How do you get access to the film?
I REALLY wanted Surtain, and was content with getting Parsons in the draft. However, I did NOT expect Parsons to be this good. He's a game changer.
I wanted surtain or pitts or horn but once I watched film that changed
@@antsolos0905 “Once you watched film” what film was that? You should’ve known he was the best defensive player in the draft without doing that extra shiz 💀
@nah👺 or just tryna make it sound like he was fine with getting him, and he didn’t bash Dallas for getting him💀
Everyone should’ve known Parsons was the best defensive player in the draft. Frankly, I personally wanted him over Surtain. I remember a wholeeee lota fans bashing Dallas for that pick because “wE hAvE jAlYoN”
Right hes a legit HOF edge rusher... would have heen nice to have a lockdown corner but now Dallas has three probowl edge rushers to go with Gallimore who Dallas had pegged to be the teams best defensive lineman before his injury... regardless of who's in the secondary if Parsons blitzes they wont have to cover for long
@@massivematt3113 I always wanted parsons over all them just didn’t think it would happen when it did I was like we got a Gem kind i got the same feeling when I watched Heat draft Dwade …..the guys just a difference maker !!!
I remember watching him and playing him in highschool. He was bigger, faster and just so much better than everyone in our city. We all knew he was gonma make it and im glad he shout out HBG when he got drafted

Crazy is how the runner's momentum is almost always completely stopped when Parsons gets his hands on them.
MP is the surest tackler in the NFL. Already!
@@jamessweet5341 Bobby Wagner?!?!
@@flugamerob Micah is the highest graded linebacker and pass rusher, meaning hes higher graded than Wagner
@@jamessweet5341 technically it's Jayron Kearse, but still it's another cowboy 😂
@@PastLifeVillian Yes but he's talkign about being the surest tackler which you could still give to Bobby Wagner but its close.
He's this good and he hasn't even got into his NFL body yet.
He has so much more potential
that’s the scary part
He’s like Myles Garrett but more elusive
@@user-yi1dh6dh8p Myles garret? Nah he’s more like LT but not as aggressive
@@davidgeorge8214 says you so it must be true right 😆 this young n man is def trying to make a name for himself
Finally a analysis that looks at game FILM OVER STATS 🙏🏻keep grinding bro

@@ThinkingFootball I just did
His speed is what jumps off the screen at you. It's crazy.
He has been a monster for us i am so glad we picked him up he has been a blessing bro.
Really good analysis. He makes it easy but u still did a good job breaking him down. Ever since I watched that special on him, Fields, and Pitts before the draft I've really liked Micah confidence, mindset, and work ethic (even tho that's easy to fake with a camera in front of u but it shows on his film.) Hope he has an amazing career, unless he ever plays the Colts lol then I need him to forget how to be a great linebacker and pass rusher
respect to the Colts and your own beast at LB, Darius Leonard.
@@m3gusta17 lol thanks
I cant wait for this kid to grow into his man body, hes a young LT that can play DB
When I seen him make that play in coverage V the saints that ended up in a Int he looked like a DB tbh. You would never think that’s a guy with 10+ sacks making plays in coverage down the field like that.
The steal of the draft 🍺
How was he a steal lol. Bro was a first rounder. Top 12 at that…
@@kenpaacchi should’ve been a top 3 though
Cowboys traded back i believe and still got him that’s stealing in my book
If the best player in a draft is taken 2nd, the 2nd team to pick got a steal. I'm not saying Parsons is the BEST player in the draft, he might be but its a bit too early to know, but he's definitely better than most of the 11 picked before him.
Nate Hobbs
Our starters are back on the D-Line. Gallimore looks like a beast, adding on more bulk to steamroll centers in the league. The center in the Washington game was knocked back several feet into the QB Sunday.
As a Cowboys fan this video gives me goosebumps even though I've seen him play the whole season.
His stock went up even more after this Sunday, two sacks and a force fumble 👌🏿
Man this kid lifted a OT off the ground. Great film analysis
The funny plays are when LVE is standing there trying to diagnose the play and Parsons literally shoves Vander Esch out of the way to get to the opposite side of the field to make the tackle. LVE has to go after this year and we nerd another big and fast linebacker. If they can get the middle of the D stronger then Parsons can line up outside of Lawrence with Gregory and the other d-end. And I love when they put him over the center standing up. He puts so much pressure on the offense already. Hopefully Lawrence, Gregory, and Gallimore can stay healthy.
Hard to believe LVE was a 2nd team All Pro. Thought him and Jaylon would have 10 year career like Sean Lee.
He’s the fastest player in the league in a 5-10 yard dash which is the distance most football is played at.
we finally got our “war daddy”
Get ready for the 3 headed monster: Parsons, Gregory, and Lawrence.
Four Headed...you forgot Gallimore... that boy is a beast...its crazy how the whole defensive line was hurt this season yet Cowboys are 9-4 and already won the division
@@ChrisSmith-tu9bu See.. I knew when they all came back, it was going to be difficult for any offense. Now Dak has to put some time in, and get his rhythm back. He looks off.
Wow. All them healthy could be stellar.
@@operasinger2126 I mean it already was against Washington...I hope all of them are able to stay healthy and play throughout the playoffs
Yes, they stay healthy. This defense does enough to keep the Cowboys in or win the game.
Wanted Surtain so bad… but I was happy with Parsons. Also didn’t expect Diggs to be as good as he his… IM PUMPED NOW BECAUSE MICAH IS THE GOAT BABY
Like my LB coach told us the LB position is the most athletic position on the flied. Its honestly the truth and Parsons proves it. LB in football are the perfect players. Thats why back in the day people wanted to be a MLB. football is about tackling and being physical and LBs can do it all. Defend the run, rush the passer, blow up blocks, get around blocks, cover WR in zone, carry TE/WR up the seam, and if you run cover two defend the middle. PFF makes me sick with their BS narratives about football positions. Saying the LB and RB positions can be replaced by anyone. Even tho LBs and RBs are usually the best athletes in football.
T.J Watt just might have something to say LMAO
Ong man is a juggernaut 17 sacks 😂💯
“A body type stuck halfway between a strong safety and a defensive end”
Yeah they have a word for that. It’s called a linebacker. lol
That man out there snatching more souls than Dr. Foolchi!
I wanted Surtain in the draft but I’m so happy we got Micha… he is just literally built different
Thanks this was enjoyable 2 watch👍🏾
I am so glad we picked him instead of Surtain. Our Corners are solid enough. That's what we needed was an elite pass rusher who can do everything.
Man o man I'm so glad we drafted him he has the potential to be the best and most paid lb in the next ten years I know I know we seen players like this before but this seems very diff he is only going to get better in the years to come and he will attract the best defensive players upcoming via free agency or draft his speed is crazy for a lb imagine when he really learns coverages in more detail
Micha is young, fast, intellegent hes gonna be a beast, but right now when t.j watt can play he is a game changer and revitalize the defense, and he have 17 sacks , also hes relentless even whit doble defenders ,.. and hes not playing 100 percent whit a groin injury
Any real cowboys fan knows this franchise has had some great LB's. Unlike others I wasn't disappointed when Surtain was gone.Parsons is what I been wanting for some time.Man,he's a monster.
Great tape analysis
His sprinting form is incredible. People who don't know always laugh when I point out those who weren't taught to sprint correctly. They think it's innate.
I enjoy Thierry dont get me wrong but it's nice to have you back Tyler, something about your narration is just sublime my dude. Also any chance you guys would do a video for basics for defense play calling or offensive play calling during the off season?
What would you like to see covered?
there's not many people I'm jealous of other teams for having, but Micah Parsons is definitely one of them
Superb analysis!
Micah sees all, Micah knows all.
I like that you talked about his strength as well as his weakness. The rb at the beginning of the video trucked him, BUT he had a heavier teammate assist with the tackle.
Parsons looks like he is great at everything
No doubt about it! Parsons is the MAN!
Crazy part is he looks faster and quicker as a linebacker than he do as a runner running the ball.
Soul searching! Damn!
I love Micah fr
Great analysis. Reminds me of Brett Kollman, which is about the best compliment for this type of content i can think of.
It's good to be a Cowboy fan these days. Nice video man, like the background music as well. What's the name of the song?
Great video.
Not only is he insanely fast, but he knows how to use it and is very efficient
Low key deserves mvp he changed Dallas defense
Generational talent
Micah Parsons sacked Taylor Heinicke twice and forced a fumble that was returned for a touchdown, helping the Dallas Cowboys make good on coach Mike McCarthy’s guarantee by holding on to beat Washington 27-20 Sunday and snap their rival's winning streak at four.
Dallas led 24-0 and 27-8 before Kyle Allen replaced Heinicke and led a 73-yard TD drive and Cole Holcomb intercepted Dak Prescott and ran it back for a pick-6.
Washington's comeback bid came to an end when Allen fumbled with 2:24 remaining.
The Cowboys staked themselves to such a big lead thanks to a big first-half showing by their defense. Dallas forced four turnovers and had five sack.
SUPER BOWL 🤔
WFT record 6-7 🤔
Back to playing under 500 ball 🤔
No more four game winning streak 🤔
Now tired for second place with Philadelphia Eagles🤔
Revenge game you hurt our quarterback last year we hurt your quarterback this year 🤔
Terry McLaurin no catches & a concussion 🤔
Antonio Gibson 10 carries for 36 yards 1 fumble 🤔
Dallas' defense steals the spotlight in the team's big divisional matchup with Washington. Behind cornerback Trevon Diggs and linebacker Micah Parsons -- both Defensive Player of the Year candidates -- the Cowboys record four takeaways on the way to a road victory.🤔
cowboys suck .. your QB is shit, your running back ain't close to 1000 yrds in the last yr or 2, no star wideout..
@@dustinhawkins5777 he literally almost hit 1,000 yards last year and we injured a lot. And this year he splits carriers. Dak is a pro bowler. You’re just a delusional hater🤦🏽♂️
@@sunrain4532 yeah my point exactly .. that's all he'll ever be .. jus a pro bowler .. not a SB champ.. thanks for clearing that up 😂😂
@@dustinhawkins5777 you just my QB is shit but then called him a pro bowler…. No one prove your point. You’re just changing your point. And how you know he’ll never be a super bowl champ? Are you a fortune teller?🤦🏽♂️
@@sunrain4532 I'll put it like this .. your QB will never be Elite
He reminds me of Leon Lett off the snap. Left used to seem like he had a psychic connection with the football and knew exactly when it was gonna be snapped. I've always felt bad that Lett, one of the best at his position in his era, is most remembered for the blocked kick snafu in the snow against the Dolphins and his hot dogging fumble at the end zone in the super bowl.
2:24 got me dead
Micah, stay healthy and stong...humble
Awesome
The Terminator
ELITE!
Glad league are recognizing what I had said before dallas drafted him. When I saw him mocked by one line NFL analyst to us, I looked his tape up and was blown away. If he was able to get any refinement in his play he would be on pace to be HOF potential. I had pondered on the idea of Dallas getting him when I saw him mocked there. I was concluded that if he was ANYTHING what he was in college he’d be the urlacher/Wagner of this team and moreover a fast one (I could only compare him to deon Jones) and coincidentally I had realized Quinn was the DC who put him on the map. Glad that Micah is being everything Jones is plus more
Micah for President
He's a stud
The front Seven is where everyteam should focus in the draft first
Hard Knocks let us see his Alpha Dawg status.... All Pro right outta the gate...
Let$ FN Go Cowboys!!! We bout to beat the shit outta the Deadskins!!!!
parsons is the best defender i have ever seen.
It's his speed and quickness!!!! He has so much of both he can chill for a second to see what's happening and then just explodes to the play along with his footwork and strength!!! I suppose he has it all but it's really the speed and quickness!!! Lve is still standing there looking at things but just watches...it's kinda funny to watch!!! Basically your fucked unless the ball is 20+ yards away from him and he gets caught in traffic otherwise he is pretty much the 1st guy to react to a play even reacts faster than the guy the ball is going to it's simply amazing!!!! Nobody can do that stuff but him!!!! It's like everyone else is in slow motion even the guy that knows the play and getting the ball!!! Like he said the NFL is easy and it is for him!!!!! If he stays healthy he will be the greatest football player to ever live!!!! And I'm almost 60 years old!!!! I have seen them all!!!!
The title “Rookie” has really got people overseeing just how good this kid is…and NFL teams are paying for it.😂
Watching Micah highlights makes me want to sleep with the light on.
I thought the Penn State speed numbers at their pro day was due to a fast track. Oweh had crazy numbers too, while his college production didn't seem to match. I thought, then, that Parsons was a reach, & wanted the team to trade back again, once the corners were gone. Not only is this player elite physically, but he has an elite work ethic & drive. I pray he stays healthy, so the Boys' D can become elite too.
I would love to see a video on JOK!
Who?
Gamebreaker
subbed
He was really the best defensive player in the draft but his stock fell a Lil bit because he sat out for a year and team were skeptical. I'm a cowboy fan and I wanted surtain. So glad it didn't workout that way.
Parsons is the Jackson storm of the NFL
Please do JOKs film study
me and him are from the same city and i’m going to the same high school he went to next year 🙂
I know it's not a common understanding in today's athletics, but his 'weakness' being 'flat-footed' is actually his strength. The truly elite athletes are far more flat-footed than movement coaches like to teach. Look at Conor McGregor (in his prime), he walked around the octagon; look at Mike Tyson, he was so flat-footed his punches were like swinging a baseball bat; look at Andre Agassi return serve; even look at TB12, a slight bounce, but he's pretty flat-footed in the pocket. Look at Rogers, pretty flat-footed. Look at Baker and Stafford, they can be like nervous twits bouncing up and down. Very talented throwers of the ball, but when it counts, can make poor decisions and poor throws. Jumpy feet, jumpy mind. Stable feet, stable mind.
What being flat-footed gives you is perfect timing. It stabilizes your body and mind, centers/unifies them. Musashi Miyamoto, the famous undefeated masterless samurai, wrote about it in his Book of Five Rings. "Heavy on the heels." One mistake, and you're dead. So timing was everything.
You said Parsons' athleticism in college allowed him to overcompensate for his bad habit of being flat-footed. I'm going to take the opposite stance on your conclusion, and use a former Cowboys linebacker to make it. If you look at Jaylon Smith, it was his athleticism that allowed him to overcompensate for his jumpy feet in college. He would bounce around, go the wrong way, but recover and dominate. He was like a man playing children in a sport. It simply wasn't even levels of athleticism.
While being flat-footed gives you a split-second disadvantage, you rarely go the wrong way. You go straight to where the play is. As the Special Forces say, "Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast." Fast-forward to pros, Smith still has his jumpy feet - he goes the wrong way, play is over. He had some decent seasons, but if he studied Parsons and became flat-footed, he'd have all the athleticism needed to compete. Look at his film. He takes a taxi every time he gets. Whether he lost a step after surgery or he's now competing at a higher level of athleticism in the pros (or the combo of the two), he can no longer recover from his jumpy feet, where he goes the wrong way, then makes up for it, the way he did at Notre Dame.
It's easy to find exceptions to what I've said during certain plays. But the above is true 80%+ of the time.
Great video, Thanks.
Great thought process!
@@robt510 appreciate it.
“… body type stuck between Strong Safety and Defensive end…” dude, you just described literally all NFL Linebackers.
As an Eagles fan Parsons is a fucking beast lol.
For being a rookie, his sense and angles are so elite,it doesn’t make sense LOL.really what separates him from a lot of other guys.
Thank god he’s a Cowboy 🤠
The beast from the east linebacker u penn state
This dude is legit.
Imagine cowboys go all the way this year
I know a good bit of his success is a result of god given talent, but all you young LB studs out there come on up to Happy Valley. We put guys like this out consistently.
Micah bringing that Wood!!!
Go Cowboys 🤠
He's a BEAST! We are lucky the two cornerbacks were taken. I do wish we didn't trade back with the Eagles. though.
Maybe defensive rookie of the year, but Trevon Diggs has 11 INTs on the year with 2 games left to play, last time someone broke 11 was in 1981, thats over 40 YEARS! This coming from a die hard Eagles fan mind you...
he kinda reminds me of a faster and more powerful derrick thomas
I had hoped for Surtain, but Parsons might be even better.
Might? It’s not a debate. Surtain is really good and already a top 10 corner, yes. But Parsons is already a top 5 defensive player in football and imo should be defensive player of the year
Yeah I'm sorry it's not even close. Sustain is a very good corner. But he isn't even the best as his position. Parsons is the best defensive player in the league.
🦁
Much of the Cowboys fandom and sports journalists were furious they didn't take Slater, who's going to be a great LT for the next decade. "An off-ball LB isn't worth a top-10 (we traded back to 12 to get him) pick. They're not complaining anymore.
IVE BEEN TALLING PEOLLE FOR YEARS THAT MICAH PARSONS WAS THE NEXT Lawewnce Taylor
Is call him The Snowman.
I wanted Dallas to draft Parsons and not trade up for Surtain,
Gotta credit Dan Quinn for utilizing Parson to his full potential.
Ppl really thought that 4.4 forty time was a pro day fluke until this season started
He DPOY!!!
Rookie of the year, Defense player of the Year hands down, Cap it off with a Super Bowl win is things of legendary!! DCB4LIFE!!
Thi sis the best thing I have ever seen. As a cowboys fan lately I expect him to have a career ending injury soon though
How do you break down someone who makes it look so easy against all pros
Man …. I’d love if the cowboys were able to Grab mike rose out of Iowa State. .I feel like both of their play styles would compliment one another .
