- This extraordinary production follows a group of researchers to the remote reaches of the Galapagos archipelago. Their goal is to understand one of the most sensational migrations on planet Earth: the passage of hundreds of giant pregnant female whale sharks along a narrow reef. Find out what the scientists learn from these dinosaurs of the sea as they brave dangerous currents off Darwin Island.
I love ocean documentaries! They give a fascinating and interesting picture of a world we know too little about, and underwater films are oddly calming and mesmerizing. This is a really good one.
We agree and we're so glad you enjoyed it!
Me too

LOve this documentary. Am
So fascinated by sharks and whales.
Oh boy!!!! Kind of scary. Stay safe guys
I used to scuba dive. Now I watch ocean documentaries. Safer than going in-person.
We love this!
Why did you stop? I still do it
@@fuexiong88 I'm staying at home caregiving for my mom now and cannot afford to have an accident. I plan on resuming my underwater explorations in the future with new equipment but sadly the corals may be gone by then.
I've never been scuba diving, and never will.
A very well-curated underwater documentary about the Galapagos, thanks for the effort and all! I myself am into filming marine critters too.
Thank you so much!
The poetic narration 👌 the messaging 👌 the quality and tranquility it brings to the view👌
Thank you 🖤
This is where whale sharks, all sharks and big sea creatures should be. Not in some closed up tank.
We couldn't agree more.
a lot of aquariums work to repopulate and increase species numbers, especially for endangered ones! so just support the ones that do make conservation efforts.
Excellent point,! 😅@christy0202
what about on a plate in a Japanese restaurant??
This video offers a captivating glimpse into the mesmerizing world of the Galapagos Islands, a realm where giant sharks reign supreme. The stunning HD footage showcases the awe-inspiring beauty and diversity of marine life found in these pristine waters. From majestic hammerhead sharks to graceful whale sharks, the Galapagos Islands are truly a haven for some of the ocean's most magnificent creatures. The breathtaking underwater scenes, coupled with the insightful narration, provide viewers with a deeper appreciation for the unique ecosystems and conservation efforts in this remote paradise. Thank you for sharing this mesmerizing exploration of the Galapagos Islands' realm of giant sharks.
Thank you so much for these kind words! We're so glad that you enjoyed it 🖤
Instead of kids watching crap like tik tok they should educate themselves with the beauty and mysteries of earths most beautiful creatures
Who are you to decide that? People can watch what they like. We're all going to be dead soon anyways.
Well there are many educational things on TikTok like this just in shorter segments. It’s not all dancing and silliness. It’s just as diverse as this platform.
Totally agree with you.as I watch all my grandchildren watching crap on their tablets.show them the real world and what it has to offer as I'm a great believer in watching nature programmes especially if the ocean.its beautiful.❤x
@@JoshuaTraffanstedt 99 percent of us that are live today will be dead within 100 years. Yall ever think of how or wen you will die 😅🫣😬
Instead of grown men judging kids, they should just shut the f*** up.
❤❤❤ watching the underwater documentary of this island
Isn't it lovely?
Great video I was only going to watch a bit because I tired but just couldn’t stop watching great job thanks for posting this great video 👍
We're so happy to hear that.
Once it's deep ocean abyss documentaries am watching 👀 always a pleasure seeing how life evolves in the seas, also the animals that live there❤
It truly is! We love these ones too 🖤
Thanks for making my Sunday awesome. ❤Love you all.stay safe.

Sushmita: absolutely mesmerizing footage 📹 👌 Kudos to these brave scientists who risk their lives lurking into the unknown 😮
We second this!
Great show and good work. Thanks for all your help in teaching us about the whale sharks.
I loved it
You're welcome. We're so glad you loved it ☺
I hope whoever reads this, will have a blessed and successful life and I wish you health and true happiness
Thank you but im actually dying
What has drawn them there is the remote location, gentle current and abundance of food?
Wow what an amazing and beautiful documentary about rarely documented creatures
We're so happy to hear you liked it!
Yes, I love ocean documentaries too, but I dont like to hurt the animals an track them.
they would barely feel a thing don’t be naïve, are you aware how thick their skin is?
bellissimo posto, bellissimo video. I love whale sharks, stupendi animali
Thank you, we do too!
Very appreciate all works that all of you put hard effort❤️❤️
Love Marine Biology ❤️
Guess we're two peas in a pod 🖤
Wonderful!!
We agree!
Love your documentaries, just have to add an 'ackshually' : it has been determined that the megalodon was slightly larger than the largest modern day whale sharks, so the whale shark is the largest living fish, not the largest in history (the we know of, of course). Yep, I'll show myself out :D
We appreciate this kind of fact checking 👏
A beautiful and majestic fish. Thank you.
You're very welcome.
Merci ❤
Je vous en prie 🖤
This video was amazing to watch. Thanks so much. I was hoping to see one giving birth. Maybe someday 😊
You're very welcome!
Beautiful video!
Thank you!
I also love all the documentaries, but the not to chase these and other whales and other fish to find out where they give birth, locate their mating grounds they just got over near extinction why not give them a chance to just be free of humans for a while, man it sounds like a witch hunt why, to make the area safe that won't work they take long migrations maybe they want to see each other, what is the reason I truly want to know, and all I hear is its too make sure that you are not hurting them but all you do is saying were not harming them but aren't you slightly altering some thing, I don't understand so please tell me, if have time
Danke ;)
When was this filmed and released?
I think 'Jaws' was a little inebriated!!
It definitely painted an inaccurate picture of sharks, which is unfortunate.
beautiful
Our thoughts exactly.
I've had the chance to swim with galapagos sharks 3 times off the coast of North Shore, Oahu. Some of them are MASSIVE...they are gorgeous, puppy-like creatures capable of insane devastation. Just wow...
Wow! What was that like?
AWESOME! However, I'll save the 12.000.00 Dollars for the trip and just watch this. After this video, I'm going back to PATERNITY COURT!
wish there was some way to turn off the background music ...
We appreciate this feedback and we will make sure to check this when working with this documentary creator again.
Atlanta Aquarium has 2 HUGE whale sharks and they are beautiful! I think the biggest of 2 is 23ft feet long both were rescues! but when I look at the range of how far they swim I start to feel bad.
Oh, wow! We can't believe that such large animals are together in an aquarium; it must be a very large one.
"sin nombre" means nameless in spanish , they were saying that the shark didnt had a name.
You can see the divers love their job and it seems they don't want to come out of the ocean...it's amazing down there, but I think it'd be scary at night...esp if there are great white sharks swimming around.
When you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.
Ive always wondered if Orcas hunt Whale Sharks anywhere
I have never heard of it or seen it on a doc.....but why not
@@jrmartinez1711 Neither have I, but you would think they must unless the fact it is a mostly cartiledge, kindy boney looking fish maybe......but Whale Sharks look fairly sluggish so wouldn't pose much of a hope of escaping being hunted, especially by Orca.....I am a huge watcher of natural world docs, and dont recall ever have I seen any footage of an interaction between them or heard it mentioned in previous biogrophies of either fish or mammal interacting or coming into conflict
@@jrmartinez1711 ...and the fact Whale Sharks are at the Ocean surface alot of their lives in order to feed and don't spend alot of time at depth even though they can
@@jrmartinez1711they do hunt the whale sharks man for their liver,I’ve seen on a compilation video where it was showed on u tube, whale shark cant fight back coz they dont hve teeth even though they are massive in size
@@shafiquzzamanahmed2095I've seen them hunt sperm whales and right whales seals sea lions and walrus but rarely other sharks or dolphins and never seen a whale shark defending it's self ... Number one predator probably man.
07:12 how? Because they exist in the open ocean and we don’t? What an obtuse statement.
Didn’t know grown up Stewie griffin started narrating documentaries
не уверена, что правильно их так метить только из-за того что люди хотят узнать как они плавают. Тем более, что этот девайс болтается и может зацепившись за что-то, их поранить.
"The whale shark..the largest fish to have ever lived"?
It's a pity that there are no subtitles in Polish.😢
i love ntut documentries. i wish i was a fish!!!
I didn't see any aggressive behaviour between the two whale shark females.
❤❤❤❤❤
Fried watching this
I hope Kimberly is OK 🙏
I thought Leedsichthys was the largest fish to ever live.
Nope, it may have been the heaviest possibly, but not the longest....as it can't ever be indepentantly and acurately studied and verified either being extinct and all
It depends on how long they lived..i read Leesichthys could have been 16.5 meters around 38 yrs of age
@@jrmartinez1711 Even if I give you the benefit of my doubt that's something that can no longer be confirmed by examinating it and having it verified anymore, that can only be based on educated guess without a fossil of one that size to be evidence. Whale Sharks can be confirmed and examined to be the largest we can confirm. So Leesichthys for instance may have stopped growing longer at age 20 for example and without having one to observe to know possible variables like this it can never be confirmed longer then the currently living Whale Shark according to scientific principles used in the field
Sin nombre…?

I agree! I do not know how people do not believe in God especially when looking at the world and animals. There is just no way all this is just here for no reasonI can’t imagine how an atheists looks at their own human baby, and doesn’t believe in God. It blows my mind! I almost don’t believe it is possible they don’t think of God when seeing something naturally beautiful. I can just look at my dogs, and think of God making them.
If there is away mankind can make money from anything God created on this earth, then greed will always overcome the outcome of nature and the beauty God created. It's sad it really is that so many animals are being killed

it is almost clear that afrer attaching the traking device to her body she was bleeding a lot. is it okay for a pregnant shark to loose that much blood in her pregnancy?
and why there is no description about the traking device penetration and aftermath of any sharks body. for the viewers they did not show the other side of the shark after penetrating the device.
I only see giant whales when they say giant sharks 🧐
Updated comment ( aaah whale shark got it )
😅
If they were ‘Shark whales’ you’d have a point. 🤷♀️
Leave the sharks alone
Try looking into humidity
What does that mean
H'wale shark
Yet these same cry about rights and privacy, but yet they attach tracking to the animal 😮. Not all human look like you.

I love learning about whales, sharks and marine life however why do humans and let's face it mostly men think its okay to stab these amazing animals with trackers? Clearly, they dont like it? Especially a pregnant animal. That's just abusive to me. These scientists need to find more respectful ways of studying these endangered species.
We understand entirely. Unfortunately, that's one of the best ways to learn about the migration patterns of wildlife at this point in time. We hope that changes one day soon though.
I disagree with his dating.
How so?
It should be illegal to eat sharks
The hunting of them has led to so much destruction.
They should’ve left the pregnant female alone she was about to have babies 🥺
Ofc the usual suspects fish these guys

@@D3M0z This is true!
Poor info. Whale sharks not biggest fish to have ever lived. Who wrote this drivel?😂
my brother in christ they are. you might be getting confused with blue whales. bluewhales aren’t fish. they’re mammals. blue whales are the biggest *animal* but not the biggest *fish*. cause they’re not fish.
I hate the metric system! Why can’t you just give feet also? And you don’t know if whale shark is largest fish to ever live!
Hahahaha ....wow. you do realize that literally the US is the only country who doesn't use the metric system...and that it is a far more accurate system...yes?
And yeah.... the whale shark IS the largest known fish to have lived.... proven by something called THE FOSSIL RECORD!!!
Do you also believe Earth is flat, and Jesus was a right-leaning white man??
Hahahaha...wow. you do realize that every country uses the metric system, besides the US? And that it's a far more accurate system?
And yeah, the whale shark IS known as the largest fish ever.... because its proven by something called the FOSSIL RECORD?!
Do you also believe that Earth is flat...and Jesus was a right-leaning. White man??
He didn’t say that the whale shark was the largest shark to ever live. He said that it’s the largest creature on this planet that are alive today.
Isn’t it the Blue Whale the biggest animal alive today?
