Hi all , I made a mistake in the vid ,text is wrong at 1.39min ,it should be :-
above zero range, if pellet low, lower BC.
above zero range, if pellet high, Raise BC
sorry for the stuff up 😕

Soooooo glad you made this video ,I zeroed my zulus today and all was great until I went from 30 yards to 12 yards and the POI was near 2" low ,so watched your video a few times and now pellet on pellet, had to set the scope hight from 7.7cm to almost 9cm ,thanks once again and I've mentioned your channel on the Vixen and arken FB groups 😊

@@cjoutdoors8264 I like it... The LRF/BC seem to work really well once tweaked using the method in this video.
IIRC BC varies with range so I guess you average it out over the working range you want.
Pity it"s 4/3 format (Probably due to the thermal) which means fov is a bit tight but at night I use the thermal as the main window which is wide enough with the NV as the PIP window.
I have the 940 nm IR option and it seems pretty stealthy...
I have some 10000mah power banks that I fit to a piece of picatinny rail on the side of the scope and they run it all night. If you try using the LRF when the battery level drops the whole scope switches off .
I stream the video to a 10.2" tablet so I don't have to stare into the scope all night. There's about a 1 second latency so it's no good for taking the shot.
My previous NV was a Sytong HT-66 behind Vicoptics C3 so a bit of a step up.
I built and insulated hotbox target and use foil backed targets to zero the Day/NV first the impact point then shows up as a hotspot to zero the thermal - currently have a 10mm group with 6 shots Day/NV and 6 shots thermal at 25m .

@@PeterSmith-n1y 👍 BC can seem to drift at longer ranges ,I sometimes wounder if it the pellets! I just use them straight out the tin . At times there on the mark sometimes not .
Zulus will do the same on low battery, just switch off , it does give you a battery at 20% warning ,at that point I should just change the battery.
Thanks for taking the time for your write up , sounds like you got a great setup ,you've put some effort into it 👍 . You should make a little vid of it 🙂 . DNT seem to be going in the right direction with there scopes

Great explanation mate and a good clear vid. Am I correct in thinking this would work in theory on any scope with a ballistic calculator, such as the Alpex lrf or the Oneleaf commander nv400 that also need the BC and scope hight put into them? Not got one yet but if this is a way to fine tune it will save air and pellets. Many thanks

Hi mate. I'm confused. Above zero range, if the shots hitting below the Ballistically calculated new point of aim, surely that means that the BC inputted is too High so you need a lower BC. your text says to increase it

I bought one. I have a few questions is you have time. I can't seem to get it to focus clearly at 10 yards, like I have seen people do in their homes at night. Also as I look farther, it seems to require using the focus adjustment similar to using binoculars of parallax adjustment.. All of this at night. Is this what is normal?

Measure the diameter of the scope and the diameter of the barrel, add the 2 numbers then divide by half. Take the distance between the bottom of the scope and the top of the barrel and add to the previous number and that is the calculation. I hope that helps.

Fantastic information, but I am stuck. The Zulus is on a .22lr. I dont have chronograph so I have used Eley specs. Did the one shot zero at 50 metres. Spot on. Checked it at with LRF at 25 metres poi slightly high. Adjusted the scope height down from 7cm to 6.5cm and uploaded the new table and it is now spot on. Now the problem begins. 100metre target. Ranged it with LRF. Shoots 12 inches too low. Increased BC from .139 (eley specs) to .25. Uploaded the new table. Hardly any difference. Jumped it up again to .45. No change at all. What do I need to do to hit the centre at 100 metres?

Don't know anything about velocity adjustments, try ,reset BC to standard value, then reduce velocity to see what it does.
