- Hi guys, thank you for supporting my video lessons for 2 handed bowling over the past period. I’ve received quite many comments and messages asking about the concept of releasing the ball. I also try to ask myself how I can explain this concept to a newbie bowler, to help them quickly understand and execute the release. If you want to have a powerful yet effortless and consistent 2 handed release, this video is for you.

This series remains one of the most underrated for two handed biomechanics. Great stuff as always
Thank you for supporting bro. It's so satisfying to explore about this sport under the view of science and biomechanics :D
I have been focusing on hand position and angles of wrist under th ball etc etc . I am going to use this today in training and see how it helps. simplicity is the key word I believe
Hi Greg, I hope you have gained some improvements with my tips :D
Thank you so much for this explanation! I've been trying to fix my release for the better part of a month, not knowing why my hand and fingers hurt. After your video I bowled 4 games and I'm now way more consistent with how I can hook the ball by just relaxing my arm on the release instead of trying to force a hook, and I can feel when my release is wrong much easier now that I know how it's supposed to feel. I can't thank you enough!
So glad to hear that the video helps relieve your pain. Bowling is not meant to be hurting yourself, I believe so :D Enjoy the game bro!
Thank you for uploading this video & giving me a better understanding of what I need to do. I appreciate it a lot. 👍
Enjoy and happy bowling Nebraskalens bro! :D
Absolutely the best instruction for 2 handed bowlers in my opinion. Thanks for all you do.
Mah pleasure Peter. Grateful for your support and engagement 🫂
This knowledge will also greatly help 1 handers too (myself included). The explanation of biomechanics was absolutely fascinating, and makes so much sense.
I'm so happy to hear that you can absorb my sharing!!!! Thank you for your support. I'll keep sharing more of these knowledge to the community. :D
Your videos are the best. I just switched to 2 hand 2 weeks ago and I was able to throw the ball way better today during league. Ball roll and release were so much better because of the elbow in tip. Thank you. I love the explanations of the movements. It just makes so much more sense now.
:D I'm so glad that you have improved your techniques. Keep dominating the night league bro! 😎
Love your vids bro. I follow your tips and my score is quite good. I do have problems on getting consistent accuracy so now i know what my problem is. Thank you!
🤗 My pleasure to help bro. I wish you have great scores and enjoy the game!
Great information, thank you very much!
Hi, thank you for continuing to post these helpful videos. I just realized as a new 2 hander that I was holding the ball too long on the 2nd step ( of five ) and that was restricting and shortening my swing and balance. So, letting the ball drop as the 2nd step is completed instead of holding/carrying the ball will get the ball into motion earlier and allow for a smoother stroke and balance at the end. 😄
Perfect bro, I do the same thing. Just leave it drop. We hold the ball with 2 hands so the weight of the ball is not a problem, just let it drop and swing. 😀
Just another great tutorial video ❤ thank you. I’ll give it a try 💪
Enjoy brother! 💪🎳😀
This is the video I was waiting for - thank you!!!!!!
So lucky to have you visit my channel 🙏
You've helped me a lot. Thanks very much!
My pleasure brother 🫂
Another excellent video. Thank you!!
Enjoy bro, my pleasure 🙂
Legit the best video ever.
Thank you for your support bro 🤗 Hope It can help you!

Great video. Does tucking the elbow apply to 1 handed thumb in bowlers?
Yes definitely yes. Tucking elbow issues originally from 1 handed style bro 😀
I love your videos, can this work with one handed bowling?
Yes bro, absolutely, this technique derives from 1 hander :D
Hi Bowlism Outlaw, I just realized that your right foot ( after the crossover 2nd step ) does NOT cross in front of the left foot ( like One Handers ) but trails behind the left sliding foot. As a beginning 2 hander, I felt awkward trying to make the right foot on the 4th step step in front of the left foot. So, I need to practice this change ASAP. It seems that having the right foot trailing behind the left will keep the HIPS open to the right and allow easy ball downswing. This might be the adjustment I have been looking for ! THANKS !!!
Hi Paul bro. Let me explain a bit here.
"...right foot ( after the crossover 2nd step ) does NOT cross in front of the left foot ( like One Handers ) but trails behind the left sliding foot" => I do that with intention to moderate the ball launch angle. I explained it here: ua-cam.com/video/iIiFRIXFGOo/v-deo.html
"I felt awkward trying to make the right foot on the 4th step step in front of the left foot...." => Actually you don't need to do that. The 4th step of 2 handed style is a hop step, meaning a fast step. So you definitely can not make the 4th step in front of the left foot. It's natural.
"...the right foot trailing behind the left will keep the HIPS open to the right and allow easy ball downswing" => Actually the hips open due to the 1st drift step (ua-cam.com/video/iIiFRIXFGOo/v-deo.html) . I don't intentionally trail my right leg. It automatically trails because my hips have already open during the approach :D
Thx u so mush
Enjoy alayoung! My pleasure :D
Hi. Thank you for your video. Can i ask about your hand position?
Do you try to keep your palm underneath the ball when it is at the lowest point or just the two finger?
Hi bro, I keep my whole hand underneath the ball at the bottom of the swing or the lowest point. If you palm is not under the ball, hardly will your finger be underneath the ball :D Thanks for your comment and question bro!
@BowlismOutlaw thank you for the reply!
@BowlismOutlaw thank you for the reply!
I’m having trouble keeping my arm straight on the downswing, How Jason Belmonte or Kyle Troup does. I know the swing is different for everyone but I do see this as a constant, so that that the hand can stay and under the ball. Does Anyone have tips on how to achieve this.
Love your Vids By the way Bowlism best 2 hand information on UA-cam right now.
Hi Ejaytee bro 😎. Thank you for supporting my channel. I do really ask myself a lot about the “straight arm” during the down swing. I suspect that it depends on the length of the non-bowling arm. Imagine, both arms are equal in length. If you straighten your bowling arm, your non-bowling arm should be longer to keep holding the ball, otherwise the ball might fall off your bowling hand. Is that right? Some bowlers have their non-bowling arm even longer than their bowling arm, so the “straight arm concept” works for them. I don’t think this concept should be a benchmark for all bowlers. What do you think?
謝謝!
Thank you so much Jack! 🙏🫂
Great Video. Oh, also the girl at 4:20 apparently thinks your funny. :)
kkk thanks Castllo :D Yes she's my bowling friend and yes it's funny indeed heheheh
Can this concept be used for 1h with thumb? I just got back to bowling after a really long hiatus and my game has degraded so much 😢 (excessive chicken wing and ball too far from ankle)..
Actually, that might be the secret of some pro 1 handed bowlers 😀 The mechanism is the same for 1 and 2 handed. My 1 handed bowlers applied this tip and found his big progress. You should try Riel bro 😎
@@BowlismOutlaw Yo!! I tried the elbow thing during league and its giving me better results with my chicken winging! The ball felt great off my hand too ❤️
Hoping to see more concepts from you to apply on my game hehe
@MisterRiel so great to hear that. More videos will come out in October bro. I will make it in shorter videos so you can easily digest 😁 I was once a 1hander so we have something in common 🎳💪
May i ask does this apply to one hander also.?
Definitely yes, feel free to apply it 😎 bro
@@BowlismOutlaw awesome ty so much
どのようなボールを使っていますか?何ポンド?
Hi hokuto! I use the 15 lbs bowling ball, brother
@@BowlismOutlaw ありがとう
14lb vs 15lb which one is better?
It depends on your physical condition bro. I’m 5 feet8 and around 172lbs weight. I use 15lbs bowling ball. But I’d rather use 14lbs ball because I can have more control over its weight. The more you can control the ball, the better it is.
Imagine a bigger size bowler holding a 15lbs bowling ball and a smaller size bowler holding it. The bigger and stronger bowler would feel more comfortable controlling the bowling ball than the smaller one. So basically we can pick 14lbs or 15lbs bowling ball as long as we feel confortable controlling it. Controlling here is meant by you can feel relaxed holding the ball and keep your hands under the ball at the foul line when releasing it. We don't need to push your "ego" up and choose the heavy ball. :)
Thx you so much 🥹
I came to learn about how to release better, not a whole health science on how the skeletal structure functions
So now you know both :D
This works well with one handed bowlers as well...
Definitely YES Jay!
@@BowlismOutlaw The hard part is probably getting used to tucking your elbow in towards your midsection as you put the ball into motion. Most people place their elbow at their hip area because that is where they're the most comfortable with.
@jayvallandingham2406 yes, you’re right. But it’s not difficult to tuck elbow in. So we know it, we can utilize the tuck and optimize the release. Very simple 😀
Thank you thank you so much you finally taught me something I never realized from Professional bowlers release the hand release is natural not intentional
Yay! So happy to hear that it helps Andrea! So many things to come in the next days :D Enjoy
Using 2 hands should not be allowed in bowling. The only reason someone uses 2 hands is because they CANNOT BOWL with 1 hand. Learn how to bowl instead of taking the cheaters way.
Hi Michael, I bowled 1 handed for 10 years before switching to 2 handed. I can bowl 1 handed. Don’t worry I don’t cheat 🙏
@BowlismOutlaw What made you switch to 2 hands? Are your scores higher since switching to 2 hands? Increased your speed & revs didn't it? Jason Belmonte is the biggest fraud ever to bowl. I bet he sucks using 1 hand. Using 2 hands to bowl is cheating & should not be taught or recommended.
@@michaelrhoads6349actually jason belmonte can bowl one handed and also ain't nothing wrong with 2 handed bowling, it helps youth more into the game of Bowling, helped many more old veterans with injuries to be more relaxed with a 2 handed style. The only problem I have with bowling is string pinsetters and sean rash 😂
are you korean?? I thought you were Vietnamese. How come you have a Korean flag on your shirts?
Hi Kevin, no I'm Vietnamese but I love Korean culture. Just want to be a part of your country's culture :D
haha i see. it is my dream to visit your country one day. Too far from US though :/@@BowlismOutlaw
