I go through about 50-100 Sacagawea coins a week living in a country outside the US that uses the US Dollar so I usually have so many of these that I get from a coin machine every week. I never thought much about them, but now I'll start to look through them for interesting coins.
I did not know much about this coins , but I've been asking for them in many stores, I already have a good amount of them, Plus I keep adding to make a treasure box as it looks in movies, Golden color is great to make a home made movie of a treasure pirate trip to the mystery dangerous cave. My mother gave all of these Sacagawea coins to me as a gift. She purchased them from the mint exchange covered in hard plastics. I decided I would just put them away because they were worthless. These coins have never been touched! Now I’m eager to know what could the value be! Thanks for the information!

I work at a bank every other day these Sacagawea get deposited and I buy them all up. Two weeks ago I bought 76.00 dollars worth of 2000 P & D. Impeccable condition.
I’ve gotta 2005 P & also have a 2000 D I’d be interested in selling the 2005 P is beautiful with lots of cluster & detail about the coin. Like you said the 2000D coins were circulated so it’s not as fine as the 2005 coin but I am interested in selling both coins today.

Did you check the rim of the coin for the date and lettering? You can see it best with a magnifying glass. It is called "edged lettering."
