Good to see you back making vids. Great cars but have their issues for sure. Same grub screw issue I had with mine just apply some red loctite and hope for the best. Slow servo, weak body, metal shielded bearings instead of rubber sealed. Check those bearings after all that sand for sure. After a few mods is a great car for the money.
Red loctite? No! Blue..Red will need to be heated up with a soldering iron in order to remove..And if you forget you put red on that grub screw and go to force it off you will strip it out..Blue is the key
"That's a lot of beach in there"-and then- "I'll hold it but i sh'ant giggle it about!" Priceless. I travelled 7000km from Newfoundland to BC and all I got was a TRX4m. 😂😂
I love rc companies that cover their trim settings with a cover. Nothing like going somewhere to run your rc... then having to reset your settings because of the settings being touched. The cover saves all that frustration
@disciplinerc can't find the rally version here in the states....😢 How different are the other 2 versions? Seems like the muscle car might be close? Any thoughts?
Good to have to you back onform my man , yeah I can see what beyond RC was talking about does seem that lovely little rally car has its issues . Nice to see you brought some of the UK with you though in the form of sand lol 🤣. What's the plan for it next ?
FYI beach sand or any salt-included substances are corrosive or likely to cause metals to rust, also likely to cause the ESC functions to make errors. Hope this helps.
0:44 That's still one of the best burnout donuts I ever seen a R/C car ever do Aaron🤘🤘😎🤘🤘 Awesome to see how you finally got your hands on one of these cars you wanted was you able to bring it back home with you???
Absolutely maniacal car you bought… till it broke! WTF! I’m sure it has something to do with at input gear grub screw or the gear itself. I’m sure you’ll have it fixed in a jiffy brother. Thanks for sharing! That’s pretty cool of Jono to do your dirty job of shaking that thing for you!😂😝✌🏻😃
Yeah it was. The bite it has on the input gear is really poor, it's not long enough of a shaft for the grub to fully engage. I ended up swapping to an Arrma drive cup that had the D shaped hole, never slipped again 👌
@disciplinerc ahh thats awesome news. Ive got one of these mavericks coming, and went for green purely because of your video 😄 🤣. Dont suppose you know the part number for the Arrma peice that fits?
That platform is sadly junk, and just a copy from a 8-9yours old China model i've found out. I had the maverick quantum flux.., it broke just by running on grass, almost every battery it broke something. And getting to the diffs, to put some grease in, take forever and a ton of screws. -getting the traxxas stuff, takes like 6 screws, and youre in the diff. Og 4 screws to get to the slipper. The maverick is just a pain. Litterally.
U Wonder why your car doesn't work and your gears are stripped but There you are, driving it in a bunch of sand which is one of the worst things you can do to an r c car If you want your car to last long don't drive and sand I've made the same mistake, and it saved me a lot of money in parts, not driving the sand
The gears were fine. It was a grub screw that came loose on the rear input gear. Easily fixed but a known issue with this chassis. I do agree with you tho, sand = a bad time 👍

Thx dude! Yeah I agree, your video on the top 5 fixes is bang on 👍

Love going on vacation and coming home to a big box of RC in the front room ❤🎉😅
I know right? 👍
Looking forward to the follow up. Looked at them before the rally came out. Hope it's just a little fix. Keep smiling.
That thing flipp'in RIPS brah. So rad!

Haha cross Canada shopping win!!

Awesome video! I cringe though about sand and RC’s hope you get fixed!!
Definitely a lot of beach in there lol.ive seen the muscle car version do the same and it was just the grub screw.hopfully that's all that up👍
@disciplinerc can't find the rally version here in the states....😢
How different are the other 2 versions? Seems like the muscle car might be close? Any thoughts?
Looks good 👍
I've got today my first rc car Flyhal fc610. It's time to make a driver licence 😁
Good to have to you back onform my man , yeah I can see what beyond RC was talking about does seem that lovely little rally car has its issues .

Entertaining and informative as always. Cheers, bro🖖
Thanks dude! 🤘😎

I totally agree. Every thing I take there is destined to get wrecked, even when it stays dry 😅
Great lookin RC! Totally love the rally style. The sand hurts but looked damn fun Aaron!
Haha I know right?
0:44 That's still one of the best burnout donuts I ever seen a R/C car ever do Aaron🤘🤘😎🤘🤘
Awesome to see how you finally got your hands on one of these cars you wanted was you able to bring it back home with you???
Luckily he was… he wouldn’t have left it with me… I’d of killed it within seconds…
@@teamjono69 😂😂😂
Haha thx! Let's just say, some clothes were left behind 🤣
I would have allowed it 👍
@@disciplinerc Did you have any troubles getting it through customers in Canada? Also could you still get any parts sent to Canada from HPI??
Great video. We’re you in Brighton/Hove when you were there?
Boscombe/Bournemouth
cool rc and awesome run
Looked fun while it lasted. What broke? Hope the punt was better than the first run.
I never understood why these companies don't make spring loaded mirrors
Not a bad idea. I do like rubber ones, but they still tend to sheer off
Do you know if there are any side skirts that could be put on that thing that might keep some of that dirt and gravel out? 'Some that will fit?
I really haven't found any aftermarket bits that work. Your best bet would be to make some custom bits yourself sadly 😬

It's getting a proper tune as we speak, more to come. Jono is still digging sand out of his ears 🤣
@@disciplinerc Sorry, I can't hear you... too much sand in my ears...
@@teamjono69 🤣
Sweet looking car 👌👍😎
Same thing happened to me Nit the front grub screw
Yep, flaw...but fixable
Yeah boi rocking it in my hometown 👍
Nice!! I loved it there, it must be amazing in the summer 🌞
Was it that grub screw? I had that problem with my Maverick Strada SC
Yep, it's a design flaw for sure. Did some things to it and works way better now. Stay tuned 🤘
Jono is still shaking the sand out, to this day. 😅
Other than some fixable issues it does look a sweet car.
Did you ever fix the issue? Was it a grub screw? ❤
Yeah it was. The bite it has on the input gear is really poor, it's not long enough of a shaft for the grub to fully engage. I ended up swapping to an Arrma drive cup that had the D shaped hole, never slipped again 👌

Been wanting one of those.
Honestly, looks are deceiving on this one. Maybe I got a lemon, but I've had nothing but problems sadly from day one 😢
As both an rc and knife addict,... how did you get that blade to the uk?
I honestly didn't know the length wasn't allowed. I packed it in my checked luggage with the blade secured.
@@disciplinerc sweet!
Awesome car! Will you tear up some Canadian sand?🏖
🤔...👍👍
Nice sunglasses gentlemen
YEET!! 🤘😎🤘
Looked to be collecting sea shells by the sea shore
Haha yessir! 🤣
One more awesome vídeo
Did you noticed the Driver Names?
Boom 🎉
YEET!
Wow look at that sunset, are you sure you were in Britain???🤣
Yes, its gorgeous... just a bit cold at the moment!
Should’ve gotten the muscle car 😎
Thirst
🤣
Justin got a hoonicorn
sad but do love a review where the truth comes out, still buying 1.

If it is the differential, this car sucks..sorry
就這樣?
For now yep 👍😁
Typical maverick 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha, round 2 will be better👍
@@disciplinerc you better take back a bunch of parts too 😁
