1:04 you have a 24h indicator at 9 o’clock that tells you if it’s 10pm or 10am. You don’t need to find out by moving the hands!

Great tutorial :). For the Patek, I'd set the left top pusher first since it advances both the weekday AND the date. Then I'd use the weekday pusher afterwards in case it's needed. On average you'll save a few clicks if the date pusher happens to give you the correct day before you have to use the weekday pusher :)
For the IWC, you're right it's kind of a big deal that you have to take it to a watchmaker if you get it wrong - however the crown only lets you advance one day at a time, so it's unlikely you'll go too far ahead of the correct date. The easiest thing then would be to stop the watch (pull out the crown) and wait a few days for the world to catch up with the watch haha. Seems it would be more inconvenient if a large amount of time passes since you last wore the watch (and it wasn't on a winder) and you have to manually advance the mechanism a couple of months, one day at a time.

I’m not sure even if I got the IWC that I’d ever need the extra part for the 2100s haha
