So would it be safe to assume, that your guitar sound is like a hybrid deal, the ox is for us but the feel of the air moving, the cab is for the band? For the sake of feeling good, which I totally agree with and get, I know this is like watch the video again dude, but I'm just not there,
In two words: Holy Shit.
I’ll be on the stream, but I want to say, how can you not appreciate the time and effort you’re all putting in. From the band, to the dude mixing in the HVAC studio, to your Dad and Tilly, let me say thank you for all you’re doing.
Rhett might be the coolest, most down to earth musician that we can all relate to - such a humble, great guy - thanks again & looking forward to the show tomorrow.
Indeed. No BS :)
It's difficult to understand just how much hard work has gone into making this happen until you're confronted with this walkthrough ... So many potential nightmares in every section, yet you've overcome them all in such a short amount of time while also building and rehearsing a new band, as well as for the most part keeping your UA-cam channels flowing... Respect to all involved and I hope from this point forward it's easy sailing and nothing but enjoyable for all of you! ... Can't wait for the first show! 👍😎
It's simple:
Rhett uploads a video, I click the like button.
Are I SLAPP the subscribe button
wow, never heard that one before.
Sterling Pilgrim search DAVIE504
And SLAPP the subscribe button
Thanks, Rhett. Love this series. Love the channel. Looking forward to the stream.
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I've had a crappy day, and once I finally got home and was able to relax I saw this video in my feed and I said "THANK GOD THERE'S A COOL VIDEO TO WATCH!" I'm a super gear nerd guitarist who also plays keyboards and a little bass and drums. And I love ALL the gear. I had a Rhodes back in the 80's and I loved it, but at 120 pounds it didn't make the move to Florida when I moved here. Great video!
How cool, Rhett! Thanks for the detailed rundown. I'm sure it'll have a few hiccups but just know you have a forgiving audience of people that believe in what you're doing and completely enjoy your sharing spirit! I'm excited to watch and learn!
A lot of leakage problems would be solved with a drum booth. You can get clear acrylic panel kits that work really well for under $600. We have one at our church for the worship band's drummer.
Those things sound and look awful.
Thanks for taking the time to do this, Rhett.
Round Harmonic Saturation...................that's what I've been searching for for a long time. Solid guys.
Hey Rhett, my daughter would like to paint your “Backstage Live” band a poster? Are you still accepting posters? She really wants to help you and she loves your teaching style!
music man I hope so too! She has been making ideas for @RhettShull’s poster since he has announced this new series.
Rhett! get on this!
Oh. My.
You guys are really digging in to provide EXCELLENT CONTENT!
Talk about stem to stern comprehensive creation, simply, THANK YOU.
Dude when he said “Baptist tone” I was like WTF??? But then he played it and it totally was!!! Never heard that one before but it was dead on!!!
I love that bass! The first clip I saw of it I spent hours searching through photos of what it could be! Saving up for that for sure! I love short scales!
Man the keys player is just baddass. Not only does he have more vibe than any one is entitled to but his rig is sweet and he runs through the origin effects revival drive!! Too cool
Looking forward to it Rhett. Your gratitude is palpable. I can't wait to see how it goes. I'm sure it'll be great and only get better afterwards.
Wow..just wow. Great video. Really tells how much has and is going into making this stream. Way more than I could have imagined. Thank you all for putting it together and I can't wait to see the show!
Rhett, looking forward to it the live series. Thank you for spending so much time, energy and money to do this. Hope all goes well with no issues whatsoever. Peace!
Tilly is a delight. Feature her more.
Awesome equipment and setup. Thanks for letting us see into it all. Now its for each to do their part. I wish you all well.
Looking forward... good luck with the idea. I love it 😍
Seriously, I am stoked to watch what you got going on. Thanks for doing this.
Congratulations Rhett, Tilly and Co on an amazing setup, such an impressive amount of work has gone into this. Best of luck on the night.
This is insane, so much planning and gear to make this happen! The show sounded and looked so good!
Thank your Dad Rhett ! Awesome job on the studio btw
Fantastic all the way around! Keep up the good work and best of luck to you guys!
Rhett - really appreciate what you are doing to keep live performance going. Hope the show is a huge success.
Well you have set the bar, wish you loads of success and great things to come to your team. so my respects to all you guys and remember to stay safe to be well.
Wow... looks amazing. Looks like you'll be able to make Martin Miller style videos but be able to do it live. Awesome!
What a great project, I'm looking forward to the results; Rock on!
Thanks for all the info and ALL of your efforts! Thanks to EVERYONE involved.
Dad didn't get much thanks, we appreciate his contribution : )
This is great !! Congratulations ... I feel enthusistic about this project ...
Soooooo much fun! Awesome fellas.
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO, THIS MUST HAVE TAKEN ALOT OF WORK, BUT COMING FROM US CLUELESS GUYS JUST ENTERING THE RECORDING WORLD, THANK YIU RHETT! 🙏
Great job and great tones Homie!!!
Awesome can't wait to hear you guys play
Thanks for letting us see your set up. Incredible amount of work you and your team put in. Can't wait for the show!! Will be watching from Sydney, Australia.
Excellent video Rhett....best of luck with the live streams
Can't wait, thanks Rhett!
If 2020 gave us nothing else, it gave us musicians bringing us wonderful content like this. The music geek in me smiled so many times during this video. Thanks for being so through giving us each and every detail. I love musical sound exploration and this was a delight!!!
Amazing and inspiring Rhett. That is a LOT of work put in there!
Looking forward to Saturday!
Great how you kept that much info so concise and entertaining!
Hi Rhett ... hello from over here in Sunny Cornwall in the UK ... love your channel and the cool 1st look around your new project, good luck with the new venture it will be epic I’m sure and I look forward to tuning in to watch when it all goes live ✌🏼🎸👍🏼🙂
Fantastic setup. Congratulations. Nice job. Cheers.
Really amazing at you and the band to really commit to delivering in times that make playing live practically unavailable at the moment. Really wish the best for you guys. And also really awesome that you are doing this live show on my Birthday......
Wishing you a happy birthday! @RC32
Happy early birthday!
@@RhettShull Thank you so much!
@@StringsOfCrossroads I really appreciate that!
Rhett Shull my daughter would like to make your “Backstage Live” band a poster? Are you still accepting posters? She loves your teaching style and your knowledge of gear!
I'm so hyped up for the live show.
That’s a lot of gear. Impressive. Great job.
Everything is looking good! I’m excited to see how everything comes together for the livestream! 🤘🏽
Super cool! Should sound great!
So cool Rhett and family! I love a live band and family show. Keep going!
really cool that you have such a nice setup in your own home. looks stellar. i work at a studio that's now doing frequent livestream concerts, so seeing this is pretty interesting. all in all our processes are mostly the same. all of our mics and DIs go into pro tools where we send a stereo mix to that same black magic switcher with 8 cameras. that gets sent to another computer which broadcasts the stream, and we have a third computer for monitoring the stream. cool stuff!
I'm overwhelmed with all the tech gear musicians have to learn. I found that just practicing my instrument, learning new material and gigging took up most of my days. I can't imagine trying to learn & setup the gear Rhett's band is using.
I wonder if Rick Beato will set in for some of these shows? A lot of UA-camrs would love seeing him play.
Wow...huge undertaking. Nice job. Cant wait ‘til tomorrow.
wow that is a lot of planning. looking forward to it
Dream set up .. congrats!!
Pretty excited for tomorrow!
Looks fantastic! Been looking forward to this all week long.
I wish you luck for this.
Because i know if i did this i would have massive problems with every single piece, but you actually made it work!
I am SOOOOO EXCITED for this....
All cool dudes congrats man.
Can’t wait for Saturday!
Thanks Rhett! Very informative!
Fantastic studio. I am excited for you guys. As an audience member, I am excited about watching a show, then ordering either CD or DVD versions of the sessions, etc. - I may be reading between the lines but think that would be an awesome option if made available. Awesome, folks.
The studio is looking really good and you guys must have worked really hard. I am really looking forward to tomorrows show. Good luck guys.
Such good stuff, thanks everybody.
you guys are gonna be amazing.
When you begin touring again please come to Houston! Hopefully there will still be venues in business that are the right size for your show. We have a house of blues and other small to midsize venues.
Hardwork pays of man, keep up the grind!✌🤙
Greetings from London. LOVE the t-shirt!
So exitedddd!!
Amazing set-up and big investments I really hope that it will be a fantastic success, I'm not sure that I can catch the live stream from west of France but I keep my fingers crossed and wish you a fabulous show
Congrats Rhett
Super pumped for this!
Thanks!!! My rehearsal space is built and sized similarly, and it'll really help me dial it in!
Thanks Rhett, that’s a lot! ⚓️
I can't wait to watch!
Yes! Can’t wait for tomorrow, Rhett!
I love everything about this! Keep it up Rhett! Also, Jamie is the Indian Jones of music, Phil is an artistic genius, and Chad may be one of the most handsome drummers I've ever seen (at least from the nose up and the neck down)!
looking forward to this show bro
As a production person, I can say you all have outdone yourselves! High quality equipment, and great planning. I cannot wait to watch this!
That space looks perfect
Man, these videos really make me want to go out and play with people but I have no friends who play or are even interested. Been a bedroom guitarist for over 2 years now :(
Great video!!! Thank you!!!
I would love to hear how well the isolation foam works for you in another video!
I have a busted old multi vox multi echo in my closet with no tape that I got for free from a barn find basically. After seeing JHS’s video and now yours on it, I think it’s time to start investigating what it would take to make it functional....
There’s a guy in Brooklyn that rebuilds them
Dream Basement !
I'm excited to watch this today.
yes I was praying for this video!!!!!!!!
Amazing Man
Can’t wait till the stream🐸👌🏽
i wish you and yours all success - this type of thing will shape the future, and you are at the spearhead. thank you. j.
Kinda insane.. heheh!!!
Can't wait to hear it... !
GOOD LUCK !
Would be interesting to see a future video breaking down your live mix more in-depth!
Great video. 🖤
Nice!
Small world, I set up an ATEM Mini Pro audio feed Thursday. Be aware that the max input level on that puppy is +6dBu. I ended up with 20dB pad and iso xfmrs out of the console...
Hey @Rhett Shull ... what are the lights you’re using?
