The amount of trauma Bruce went through in this comic is insane. Having to see your parents get killed because it's the "right" thing only for Bruce to save them and live the life he wanted with his parents only to have that all ripped away for the greater good.
Bruce is destined to never be truly happy, his obsession with the war against crime is all consuming. If you want to see what Bruce without that obsession would be like, you actually don't have to look very far. He did everything he could to protect the hope inside of Dick. Nightwing is basically how Bruce would have been had his parents not been killed and his heart didn't harden.

Pre New 52, and aside from other magic weapons, this story features the ONLY time in canon where Wonder Womans bracers have ever been broken with just raw strength, when Superman shatters one with a punch. It's incredibly impressive as the bracers have stopped Darkseid, countless other gods, aliens, monsters etc etc
SupermanVBatman will always be my favourite comic book series. Every story was so well written. Fav would be Batman being bestowed with Supermans powers. The contrast between the two is phenomenal

I am 67 years old now and feel that DC and Marvel both have had their day.. The new bat woman in the comics was done very well. But the CW woke her and killed the character.. Comics have become something else and folks are bailing.. I had forgotten this story line but I have DC universe and I will revisit it...

I remember this comic. Reading it I felt that the story was narratively confusing and I kept wondering why events following the time change were happening. As a story editor I guess it was because the perspective of the Legion of Supervillains was missing. The events in the plot as written seemed contrived and only made to equalize the power between the protagonists and opponents. For example, why was the (evil) Legion of Superheroes in the present time defending Liberty Island? Why did Wonder Woman remember the 'before' time while noone else did? How was Darkseid able to convince (evil) Superman and (evil) Batman to change time back to the original timeline? The duo was evil after all; so why didn't they act out of their own self interest? I could go on. This definitely was not worth a re-read. Was it only to publsih characters for a patent or IP deadline?
Look super-fun. Now imagine drawn by an ultra realistic artist like Neil Adams, it would have been even better with him capturing all the pain and drama
I used to collect Superman Batman back in the day. It was a great book, but it came out intermittently for some reason and was often not ready on time. It sold out quickly, too. I still have them but haven't looked at them in over a decade. I should dig them up.
Maybe in a few years it will be haha, like the Superman Red Sun story was the most recent one to get animated. This one having Supes and Bats be brothers in arms and going on evil wacky alternate timeline adventures together, why not.

TBH, I never see Injustice Wonder Woman as a manipulator, more like an enabler. She let's and encourage him to do things he could but shouldn't.

How was Darkseid able to convince (evil) Superman and (evil) Batman to change time back to the original timeline? The duo was evil after all; so why didn't they act out of their own self interest? I could go on. This definitely was not worth a re-read. Was it only to publsih characters for a patent or IP deadline?

I used to collect Superman Batman back in the day. It was a great book, but it came out intermittently for some reason and was often not ready on time. It sold out quickly, too. I still have them but haven't looked at them in over a decade. I should dig them up.
