I just picked up a Fate. Put 4x4x5 on it because I was looking for exactly what you wanted out of that Zen. Very smooth and predictable. Reads the midland well and doesn't jump hard off the spot
Chris, you should throw the symmetricals on a determinator after drilling (assuming you’re going at least 2.5” or deeper on the holes so you’re drilling deep enough to hit where the x axis meets Y near center of the core). your mind is going to be blown when you find out the Xponent is at least 5.5” MB to pap after drill, possibly more, and the ZGL is going to be somewhere in the 6.5-7” range and probably in your initial track. Presuming your pap coordinates are over and down based on pins being way out to the right on the 3 7/8” pin ZGL
Hey Mikey and Chris, Brad did a video where he explained every shot he was throwing. It was a “Bowl a game like a pro”. It was very insightful to know how he was making in-game adjustments and what he was looking for during actual games. Are you guys able to do something similar? I think it would be cool to see especially for someone like you guys who might have a higher rev rate.
thanks for this video. My go to layout is 4x4x4 -2LS. I find when i get the center of grip number lower than about 3 i track way over my fingers. do you have any recommendations for guys that track very high/close to fingers? I have heard pitches might help
I watched this video several times now. I gotta ask this question since I see all the videos telling you how to layout 2LS but none say what happens if you change the numbers. What's the Min/Max numbers that can be used for each? What happens when you change them up or down? Are there any restrictions on if one number is something another one cannot be something?
Thanks Chris, these 2 handed specific education and training videos you have started to do are great. I am not sure how to enter the giveaway if the cut off was 23rd November and the video posted 6th December!!! hahahahaha
Chris love the video. I would love the Journey for Christmas. I just switched to 2 handed bowling and what better way to start my journey. Thanks again for all your content. Tell Mike I said hello.
I'm planning on drilling a VEBO with the purpose of it being pretty clean with a good amount of pop downlane, what layout would you recommend? I was thinking something like 5 x 3.5 x 4
Chris, what’s your preferred layout on an IQT? I layout my asyms similar to yours (mine are mostly around 5x5x2.5), but I want my IQT to see the lane sooner and have a more front to back shape. Currently I’m using a 4x5.5x2 and it’s honestly pretty good! Just curious if there’s a recommendation from you. 420 revs, 16.5mph, high track. Prefer to play something like IQT on fresh and then transition to ion after to open up the lanes. Any advice on IQ layout?
Not exactly a fair question because pitches are based on one’s hand anatomy and flexibility. Generally speaking, two handers will have more reverse than a thumb in bowler as this promotes rolling it more and squeezing less, and helps the ball sit more on the palm without putting our hand in a pre-set position to squeeze it off at the bottom. Grip pressure isn’t our friend… we/two handers don’t really need to squeeze much at all, two handers create rev rate with efficiency of body movement and transfer of leverage from legs/timing on 3-4, (part of the reason why two handers push AFTER the 2nd step, helps create ball speed and leverage), then transferred through the shoulder at the top of the 4th step into 5, then the elbow fires/unbends and then the wrist but mostly elbow transfers that leverage. watch belmo’s swing for the best example on planet earth of how this leverage sequence works.
Awesome video again, I’ve been having trouble finding a layout because I’m more rev dominant. I have the 5x4x3 1/2 -2LS on a few of my balls. But they’re just bit too strong for what I typically bowl on. Definitely want to try the 5x5x3 1/2
That second number only means something on asyms, doesn’t mean a think on symmetrical, as the mass bias on a symmetrical core for two handers after drilling will always be 6.5” from the pin on a straight line through the grip holes. IE for illustration say your pin is 3.5” dead over the bridge, that mass bias will be 3” under your bridge on a straight line, similarly to how a traditional bowler’s mass bias on symmetricals is always in/near the thumb hole. You want to lengthen the first number to reduce flare in the front part of the lane or possibly lower the 3rd number to reduce Diff. Be aware that by lowering the 3rd number, you’re making the core higher RG and lower Diff, you’re going to see a longer but slower reaction and slower transition off the backend until the lanes hook. If the issue is not enough length, lengthen the first number. If it’s friction response, lower the 3rd number and maybe a little surface to get it to blend better
Thanks for the video, Chris! I am a 1-handed lefty, but I have fooled around with 2- handed righty. I have 5 old pieces to work with to try and get the mechanics worked out before I advance to getting something like an Xponent.
I wish someone would explain what the numbers mean. 5x5x2 uhhhh ok, I’m just a league bowler, I have no clue what that means. Explain i5 to me like I’m a toddler.
Great video! i was wondering if chris uncups his hand/wrist or keeps it cupped and lets the weight of the ball fall through his fingers at the release point? Always wondered what differences there are between one and two handed releases.
Used the vbo layout and I love it. Threw the best series I’ve thrown in awhile.

Tried that 3 7/8 layout on a TNT Infused. Took it to league today and good lord am I loving the way it rolls.
Im buying a TNT Infused and curious about how to drill it for a rev dominant player. Im also 2 handed

What does ZGL stand for. Think I’m missing a vocabulary word here

Chris what is your go to layout for your benchmark ball i.e. phaze 2?
Great video. I was wondering how you like the summit and what your favorite layout on it is.
Tbh if I trusted myself more I would try 2 handed bowling, but Chris gives so much detail and I love it

thanks. how do you like the magic gem or TNT infused
What layout do you use for the IQ tour (you compared this one with xponent layout
Suggestions for 2ls layout phaze 2?
How would you convert for a lefty?
Thank y’all for the tips just switched to 2h fully and needed some layout help 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽. Chris and Mikey what are y’all pitches when drilling 2 handed?

Are all of those pin up?

Try going longer on your pin to pap. 5 1/2 or 3/4
Try a short pin! 2x6x5

Shot 265 new pb last week on my ufo alert 5x5x3 layout.
Im a big fan of chris via he's a amazing bowler
Liked and commented for the algorithm!
Really curious why always blue and red inserts 😂
Just a guess but blue is left and red is right. When picking up before a shot.
More 2 handed videos‼️
nov 23rd?
Old video sorry!😅
Mmmmmmm that giveaway may be a few weeks in the past lol.
Late release on this vid😅😂
