Most of the music after the first few MMX games I haven't heard, and most of them I'm not too fond of (most; not all). Too many of them sound too "fusion-synth-rock" for my tastes. I generally prefer the more NWOBHM and power metal sound of the first game. That being said, this seems like a very well composed COMPROMISE between the two styles. It had got riffs... a catchy melody... synthesizer lines that do not detract from the distorted guitars. I can't ask for more. This has my like! Well done!

Why did I just discover you, and why did it take five songs in a row before I thought to subscribe? Who knows, but the Jakob theme has always been one of my favorites. And I also just realized Jakob is probably named for the Biblical Jacob's ladder, since it reaches into the heavens. Neat! Anyway, great job and keep up the great work.

Why do these Megan X 8 levels have Bible references? Noah’s park(Noah’s Ark) and Jakob Orbital Elevator(Jacobs Ladder which goes to outer space)!
It definitely has to do with the game's title (Paradise Lost). But personally I think the story doesn't really fit the whole biblical theme too well. Not that I don't like the story. I just think that if they were going for a biblical theme, it would've been cool to see some of those elements in the story as well and not just the stage names

It's actually not a guitar. I modified a MIDI sound from Logic Pro.

If I remember correctly, it is the "Hard Rock" guitar sound from Logic with a bunch of EQ. I dont remember what other effects I have on it

There is actually no overdrive pedal. I'm using custom guitar sound plug ins on Logic Pro. I can give you specifics on that if you would like.
