  • This extraordinary production follows a group of researchers to the remote reaches of the Galapagos archipelago. Their goal is to understand one of the most sensational migrations on planet Earth: the passage of hundreds of giant pregnant female whale sharks along a narrow reef. Find out what the scientists learn from these dinosaurs of the sea as they brave dangerous currents off Darwin Island.

I also love all the documentaries, but the not to chase these and other whales and other fish to find out where they give birth, locate their mating grounds they just got over near extinction why not give them a chance to just be free of humans for a while, man it sounds like a witch hunt why, to make the area safe that won't work they take long migrations maybe they want to see each other, what is the reason I truly want to know, and all I hear is its too make sure that you are not hurting them but all you do is saying were not harming them but aren't you slightly altering some thing, I don't understand so please tell me, if have time

So Leesichthys for instance may have stopped growing longer at age 20 for example and without having one to observe to know possible variables like this it can never be confirmed longer then the currently living Whale Shark according to scientific principles used in the field

Hahahaha...wow. you do realize that every country uses the metric system, besides the US? And that it's a far more accurate system?
And yeah, the whale shark IS known as the largest fish ever.... because its proven by something called the FOSSIL RECORD?!
