I have a maverick quantum flux R race truck in gunmetal grey with every alloy machined aluminum option parts available for it, from diffs 50k pure silicone oil, mid diff 20k pure silicone oil, rear diff 12500 cst pure silicone oil and a dynamite heatsink and cooling, running Louise gt tarmac rims and tyres, it's insane
Sounds very nice, diff set up similar to ours, but with slightly different weights, how do you find it handles when drifting ? does the back still want to whip round to quickly ?
As the suspension is quite soft you could maybe use some more camber in the back to keep the outer wheel flat to the ground? Or limit the travel with some set screws and stiffer maybe shorter springs...
Ive not managed it yet but Im convinced its the camber on the wheels, if you have a gander between the top arm and ball joint there is what appears to be a brass shim, I think something 1/2 to 2/3rds the size would be right but I havent found the time to experiment short of just removing it at the front so I get some better camber at full lock but the back is either over or under cambered with or without it and therefore has very little contact patch on the tire and is very keen to spin round. I'm eager to see what you do
Yeah i have seen others mention the camber and that brass shim, on going to see how the Arrma cars are set up with toe and camber and try to bring that over to this car.
The Maverick is probably only a bargain for experienced rc addicts. With a bit of tuning here and there it will definitely be more durable. But maybe 6S is too much :) Great video!!
That suspension is a bit too loose for drifting for the power it has. Stiffening it up in the front should help a bit. Tires are a bit too grippy, would probably benefit from a harder comping compound tire. And thicker fluid in the center diff to make the power delivery more even from F-R. Atleast that's where I would start.
Yeah watching the video back the suspension is too soft, not sure how much i can change that with oils, but will deffo do best to stiffen up. Center diff now has 300k oil on and can also sort out the camber and toe a bit as well - i havent given up on this car yet 😂
Its gripped up pretty high. Maybe lower the viscosity of the oils in the diff again, so it lets go a little more. Lighter oil in the rear. Play with the suspension, raise the rear springs so the back end lifts up as well. OR try another brand of tyre with a less grippy compound all round. Its not bad though, 6s is a lot of horse torques.
Thanks for the tips, got a few things to try, the camber and toe need a bit of sorting as well. If we can get this tuned up nice to drift it will be a very nice car to have
we bought maverick quantum r flux 4s 1/8 4wd race truck saturday just gone we looking to go 6s on it in the becoming months also looking to do the ramraider upgrade both brought this saturday just gone 07.10.23 getting bk into the hubby after 40 years ....we have the same problem on our channel 96% are not subscribe
Hope you like the car, keep an eye on the diffs if you go 6s. Always the way with UA-cam and subscribers, although if im honest whether someone is subscribed or not makes no real difference, its only an outward sign of how many people have watched you channel at some point
i am surprised the young lad didn't strip the wheels nut threads when you showed him tightening up those wheel nuts. I cringed when i saw this, because it looked like he was using all his full strength to tighten them, because i am sure they don't need that kind of full on pressure to tighten them adequately .
Thank you for watching, Wont strip them and yes you do need this sort of tightening as they come undone otherwise and you dont want a wheel coming off when going at speed, had that happen before and its not funny
Half the price of the Infraction but does that include the price of the upgraded ESC to make it 6S? The Maverick does look nice though. How did the tyres hold up in comparison with the hoons?
Comes with a rebranded Max10 SCT 4s ESC, the 6s ESC i put in was just an old BLX one i had laying around. Was running hoons on this to see if it would drift on them, trying remove different causes for it not drifting very well, and i know the hoons drift on other cars
For the price they are very good cars, not given up running it on 6s yet, now we have some oil in the diffs i hope it will take the power, on 4s they are great, just needs some tuning so back doesnt step out so easily
@@Rcjamaica876 Lack of oil and the grub screw came undone, plus it didn't help trying to get it to drift, if we had been just speed running it would have been fine
Every time I see that car I think "I'm buying it today". Today is no different except that I'm actually buying it today. Thanks hardcore!
Rek RC Thanks for watching and i do hope you like the car, we certainly have some fun with it

yeah, mine works much better after removing those brass washers, also diff oil tune and a dumbo rc gyro and mine is driving great

Thats good to know - those brass washers deffo coming out

It's good the see the two, well, three kids back together again!
Thanks, yes was good to have Jack out again, the old crew back together 👍
I love it when the front drive shaft separates from the front diff
great to see both boy's out with ya. Awesome video!
Thanks - Jack should be in the next video as well, look at that two on the bounce 😂
I recon 75-100k oil in the front diff might help make the slides more controlable and a fan on the motor should be mint 🤘
Thanks for the tips, fan i think is deffo needed
That was torture testing!! Did pretty well, I thought. 😎👍🏻
It sure was pushed hard, Callum was on full throttle basically 😂
The Maverick is probably only a bargain for experienced rc addicts.
With a bit of tuning here and there it will definitely be more durable. But maybe 6S is too much :)
Great video!!
Thanks - yeah 6s is a but much for it, but think with the right tune it will handle it - one way to find out i guess 😂

@@HardcoreRC Thats not too bad then mate to be fair. Love the look of the body.
How do you manage the filming on the side of the Rc? That was awesome!
We use Insta360 GO2 which is nice and small so can attach to lots of different places
Thanks for the reply much appreciated!!

love your energy mate 👌
Thank you, we do have fun with the RC's - thank you for watching
does it burn through tyres like the arrma?
Really depends on how you drive the cars, any car with rubber tires will burn through then when driving and drifting hard on tarmac / concrete
Nice video boys 😎🚗💨💨💨💨
Glad you enjoyed it 👍👍
Great video guys love u made it 6s 👍
Thanks - more to come is we try to tune it and get it drifting, also need to do the speed runs again on 6s, gutted the files were corrupt
@@HardcoreRC Definitely interesting to see if it can take the abuse on 6s and speed runs. Look forward to seeing its top speed 👌
A bit more tuning and I think it will drift pretty good 🤔
Im hoping so as then it will be giving more expensive cars a real run for their money
Do you ship the merch to the us??
Its via T Spring so yes you should be able to get in the USA, in fact I'm pretty sure it all ships from the USA

Thank you, hope you enjoy our videos
Cool
Thank you for watching and your support 👍
Nice but not defo not a 6s runner out the box
Need to change the ESC and also make sure diffs have oil in, but once done it will run 6s
Tighten diffs more
Could try that, but will try to sort the camber out first. Thanks for watching
You've literally copied Kev Talbot's style. I'm not keen on Kev Talbot.
We literally didn't copy Kev, wasnt aware Kev had two sons, must have missed that part
That is she you put in there sucks with brakes
Not sure what you are saying, please can you explain.
And it'll work for a while and then it will start stinking
What will start stinking ?
