Might be easier to use plastic wedges that won’t matter so much to the chain if you nick it.

i do like it as a simple tutorial, still cutting the middle AND the Right of the Hinge wood in a Tutorial and dont tell people that that could be the most dangerous thing they could do is in my opinion not the best.
Yeah, agreed, basic tutorials should be perfect... However both sides had good holding wood and were pretty even. Cheers
