in the walkways and between booths. The venue was great for visitors - you could jump on and off the highway really quick getting in/leaving, and there were some good restaurants on the way back to the parking garages.
Nice! I was there shooting my video when you guys were there hoping to see myself somewhere in the background! As freight train rider, I am hoping to set up a hobo display and sell books on freight train riding next year at Trainfest but not sure if they will like it because it is illegal, see what happens! The video was very well done and I enjoyed it so it is 👍👍👍👍 Hope to see you guys next year!!!
I had no idea ScaleTrains was cooperating with CSX to make sure the liveries were accurate, that’s really cool! Great coverage, I’ll have to try to get to one of these shows someday
It is a great scale. If there were more manufacturers producing stuff to the detail level of HO models - it would be a perfect scale to build a highly scaled layout in.
Thanks, I'll update that. It was hard to keep many of them straight because so many weren't marked. The layout had flyers for the Badgerland group so I implied that was who they were.
@ not gonna lie if I wasn’t already getting money around for the BLI Bullmoose I’d definitely preorder the Yellowjacket just cause it looks pretty cool for a Pacific
They are trade show samples that are there to get manhandled by thousands of potential buyers at shows. The service teams at the companies also use and abuse the samples to ensure each sample is ready to go into production.
Easy on the keyboard warrioring. The samples on display for trade shows are preproduction samples. They make refinements to them and test them before any model ever goes into production. The delivered model will be obviously painted.

Good coverage boss. The show although smaller still looks like a good one to attend.

@@TheSteamChannel sounds like an overall improvement to me!
Fantastic coverage thanks so much
The Berk for the next Scale Trains Steamer is going to be a goood one.

Great show to love ❤️
I'll be ordering the patriotic set of Intermountain GEVOs when they become available as well.

Good to see S scale running. It is still the perfect size for running trains as they are not huge and being able to detail them to O scale standards.

Interesting to see a Model Railway Exhibition in the US 😊
Nice
I'm surprised BLI hasn't mentioned or shown a preproduction model of the Q2 considering it's due to come out very soon.
They said it was nearly all sold out already so they were focusing the render resources to other projects.
The S-Gauge layout present was not provided by the Badgerland S Gaugers. It was provided by the Chicagoland Association of S Gaugers (CASG).

@@TheSteamChannel All good. I know I did see some members from the Badgerland group talking to some of the members from CASG.
how hard is it for lionel to get their Hiawatha cars correct?
Because they don't want to pay for the license
whats up with CSX 1032? fantasy YN2 scheme?
good job, however you mostly fail to mention the n scale models, ie like the reefers from scale trains. please do more on n scale.
What about the BLI Q2???

The problem l have is no one is is making economical kits anymore.
I'm surprised at the lack of 1940s art deco and streamline designs. Too many old coal engines.
Wasn’t Art Deco more 30s though?
@@adriannash2705 definitely - but those periods are so great design wise.

Wish Ken would stop talking in the background.
800 dollars and the bas***s are too cheap to even paint the things? If you'd pay $800 bucks for an unpainted toy you have more dollars than sense.
