As an Englishman, all credit to the grace of the Irish players and fans. Truly graceful in defeat. I think both teams would have respected the result there thanks to just how epic that game was. Good luck next week against Scotland!
Irish fans and Irish players are great, as always. It’s just the Irish media (pundits and former players) that make everyone cringe at their arrogance.
@@horatiohuskisson5471 I think the commentary here is Irish that was very objective and balanced in the end. That caught the emotional climax moment for England without favours for either side. Very well done
😅 Irish fans graceful? Bruh they are as bad as losing as the French are.
They weren't graceful before the match... On social, most Irish fans were saying they were going to win by 30 to 40 points and even some ex-players were saying similar... The arrogance was on another level.
@@ashg9023 hypocrisy at it,s finest..the kiwi,s still crying over sa game.😂😂😂😂?
Nothing is comparable to rugby, I am Italian and I am crying. Just so fucking beautiful
As English person I also cried when Italy won in Cardiff 2 years ago, what a wonderful tournament the six nations is! Congratulations to Italy for being up there with the best teams this year too.
As a kiwi I’d never thought I’d be happy for an English win as they are clearly the underdog here good game had everything
What a joy to read such civilized and respectful comments from everyone! Another reason why we all love this game. Well done England a great performance against a world class Irish side.
It wouldn’t be that way if England lost
@@C-gc5wr The hypocrisy in your comment is glaring.
@@roshanley6015 not really ABE crew love it when England lose. Facts
Greetings from Florida. Awesome match! 2x outstanding teams!!! Excellent competition!
That was brilliant! As a Frenchman you know just how I don't like the English team, but usually your biggest enemy is also the one you respect the most... Well done England!
Looking forward to next weekend 🇨🇵🏴!!!
Haha, it's the only place we can still settle our centuries-old rivalry, and has brought many memorable games over the years! Looking forward next weekend, just hoping for better than last years!!
Of course I am delighted for England ...BUT what a great game ..... I'm too blooming old for close finishes like this ! Well done both teams !!
All three games were nail biting this weekend!
How are these highlights, nevermind extended ones? What was the Ireland yellow for? Where was the build up to Englands last minute drop goal?
Yellow was for the Ireland diving over the ruck and slowing down the ball when England had a breakaway cynical action
Foqin A, what a game man! Respect from Córdoba, Argentina.
What a game, England fan. Got my Irish shirt ready for tour of SA
We need games like this all the time in the 6N, it was being built up for weeks and both teams showed up - congratulations and well done England, enjoy your win! Ireland, we go again 💪
Ben Earl is such a talented player, as well as Furbank. We definitely should worry about these two lads ! Congrats from your best enemies for this epic rugby match ! Both teams played powerful and outstanfing rugby, but It’s good to see England back on track👏👏 See you next week. From France !
Rugby. The best game in the world.
looooool
Maybe by strategy but it's really dangerous to practice, I think there should be more rules on how to tackle to avoid concussions
@@danielsanabria6770 it's the danger that makes it so exciting. These guys know what they sign up for. There is already enough woke nonsense in the world keep it to yourself pls
Wouldn't be a problem@@danielsanabria6770if they didn't tackle with their head or go above the shoulders something they still haven't taken on board yet.
Fantatic game, great for rugby and the 6 nations.
Ireland fan here. Cannot but clap at England’s performance. All the skills on display. All the heart. Ben Earls is worth the ticket alone! What a fantastic match.
Stop licking their arse
Joe Marler motioning the 'pass to me' dummy clearly with no intent of playing then walking over the line casually will forever be one of my favourite rugby LOLs
Gorge Martin what a beast
This was a game to behold. I gotta say, after years of hating the england side due toe *ahem* certain elements.
i am slowly turning around thanks to the freshness of Marcus smith and the solid plays of George Ford. This is good honest rugby and i love seeing it.
OF course I know what you're on about ;)
We could do without your fake blessing thanks.
Well done both teams from France
Great game for France too, will be scary when Dupont and Ntamack return
@@horatiohuskisson5471 oh oui...ehehehe🇨🇵🇨🇵👌
God bless you 🙏💖👍
The Irish proved they have the best fans in how they accepted defeat.
On the pitch the English ripped into the Irish early doors and they never quite recovered from it. A great battle between arguably the best team in the world and one that is refinding itself
Right all we need now is for Scotland to show their the greatest side that ever lived beat Ireland by twenty points just to be safe, and England to beat France and score six trys in process,I have a dream.
If Scotland beat Ireland and England beat France that arguably could be enough. Though Ireland's 4 bonus points are impressive.
We all know how this ends, France beat England, Ireland beat Scotland, Ireland win the title, England played better than Ireland on the day, yet shocked how Ireland threw the game when leading and in possession with 1 minute to go, but overall a really good test match.
@@geoffnelson6756 what about Wales and Italy
@@Brucemcleod2345 heads or tails?
stop over thinking 😅....just enjoy the great day of rugby we will have on 16 March 2024🤩
Great game, English pressure was beautiful
England have handled these lean years well, not much to be happy about but third in world cup, still not lost to Italy and now this, they played well against France to,got to never have lean period again, were capable of not having such a bad time, but we got to have underdog win of our own,but luckily we look like were becoming a force again
How many braindead boxkicks you have to do at the end of the match to understand its a bad idea, and BAD boxkicks at that. Congratz to England, they just wanted it more.
Wanted it more nonsense. It could have went either way. Great spectacle.
Well Murray is just a terrible player who’s been making selfish decisions like that for years. I knew we were gonna lose as soon as I seen him coming on. He’s a mush.
The final every northern hemisphere wanted 😊😊
Well done to both teams and congratulations to England from South Africa
Great performance by England. They really worked hard for that victory
Some funky editing
Haven't watched the highlights yet but I am expecting a bloody good match.
Edit: What a match. Seriously, unbelievable match. Great game Ireland and England. Glad to see England win, hehe.
The recovery at 6:36 is astonishing
Tjooh what a game 🎉❤
Extended highlights but still forgot to add smith line break
I think also England were to tired and hyped up a bit, they gave up on bonus point try, maybe just to knackered by then, but legendary performance,England need to fight to rival other big boys and ry to beat more than they us,like old times.
Terrific contest.
Very proud of Ireland but it was Englands day.Well done!
🤫 we are just building , well done lads
Magic stuff
Nail-biting all the ways to the final kick. Well done England, that's the way to end a game.
I've only watched this 5 times so far
Lol @ Marler holding back two tacklers yards from the ball and nobody noticing 😂
What a game
Thanks for giving the end result away before even seeing the highlights… 🤔
What a game, brilliant England, but Ireland will deserves the tournament win next Saturday, England will defeat France abroad🎉🎉🎉
What's the song in the stadium after the drop goal please ?
What did lead to the yellow !!!??? no images 😞
Congrats
❤❤❤❤❤
Revenge is a dish best served with hagis and a side of baguette.
Hard win England, congratulations!!!
Wish i could see why O'Mahony got sent off?? terrible editing of "extended highlights" which are only 10 mins long. Sort it out!
Highlights don’t usually include that, watch the full match!
he got sent off? i didnt know there was even a red card in this game🤣
Or the incredible line break by Ben Earl leading up to it. Strange.
That was close mate
Definitely
@SixNationsRugby Why didn't you show the Conor Murray possession giveaway in the final moments that led to the drop goal comeback?
All the experts say he couldn't have done anything else - there was still three minutes to go!
8-17 and England held their nerve and hit back hard….
Not the strongest Irish side, but England were what we expected of them...Now the French might regret some of their 3rd rate comments!
Beautiful try Furbank
What happened with the kick from the last Irish try? I'd turned it straight off after that as I thought it was over for England.
The Ireland penalty just before HT- where was the offside?
Good game
Well done England from NZ.
Where was the TMO?
Why the hell did Murray kick the ball away with less than two minutes to go? I'd rather we were undeserving winners than deserved losers.
Yes, England were the better team and deserved the win, but Murray... Why why why?
Because he always does, he is old and tired.
Yeah I can't get over this
@@evinmccoy6827 Old and tired and ready to be retired.
@@alankennedy3747 I agree , I dreaded the last few minutes with Murray on the field . Stick the ball up your Jersey., sit on it but don't give it to the opposition. We had fresh leg on in the forwards, were they over trained. I wonder.
Ireland went 40+ phases against France couple of years ago, they kept possession for 37 phases against NZ, yet repeatedly they kick away possession and end up desperately defending to prevent a defeat, just rolled the dice again and lost, poor kick by Murray rather than a few phases with the forwards and kick it out.
Thanks for the result in the title!
That was a great game for once it went England's way and pulled Ireland back to within 0.89 points of the All Blacks in 3rd in the World rankings, Looking down the list Italy has moved up the rankings with their own win over Scotland now 9th spot replacing Australia now 10th in the standings. But I have a feeling Australia will not have the same mindset as last year, for now must sit and watch, like the All Blacks & South Africa. In Super Rugby Pasifika it shaping up to be tight at the top with 4 Australian sides & 4 Kiwi side currently in the top 8 with Fijian Drua 10th & Moana 9th breathing down Waratah's neck in 8th all 3 on 5 points.
I think 2024 is going to have plenty of surprises this year with some great matches coming our way.
Yet two more rounds to go the grand slam gone all to play for. Will there be a sting in the tail yet?
I'm aussie mate.don,t give us this super rugby crap..kiwi,s are finished. Fact .ye wouldn't break out of a wet paper bag😂😂😂 yer finished mate.demise is rapid.😂😂

I'm Maori,
I don't care what you think,
should I be concerned or what?
What's rapid is the Australian rugby team mate, sliding down the World Rankings to 10th,
get a grip and run along now the answer is not on this side of the Tasman mate.
mimiha atu
I'm Maori@@michaelmoynihan9591what makes you think anyones agrees with you when New Zealand ain't languishing in 10th spot on the RWR.
Our demise certainly don't look like an Australian demise does it.and one negative little Aussie don't speak for Australia.or Australians don't be weak man.
Go back to sleep@@michaelmoynihan9591talk about your own demise our lowest RW Ranking was 5th ever. And while many may hope for our demise, should worry about their own. We're 3rd ATM and Australia 10th tells a story right there, demise is rapid but ain't ours you should be worried about. but yours.
Finally ref doing his job in the rucks. Ireland back to humility. Logic. From France with love
Did you not see the dangerous lunge by Genge on Furlong, or Marler repeatedly holding Irish players after the ball was away, preventing them from rejoining the defensive line, ref and TMO missed those.
Ireland needs to be more Kiwi's in the team asap.
🏴🏴🏴
England can and must and will up this performance another thirty percent,we will over take ireland from next year,i always felt as long as we are angry and go for it we have slightly better players.
Once the score reflects the dominance England will be cooking. Hopefully they’ve finally turned the corner
Well done England
is this what we call now AI? the scene at 1:56 England score and the crowd behind don't move.
Missed out the best bit…..Martin wiping out Beirne. What a player this guy is.
Alot of people saying this kiwi player for Ireland this Welsh player for England,IE it's not England it's not Ireland, every team in world except maybe South Africa can have same said about them, come on I still believe both sides even without outside help would produce good sides.
Technically even SA though as a few players born in Zimbabwe. Welcome to a globalised world
@@jonnybaynham1689currently all Springboks are born and raised South Africans. Only 2 players in the last couple decades were born outside of SA. The Beast(Zimbabwe), Percy Montgomery(Namibia).
No offence Rob "over thinking comment" .....we all love the game and Saturday is a huge day.....have a good evening
Yeah thanks, won't ever joke again, sorry for any offence
Just asking why did a bagman run across play. I have never seen this happen before, in my forty-five years of watching rugby. Is this a new feature.
I started wondering if the 6N was over...Well what a weekend!...You cant not love rugby...capetown
damn highlights videos with penalty kicks but not the action before !!!!
Whats the stadium song at the end
@@edwards7877 I don't think that's it
@@edwards7877 no worries man 👍
Nit-picking, but 2:11 isn't Ollie Lawrence already IN THE RUCK, 100% stays on feet, and then rips the ball out? How is that ever in at side?
He is initially part of the tackle, which means he has to let go (he does) then can enter the ruck from behind the back of the ruck on his side: he never gets onside. Having said that, the ref could also have penalized the Irish No.2 for going straight off his feet: breakdown penalties are a bit of a lottery.
What's the point of highlights when they don't show the critical events - I don't want to see someone kicking a penalty. I'd like to see what the penalty was for.
Terrible editing - why not show Ben Earl’s break to win the penalty that POM was sin binned for.
England fully deserved it, we didn't play at our best at allllllll I was very surprised by this. Roll on Scotland should be another good game
They were at their best there were some good things done by Ireland but England being at the right end of the field always had a chance, the drop kick was always on. they took their opportunity. England 5th in the rankings are only 0.04 ranking points behind France in 4th on 86.39 it's squeezing up in the top 5. South Africa is sitting pretty on top.
1:43 "Tony Lawrence you were just on the end of a very good move.." Jesus bro, how do you shit on your own team whilst congratulating at the same time?
Forward pass by England during the 46th minute
At least show what Peter O'Mahony did to get that yellow card!
Shame, Marler is like GIVE IT TO ME !!! GIVE IT TO ME !!!!..........fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk hahaha
Who or what is editing highlights for the Six Nations? Shocking ...
The referee was very good. Was he Welsh?
These 6N extended highlights are poor. Just loads of replays, no more insight of the normal highlights. Would like to see more gameplay, linebreaks, the set up to tries etc.
Well done England. Bad luck Ireland.
Congratulations England but…Foot clearly in touch in the lead up to one of England’s tries. We didn’t see it but Tadgh Furlong was cleaned out illegally in a ruck (red card) and both ref and TMO missed it.
Humbled Ireland.
Lmao and ireland actually believed they were up there with the best such as the bokkes and the all blacks 😂😂😂
can you STOP putting the result in the title!?
How about you actually watching the match!
All Blacks have the 3rd & final test against England at Twickenham, London Northern Tour 2024 and scheduled Test matches against Ireland, France, and Italy but I don't know what TBC means along side their names, does that mean "To be confirmed"??? for the last 3 matches, anybody know. Be interesting to see if Ireland can bounce back after their RWC Qtr-final exit last year and we owe France one. Italy are not the same team that played at the RWC so I'm looking forward to see how they go this year against the All Blacks.
Not a well-officiated match. For instance 3:59 Gibson Park knocks on the ball before pickup, not blown and an Irish try is scored. So England winning is justice I suppose.
It's great to see two minnows win games against tier 1 nations this round.
saucer of milk anyone
Top game, terrible highlights - out of order, random clips, key moments missed... Had to double check it was official highlights!
These highlights are dreadful? The editor isnt this bad usually?
Fantastic game. But.. A 3 point penalty chance seems a ridiculous result for some petty technical infringement (not dangerous). I would award 1 point (or at a pinch 2). Quite rightly these highlights generally did not even bother show what gave rise to these penalties and yet each one is worth 3 points assuming you have a competent kicker. About as exciting as watching putts in a golf highlight reel. Also pathetic failure by Furbank to get closer to the posts when he scored which nearly cost the match. He could easily have got much closer without risk of not scoring if he had made the effort.
