The "bite" feel you're feeling is what the gp bikes all have. As such a seasoned rider, I thought you'd know this Ib, they are so hard on the brakes in every corner, the harsh bite is what they prefer. It takes tremendous weight off the back wheel and even lifts it off the ground to initiate the over steer to then power out of the corners. At least for now, the pros find this to be the fastest way around the track. These brakes are for riders much more skilled than most of us.
Also, there was one guy at our local track who always brought his ninja 300 and his R6, he regularly stayed up the arse of most super sport bikes that were also on track. The straights he would fall off the pace but in the corners he would overtake on the 300. On his R6, nobody could touch him. S1000rr boys, R1 boys, ducati panigales, he could just simply outride everyone. In my opinion, the fastest fella is always the most technically skilled rider out there, never the guy with the most horsepower. You've shocked me that you have such a focus on brute power.

I got in a accident on Labor Day 2 months ago and I'm saving up to fix my bike. I got cut off on a very busy and crazy highway. I was knocked out on impact and didn't remember anything. Broke a rib and bone in my hand and hurts both wrists and had a bad concussion

I don't think you NEED power... to be consistently fast on the track. Still think you should add a dedicated 600 track bike to your stable if you're serious about track riding longterm wise. 80+% of tracks in the US do not require liter bikes, if anything you're running slower than what you would be on a 600.

Haha he said it himself. Doing a smack down on track and overtaking faster riders with a bike that lessens the riders skills in comparison.

I think the HP4 race has no comparison , the reason why you like the V4 more is because you have been riding it more so obviously your gonna be more comfortable on. The HP4 is not yours so I can understand you not pushing as you would if it was your own. Good comparison but I think you went into it a little bias 😉 since the speciale you do own. 🤙🏾🤙🏾🔥

Totally agree. I also don't think you should ride advanced the way you're riding. I think you need some more training but you're definitely lucky to be able to ride all those bikes back to back.
Plus the HP4 race is a real track bike compare to the v4, so the HP4 feels more stiffed just like any other track bike, while the v4 is half road and track, the HP4 it just not legal on street, cause the bmw factory just made it for track only, without headlamp and mirrors.

Never seen so many track day bikes that are so clean and loaded with Tech. Only issue is that you are so focused on loading the bikes with gadgets that you will never use. R1 does not have enough power, LOL. Come on you cannot be serious. Looking at the riding then i do not believe that you would take an R6 to its full potential. Love how you guys are happy to let your friends ride your pride and joy on a track. My mates would be crashing it trying to find the limit. Lol 😂😂😂🤣🤣
By the way, you seem like a really nice guy and i like the video. Just amazed by the amount of bikes fully loaded and look like that have just rolled out of a show room. You dont get that much in the UK as we have crap weather and TBH crash them to often trying to find the limit. Keep the videos coming as nice to meet other bikers.

Cool video....Ib have you gotten a delivery date on your V4R? What are your thoughts on the torque drop from 91 to 83. I have a V4S and contemplating trading in for V4R. On the fence because I’m not sure if 20k more is worth it? Thanks
ib, at track days are you able to tape on two car wash sponges with a sound recorder in the middle of them to the pillion seat of the bikes? This would eliminate the wind noise and give us all the engine sound!
I use that method with my lap timer aka my smartphone. Takes some vibrations away..

650ib another epic video, but I have to say that I dont agree with you 100% on the power of the r1, yes the r1 dont make the power of the others, but dont forget what your friend Mike did to you in the straight we brake much latter, and pass you very easy, and that is what happen and you dont have more than 200 whp, more top speed sometimes makes you to brake early.

Ah the dreaded low angle caused by the wind when you think your camera is tight but it's a smidge loose. You're R1M looks and sounds incredible, but the HP4 Race is that I'm working to add to my collection.

Hey 650ib, was just curious what the absolute limit for these bikes is? Usually you guys do a tune and an exhaust, but it seems you guys never really build the motor completely. If you decided to take the HP4 race, keep it at 1000cc but otherwise make it a full race motor with the sole goal being the most horsepower possible, whats the limit? The limit to where, even if you were willing to spend another million bucks, it wouldn't net anymore power. What's the absolute limit capacity of a high revving 1000cc inline 4 NA?

@@EnkeiTenjin you do realize that cutting down your braking time, will cut down your lap times right? So in essence, he slows down too much, too early, and carries bad corner speed and spends the rest of the corner accelerating to make up for it
it's because u r used to ride the v4 speciale in many occasions , that's why u found it more like into u, but once u get used to ride the hp4 race I'm sure u will like it more.

the problem is that the hp4 race is not street legal, please manage a way to make the smack downs happen between them, cuz as u said it will b epic. can't wait to c the video.
Why no track fairings on a track bike? A spill is gonna be pricey with those carbon fairings
That's my concern also. The same applies to people using brand new GS BMWs off road when they'd be better off on a used Kawasaki KLX250 that can be dropped, picked up and ridden away without any major damage to repair or replace. Taking your bling toy to the track is a big ego trio anyway. If they're serious they'd have a track bike with lower running costs that can be patched up for a fraction of the cost of the exotica here on this video.
B Haddock or maybe they can afford to run those bikes and fix them so they prefer to use those. Different stokes for different folks ladies.

Sorry ib but you got to use all the track, you barely got near the kerbs apart form 1 or 2 corners, also you're braking early and lacking corner speed, thats where you are losing time buddy - maybe spent too much time doing highway smackdowns ! need to get back on track more you were riding harder on previous videos !

He only said that the r1 has less Power as the BMW and the v4 and this is a Fact,but that dont means the the R1 is slow on Track.I riding the R1 M on Track unfortunately not mine.But i Like the R1 sooo much, in corners i will be faster in Corners as every BMW for shure,not faster as the HP Race but Stock Bikes al day long.I was thinking to buy one🤔😎 eaven i was a Ducati Fan 😁 i have a 1299 S wich i Love and have make a lot of KM.Only the Brakes of the Stock R1 M are not god as a M50 Caliper of Brembo or Stylema of Brembo,eaven BMW in Stock has a Brembo but this Calipers are the Cheap Version of Brembo.And after a Couple of Turns you can feel the Diffrence of Brake Performance.And in this Competition has Ducati the Best Braking Performace.But the R1 with better Brake is for me the best Track Weapon on Market😎

@@johnnyblaze1372 Ducati has excellent brakes but the 1299 is a wild bike to ride fast ! the new V4 is much better bike and even faster !! I have an R1M I ride on track its great but its a tricky bike to setup, but it is very fast when you wind it up !

Brakes was made to stop the motorcycle or reduce the speed., So that being said a good rider should adjust to the motorcycle demands !!!!!
