Thanks so much for letting me be part of this awesome project! I’m always blown away with your ability to build and tell a story in the most entertaining way possible 🙌🏼
@@augusthofherr8990 unfortunately for you the games do exist on the internet and you're just wrong. i even went and fact checked myself. it actually only took me about 15 minutes of matching up the times in the games to the links on liquipedia. thanks for letting me know you're proudly, publicly stupid. I remember watching that Virge tutorial when it came out thinking it was a run of the mill rotation video targeting plat players like me. After watching it, I remember thinking "Wow! it is so good. This guy is such a good teacher." and wondering why there were no other videos as good as this one. I never realized how innovative it was. Thank you Wayton!!
Was that actually different teams or just edited to look like that? Would be insane if he actually found identical positionings from different matches.
@hhaste Good question. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just different names edited onto the same clip. I know that the map background can be added onto whatever replay. But however it was made, it was a beautiful sight to see.
Wayton doesn't upload that often but when he does you always know it is going to be a good video. Informational as well and with every important detail highly described.
I feel Virge is a bit underrated now a days. He is one coach I've tried to listen the most to. Great video Wayton. Thank you for the great content and storytelling
I've seen so many videos that talk about the tactic of faking the shot for a teammate to come and shoot from a closer/more deadly angle, but none give the G2 roster (Rizzo/Jknaps/Chicago) their flowers for it. Besides the one-man demo chasing style (that turned into demos becoming far more prevalent in general, which I also think they pioneered, Rizzo specifically alongside Retals, Comm was the successor of this), that was their signature move. I'm sure I remember Garrett even talking about it, or watching comms videos of G2 or people playing G2 comming them going for the fake-into-shot play. It wasn't unknown by any means, it just took a couple years before other teams started doing it, weirdly EU/SAM teams in particular, although that era of G2 did have a very non-NA (at the time) offensive playstyle, that's more akin to SAM and EU so it sort of makes sense.
amazing video wayton! said this before, but I quit this game a while ago and still enjoy your videos. because of watching them, I’ve now decided to start making RL content for my second channel! thanks bro :)
Pausing the video to say the "This situation actually happens a lot" bit at 15:15 was by far the most interesting use of video editing I've seen in a while, damn.
I’d love to watch a history of casters! With interviews, to understand how they do their jobs, their favourite moments, what they are proud of, their impact on the community, their inspirations, all that! A portrait perhaps?
I had this video on my feed for over two weeks and I didn't click on it, thinking "How interesting can it really be?". I was so wrong. This was incredibly insightful and inviting Virge gave this so much legitimacy
Absolutely loved this video!! Efficient team play is what I always wanted to be the shining point of Rocket League! I always hoped that would be the the ideal for every Rocket League player to learn and go for! Sooo much fun when both teams pay a lot of attention to efficient team play ideas. Sadly ranked 3s play at most levels still tends to lean much more in the solo play direction... But coordinated teamplays are still my absolute favorite moments in my ranked games. Insane mechanics are very cool, that can't be denied; but coordinated team plays will always be the best thing about Rocket League for me.
can we come to appreciate Wayton starting to look like a growing man, instead of his child like face, another banger video as well, also the passing plays are just straight fire you have momentum and the person down field just if the shots are on point the momentum the ball already has just goes in at such high speeds its actually unfair and i love the idea of 3v3 sticking to passing plays its a team game mode, solo plays its own spot for when you just know you can beat the last man back. This is also why i personally love 3v3s theres so many playstyles that can be had while in 2v2 and 1v1 you're pretty limited.
it brings a tear to my eye seeing the evolution of this game, at its core it hasn't changed much but the players have innovated so much and its made the game better and more enjoyable to watch. Also if virge didnt put that rotations vid out i dont think the game wouldve progressed nearly as fast as it did
Bro your talent with editing, story telling, details, clearness in eveything. Its just amazing. At the end of the video in was tearing up just cause of the emotion with this story yiu out together. I only joined the game when it became free to play. And even then I didn't really get into the community until 2020 ish. But i still love the documentary with the history and highlights of rocket league. Amazing work Wayton. Much love 🙏🙏🔥
So humble from Virge to say "I remember having a conversation with my team saying..." as if that isn't the MOST HEARD Rocket League conversation TO EXIST.
Great video! Really well done! I guess I can see why you didn’t mention the prejump passing play meta since it didn’t seem to have as much longevity as these other tactics.
+1 for the demo meta video Thanks for this one, I haven't followed the esport scene in quite some time so it was definitely interesting to see what Ive been missing out on.
I forgot about the wild identity crisis the team dignitas org had there for a minute when they discarded all their iconic branding on a whim in favor of that weird owl and even started wearing red for a bit, only to hit ctrl+z on everything as if nothing ever happened. Absolute cinema.

Thank you brother, you're the best!
Real
Hey man, thanks for the rotations video, really helped us out 😂😂
why u give y wincon to public?
wayton is like wirtual for Rocket League.
A Collab in some way could be fun.
Wirtual is a Trackmania Streamer and Content Creator.
You know it’s gonna be a banger when it takes Wayton a month to edit
2 months
who doesn't lol
was the best vid ever
I expected better tbf
How @@Heboyplays
@@makisekurisu1761he’s right it’s just as good as the other ones but this took a EXTRA month. But it’s still good we gotta admit it
the edit at 15:15 was so remarkable i had to rewatch it 10 times. all 3 examples from the same major, insanity
You're slow. He just changed the names and map the replay was on so it looked like different examples but it was just the same over and over

15:13 this is actually a crazy edit

yeah loved it I wonder if anyone would point it out in the comments

Such an incredible edit!

I absolutely love team play and I appreciate that you highlighted bumps/demos as a team strategy.
Great video!
I wonder why u appreciate that😂
Love Ur Content buddy
great... funny vid?

6:04 man that shot still blows my mind to this day. It's so clean. Crazy to think that was S5, Deevo was so far ahead back around S3-S5.
Great Documentary! Must have taken a lot of research and time.
It just kept being exciting for the entire 22min. Thank you!
finally, quality rl content
Honestly first like 10/10 Rl video I’ve seen in a while since nothing new is getting released, good shit

real.
@@EklipseRL like he upload very rarely cuz it’s edited so well, I need to watch it, I can miss those 20% on my test lol

Your editing is so beautiful, it gives me chills. KEEP IT UP!! ❤️
11:48 that playbook is something I learned in plat. Is just didn't expect for pros to have that big of a range.
Giving this a like; for the sheer amount of effort that was put into editing and sourcing all these clips in such a beautiful way.
So humble from Virge to say "I remember having a conversation with my team saying..." as if that isn't the MOST HEARD Rocket League conversation TO EXIST.
So basically, Virge gave birth to the META of today. How annoyed at himself he must be...
at this point any time i see a new wayton upload i get ready to expierence a cinematic masterpiece. hes a professional film director at this point.
