Dang, this is a nice review. I'm gonna have an epic dorm room setup
good job on this review, I just uploaded a review of it also. i was very impressed compared to more budget models.
hands down this is my next projector
Just ordered this and an audio extractor with multiple HDMI ports and an optical out so my home theater hooks up to it and all my gaming systems. (Wii-U, Xbox One S, PS4). Next up is the grey paint with the Kilz undercoating. Going to be epic for Walking Dead @ 100 inches lol
this definitely helped me decide on which one to buy, thank you very much!
Thanks for the review. Looking to buy one soon!
Great review! I think I'm going to upgrade to this model from my Vankyo Leisure 3 because of the higher resolution and increased brightness aside from a few other spec upgrades
Now it is in stock.
M18 from Viviciane, AUN, SmartIdea, TouYinger, ThundeaL, and other brands are all the same?
Yea, the names you mentioned are just the name of different sellers. Whenever you see the same kind of projector body its most likely the same thing under the name of different seller. There actual manufacturer company might be common. Like this one if you do some research you might find that Vankyo's V600 and M18's different names of seller look simillar and have exact product specifications. You just have to look for the best brand name having the best product reputation.
In Fact on 0:06 look closely when he turns over the box on the side of the package it says "model M18" and "made in china" .
I have one. I returned it twice for black spots showing up on the screen, the first time it cost me $70 shipping, the second time they paid shipping and the third I gave up on. This was all within about 8 months.
I'm using a $600 Optomo now. Before the Vankyo nightmare I had a $700 Benq 630, the Optomo is crisper, quieter and claims longer bulb life and right now I have two bright lights directly on the screen and it's still better than the V600 was in near darkness, the Benq was 1500 lumens, but couldn't take this much light, either.
Good luck.
Which optomo are you using exactly? I’m looking for a projector for my bedroom for gaming/connect my iPad/iPhone to. Thanks. 😊 🙏🏽
@@hahahaguy777 I looked at their site but it seems to have been discontinued. It is 3500 lumins (lights on viewable), 1080p, 1 hdmi input ONLY, cost $650 or so and has 2426 hours on the lamp now. Still going strong. You reminded me, I'd better give it a vacuming., tnx
Great review! Just curious about the longevity of these budget projectors. Have you used any of them long term? Any thoughts/observations? Have you had any of them break down on you?
Thank you for sharing
Hi great review. Please tell me how to focus this projector to its maximum capacity. How you do it and what you use to focus. Mine is giving me headaches.
I just ordered mine. I have a 720 p one that looks exactly like the 510 but its a different name.. Another video claims there is no difference in picture( I notice little differences) also complains about fan size.. How do you feel about that?
It is no louder than a launch model ps4
Tom Anderson william higgins Hi I’m debating whether to buy the Vankyo Leisure 510 or the Goodee G600, they seem to be the same model. Or perhaps this Vankyo Performance V600 just to to 1080p. Did you end up buying this? I heard that the V600 has a loud fan. Thanks.
I have the 510 Leisure , good machine too.
I just bought a Cibest Projector from Amazon. It's a native 1080P up to 300" projector with 5000 lux lumens. It's very similar to this one. The big difference is the price. I only paid 175 compared to 250.
is it a decent projector and worth buying how is it holding up?
How is this for outdoor use during day and evening? Looking for something for football
Any suggestions on a pop up screen for outdoor?
Also how many lumes do you think this is vs what it states?
How do the speakers sound? Especially regarding the fan and in comparison to the Vankyo Leisure 510?
Hi I’m debating whether to buy the Vankyo Leisure 510 or this Vankyo Performance V600. Did you end up buying any? I heard that the V600 has a loud fan. Thanks.
VANKYO Performance V600 VS epson vs250 for presentations?
Supports 3D? Can I play blu-ray 3D on this model? Can it decode 3d files directly and play the movies?
Great review.
good for movies...NOT GOOD FOR GAMES..ALOT OF LAG....BUT MOVIES YES!!...FAN NOISE VERY LOUD...GOOD 4 THE PRICE
Do you own one.?
@@tarnveersingh2552 yes
I just bought one, and I agree. I plugged in my ps4 and managed to get the input lag down a bit by disabling noise correction, but not enough to be competitive. It still feels slow and sluggish. That aside, EXCELLENT movie projector.
this one looks good thanks for nice review
Nice
Is this one better than Abox A6 full hd Projector sir ?
hi what the bulb lifespan of this product? can you play 2 terabite hard drive with this projector
Are you able to hang it from the ceiling? I currently have the Vankyo leisure 510 that I really like but like you mentioned it’s only 720 native.
william higgins Hi I’m debating whether to buy the Vankyo Leisure 510 or this Vankyo Performance V600. Did you end up buying this? I heard that the V600 has a loud fan. Thanks.
@@aldoceltic the one from the 510 is loud too!! Probably louder because its cheaper. Its 47db loud
Does this thing have horizontal / vertical lens shift for easy ceiling mounting?
a year late but yes
Great picture & sound from this projector but fan noise way to high/distracting unless you crank up the volume.. Shame really..
I have this projector~ is it really 1080p? i would say no, because i have a View Sonic with 3600 lumens & it lights the whole room up & picture looks nearly 4k~ this one not so much. Now i know the reviewers must give a good review, or the company not sending them anything else, but the picture quality is very good, just don't think its really 4000 lumens. Thats just my opinion, fan isn't that noisy especially when hooked up to sound system, takes a little while to get everything focused from one end to other, i did notice a few dead pixels after one week of use, so getting a replacement, probably due to the amount of heat it puts out. Come winter, projector will keep the room well heated, if its a small bedroom.
Its 4000 lux and not lumens on this one,
How is the input latency for video games?
Can you help to compare between V600 and ABOX A6
That what I am thinking too!
Wondring if the Abox A6 is better than this one or not?
Had it for over a year
Compared to EPSON VS250, epson is brigher & quieter. V600 is cooler (not had hot wind generated from cooling), and much higher resolution. When viewing a website, big difference.
Hows the average latency on gaming?
The whole time we are looking at it this projector in the dark. What would have been a good comparison would have been to turn on the lights so we can see how bright this projector actually is. From my understanding if this was actually 4000 Lux it should have been a lot brighter and clearer than this.
I truly agree with you, i have a View Sonic with 3600 lumens & it lights the whole room up, this one not so much. But when you get a cheaper projector, comes with cheaper parts, that just don't produce what a higher priced model would.
@@williamcobb3671 I agree
There's so many reviews of this projector. Sadly most reviews are done by small tech reviewers who don't exactly have the best cameras. Even if the window was wide open and his lights were on chances are the camera would auto expose for the screen/image being projected. You would need a camera with extreme high dynamic range to actually show you what you'd get in person. And most people reviewing this projector don't have $5k to $7k for a cinema camera lol. However my friend bought this for his backyard set up. Which is why I'm here. I have a movie theater set up inside but want something cheap to throw around outside. Even during the day you can see this screen. The brightness on this thing is surprisingly... well... bright. The speakers are horrid but even my home projector and work projector which cost 5x more this projector have shitty speakers. But most of us use external audio. It's much sharper than the 800 bu 600 and 720p projectors. Another con is the fan. It's loud. Like vacuum cleaner loud. Again.. with the right speaker set up it's not really a con. Especially if y'all planning on a home theater or backyard theater type deal. The colors, sharpness and overall image quality is great if you havent even spoiled by a epison like myself. But even I find it to be pretty good and if I had to guess I would assume the projector was around the $600 dollar price range. Hope that helps!
But in the future... dont base brightness or quality on UA-cam videos. This guy did a great job but sadly you can't exspode for the screen and walls/living room to get an idea of how bright his room is. In person that room is likely pretty bright.
where does it score on a black level screen test?
I am considering purchasing your Performance V600 projector but I need to place it on a a table to the side of my sofa, at an angle from the screen. Does its keystone adjustment allow for both horizontal and vertical adjustments? If I place the projector at 45 degrees from the screen will the keystone adjustment knob correct the dimensions of the screen?
Hi Darryl, this projector supports horizontal ±15 degrees only.
Anyone know how to change the tint in the settings? I just got mine and it’s greyed out
Thanks! I'm in the market for a projector. I don't want and LCD etc... Bulbs are just overpriced.
Looking because new sale for 90$, not bad
cheeRs for the review!!
It's for sale for $200 on Amazon rn
Yea but it's cloudy outside. You need a bright sunny day
Vankyo sells more newer models in USA and old outdated garbage models in Canada. Example V700 or V630W or VF630T or VF620T (Newer models) are sold only in USA and not in Canada. What a partiality service that is Vankyo ???? By this Canadian customers are forced to only buy outdated models. I didnot buy V630 for its very high fan noise. Many had complaints with V630 for its fan noise.
Component cable looks more like Composite AV cable!
This projector is disappointing. No zoom. no flip. Brightness isn't what it says it is ether.
