Never understood the hate for the updated versions of the SNES songs. The newer versions are what they wanted it to sound like originally but couldn't due to hardware limitations.

The original is older, and it was made for an older console game with (albeit similar, but still) different systems and a different atmosphere/vibe. And having them switched would make the Jakob elevator level of both versions become out of place. So let's just conclude that neither of the two is officially better than the other and that they both fit where they belong. The rest entirely depends on your own preference.
Did not play X DiVE, but i would prefer if Reploid girls would have more robotic hair, like Palette and Layer do in X8. Robotic hair is one of main reasons i love robot girls. Compare MM11 and MM8 Roll hairstyles. MM11 hair looks more like hair, but MM8 Roll hair is more stylized, which fits a robot. (and 60's Anime aesthethic classic Mega Man goes for... MMX is more like 70's anime aesthethic. While MMZero is 80's anime aesthetic, MMZX is 90's Anime easthethic)

Amazing music, I wish the appeared in more modes than just the elevator. It’s too bad the level designs for this mode are so… well, bad. Especially the boss fights, I refuse to believe those aren’t designed to just burn through all the characters you play for a few days on end, each. And I say that as someone who always challenges them well above the recommended power level with like 6+ characters
me, as a guy who's addicted to megaman x8 since i was 6 years old and kept playing and beating the game until now that i have beaten the game 48 times in total i can honestly say..... i dislike this mix.
