Dude. The C8 will he dope! 8nm holding with what? 10nm to 12nm peaks maybe? And a round wheel. Very good! I definitely am feeling more likely to try them now with these new pedals too. But that C8 having 8nm holding torque is gonna hit a spot in the market that nobody actually has yet. Other 8/9nm bases only peak there, and definitely don't go higher than 9nm (which btw is probably all most ppl will need). Im using a 15nm holding torque DD Simagic Alpha and can confirm if the CSL DD had 8nm holding and peaked higher than 9nm than id have probably never upgraded as I really only use 12nm now anyway
For me also, the same as you, the C8 with its 8Nm constant torque and peaks would be sufficient (I asked but no official answer, but I would bet indeed 12Nm or even more) as it would be for most casual drivers. Even the C5 already felt very powerful already.
@@SimulatedDrivingResource absolutely because the c5peaks to around 7nm. Based on that and them already launching the C12, yeah id guess 12nm at most... But, lets see, who knows with Cammus. They're not against adding extras as we've seen, to try and stand out ( buttons on 15nm wheelbase for example).
Prefer the look of the C5 to th C12. Could be tempted as an upgrade from my C5 if the price is right. Might hold out for a quick release version though. Edit: meant to say I prefer the C8 looks 🙄
Its very subjective. I had nothing against the looks either. Its a bit different but that doesnt make it bad. But the majority of people I spoke about it were less enthusiastic. And yes indeed, the QR version is something to look forwards too. With the design of the C being so special, it will take some innovative idea to make it work
@@SimulatedDrivingResource did they said if already existing bases will be able of implementing that cr system? or the whole base will be redesigned for that.
That is the question. I was able to ask question via the interpretor. I know the C12 will be first to go but unfortunately, I don't know if it will based (and compatible with) the current design. I will clarify this with them and will get back to you.
@TheErlans 10 days later and I know nothing more. My contact at Cammus resigned and the person who I am dealing with now is not clear at all. It took 3 days already to explain what I meant with quick release. In the end, I had the answer: "Yes there is a different rim available for C12, yes there is more in development". Sorry that I don't have more info.
All this overpriced, over fancy products are not always what the normal joe wants or can even afford. Simple, clean and priced accordingly. If cammus can keep the prices affordable, they won't be able to keep it on the shelves. Not sure what the button box 8s going to cost but that would be a nice addition to any sim rig. I might buy one.
Exactly my friend. But you say it will "if they keep it affordable". There is always a chance, and I really hope not,.but if they become too popular that also the prices will increase. I really hope not because it is one thing I really appreciate about Cammus. The fact that they are democratically priced for a far greater people than the competition. That button box indeed also poked my eyes out. I wannnnnnnnnt 😆
They had a wheelbase on a kart for the kids. Neat idea.
Yeah its nice. Cammus actually makes carts too 😎
Cammus always like to try something new. Thats why u love em
Certainly ONE of the reasons why I love them 😆👍👍👍
@@SimulatedDrivingResource yeah same here I really appreciate your videos on cammus. also did you know the 15nm unit got updated with new buttons now
Yes. I think already some time ago. Looks better estethically. I really hope also that they will keep on using the green accent color. Loving it
@@SimulatedDrivingResource yeah nice to see they update their product definitely gonna pick on of their products this Christmas

you should of asked cammus if they planning on making a budget base not any of those base + wheel thingy
They are planning on quick releases for their C series

C8 is an old wheel, it is no longer produced
I believe that was the LP8
@@SimulatedDrivingResource is LP8 no longer being produced?
Don't think so or perhaps solely for the Chinese market but not sure
