They FINALLY Fixed It: Fuji X100V Massive Update!

- Fuji finally released a NEW software update for their cameras and it works for the Fuji x100v! I tested out the autofocus issues as well as the app to see if the new update improved anything. Looks like they listened.

Right, I don't think there's been any update to the autofocus
I paid 1399.99 and waited 6 months fromm the Murphys camera but I got it at the list. I have it tricked out with grip, WCL100 II lens, and thumb grip all l in all 2K with all that and to me it is worth every penny.
Nice video that pop up as a recommeded video in my list. Great to hear that Fuji updated their app.

The $2000 price tag you’re talking about is misleading. The ones selling at $2000 are either opportunistic scalper resellers, or worse, grey market imports with no warranty. Don’t buy those. If something breaks, Fuji won’t help you. Legit ones with warranty from dealers are still $1399. Yes, they’re backordered, so you’ll wait. You just have to order one and be patient. Supposedly wait times on the black ones are much shorter than the silver.

As a Sony user, I surprise that Fuji users still have difficulty with photo transfer from the camera to their phone. Also, touch to focus on the phone app has been very well implemented on the Sony system. I tempted to get the newly released X-S20, finger crossed.
It's so weird seeing people praising how amazing it is to being able to import photos from their X100V.
I have never had an issue getting my X100V to connect with my smartphone. It's just incredibly fiddly: Switch X100v to connection mode, point my smartphone to the X100V wifi and turn off its VPN then turn on the app.
It's super annoying and I am glad a new app has been released and everyone can utilise the function.
@whitoutpassid I think it was a x100v issue, I have been using it on the x-e2 for years, also taking pics from the app
Amazing video! I have an x100v that I have been waiting months for at this point, cant wait to get my hands on it lol. I noticed that the app being shown is the old app? Did this also get an update? I quite like the new Fujifilm Xapp but would be a bummer if it didnt work on the x100v :/ lol
The update allows cameras to connect with both the old and new app now. Before you couldn’t get any connection. Your new camera should work with the new app.
The app and implementation off the app seems great, but the autofocus is exactly the same right?
From what I experienced and what Fuji states in the update, it has improved the autofocus system. If you haven’t tired updating the software yet, it’s worth it. Even if it’s only to use the app.
It’s always hard to say when they just say Minor Bug Fix. To my knowledge on their release notes these Autofocus updates are for their recent line of XTrans5 and not XTrans4. I would of loved to see the XT3, Xpro3, X100V etc actually get some feature updates to Autofocus or features that are missing from one model to another within the Xtrans4 Series..like they used to do but they are only interested in going after the same trends most of the other companies are doing nowadays. We will see what’s in store for the next couple years. Beyond happy to see they finally fix the app though 😊
@@tillyshull If your are using a filter on the X100v it might cause the autofocus issue. Sometimes it focuses on dust etc on the filter.

I would absolutely buy this camera if it didn't overheat taking 4k video after 7-8 min
how long would u need to take a break from videoing to cool the camera down before u could start re shooting?
It's not really for video buddy. Probably best to pick something else anyway

I’m not sure any of this is true. No AF change and mobile app has always worked on both my iPhone and Samsung.
