I've often thought that about passes - but it's not a clear side-on, level view (look at the angle of the line they are approaching) so as with the others, I'd say it probably wasn't. That's the problem with watching it onscreen. The ref is also very close by, so I'd say not. Remember that there are also other stipulations to that rule since few years - which way the body is angled, etc.

And in agreeance with @fabglook , with the context of the time remaining and territory gained, penalty probably should be given. Had it been 65th or even 70th minute I don't think its given because it can be seen as unfair to the french team to force them into a high intensity last push for 3 minutes while the opposing team made an infringement. People for years have been saying advantage should be transitioned into X amount of phases instead to help with consistency but as of right now that is the law of the game

Why can't you believe it? Who was the referee, who were the line flags, who were the TMOs. That shows the bribes at work? It was a deliberate attempt to put Penaud out of the rest of the match. Secondly, if it was deemed to be foul play rather than a rugby incident, the try had already been scored when the clear-out happened, so the ball is dead, that means regardless of the action the try would stand and the most that could happen would be a card and a penalty kick off. You can't be punished by taking away a try that's been scored if someone clocks someone afterwards, that insane. Also to the guy saying there is a pass that goes one whole metre forwards, they only call it if the hands go forwards now, not the ball, they don't so it wouldn't be called. Also from the place on the field (not near a line) and the angle of the camera, it is literally impossible to tell with the naked eye from this replay if it went forward, maybe if you superimposed a grid, but even then, the hands don't go forwards, so where the ball goes is irrelevant. Please learn the laws

They did at the time. It was actually Earl No.8 and not Underwood No.7 who was off the field. He did attempt to wrap his arm but was off balance and going down, so failed to do so properly. It was a very soft 50/50 call and many refs would have let it go, but technically correct.

It's bugging me no end that no one anywhere seems to have picked up on this.
