Thanks for watching! I know the temptation to say one version is better than others is very strong. Just remember that it is hard to be unbiased when criticizing versions that are not your favorite. In the same way, sometimes we love a version so much, we can tolerate all its faults. All versions come from ideas and they may not have been executed in the best way, but they are still art, and there is no "better" art. So please, do not fight other people over why your version was the best, no one can win those fights.
I’m pretty sure the 2007 movie universe counts as the same universe as the original movie universe.
According to Laird, it was a different universe. The director felt otherwise. So there is not definitive answer.
The IDW Turtles visit the 1987 and 2012 universes, and take the appearances of their counterparts.
@@TheTurtleNexus Loads of people, including me find it takes place in the same universe. Just look at Shredder’s helmet, the broken TCRI canister, and sadly even the time travel stick. What do you think?
@@lucasgibbs4050 I say it doesn't matter at this point. I get why the director wanted it to be, and at the same time, Peter's decision to break apart from the decline in quality of the last two movies, makes a lot of sense to me. What would have solved this situation was making sequels.
I would love another turtles forever like movie! With the Mirage turtles (Turtles prime), the 87 turtles, the 2003 turtles, the 2012 turtles, and the Rise turtles! That would be amazing!
I think it would be really cool if they did that. But i also think it could really be cool if individual turtles teams from the past had their own animated movies. Could be a way to capitalize on all the different iterations. I know its a long shot but I'm just dreaming. 87 nostalgia has always been big but it feels really big now with all the games & merchandise. 20th anniversary of the 03 team. Of course I'd love 2012 turtles to be continued somehow. I'm sure tons of people would love rise to keep going in movie form if a show is not gonna happen. Even a mirage turtles project could would.
I agree
I hope there's another "Turtles Forever" type crossover at some point. Just including the Rise turtles adds so much potential in story and funny character interactions.
It's too sad how 2003 was never mentioned again in any comic or new version of tmnt like it was never existed
I really love all versions and respect all of them , but to see my favorite one be treated like this it really takes me off
I am not sure why Nickelodeon cannot use that universe. But the show inspired the two following shows and the comics (with characters and plots). Maybe there is some kind of royalty situation they don't like... or maybe they don't want to mess up with it... who knows?
In the idw comic series they do, like Hakkr and Darius Dun are adapted also Ch’rell (utrom shredder)and a few others I can’t remember off the top of my head but the idw series are adapting things from all sources of tmnt including the movies I really enjoyed a part where Mikey said “ehh a fellow checker eh” a callback to the first 90’s tmnt movie but I agree we need some more of 2003 turtles they were my favorite and a good mix of dark and light tones
@@DayDay55665 and the dark turtles also sorta made their grand return in the IDW comic too
Just some things to clear up, the IDW Turtles that met Batman are NOT the true IDW Turtles but Turtles from another universe which more or less is inspired by the main IDW TMNT Universe-- so those Turtles are entirely something separate and perhaps exist in their own mini-canon as far as their universe is concerned.
Well, I said the stories were non-canon, which makes the whole story happen in a different universe, no matter what the characters are based on. (For example, the Image stories were based on Mirage, but are considered a different universe).
You know I think this is why other media has gotten more popular then DC and Marvel by the fact they reboot things more naturally in many ways
Picture the turtleverse as a pizza each slice represents the turtles unique universes and how they differ from one another. For example in the 2003 universe the shredder was a utrom and bebop and rocksteady didn’t exist in that universe. in the 2012 universe shredder was able to successfully kill master splinter. In the 1987 universe the turtles were not really able to successfully defeat their version of shredder and krang once and for all.
I remember this reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 and I really do like the character's design and personalites a lot better than the other reboots from 1985, 2013 and 2018. It's a shame they never made a proper complete series onto DVD with all the season1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 because that would keep the memories of the series alive with the next generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , I know they already made a few DVDs from 2003 which is disappointment sadly and I can only watch them on UA-cam as long as the episodes are still there😔.
We need to figure out what earth numbers each version of the turtles are in. I know the 1984 Mirage TMNT Universe is called Turtle Prime. Plus, we know that in the Marvel Universe, Earth 616 is the main universe. If I could put it this way, each version needs an earth number based on the year every version of the Turtles made their debut.
1984 Mirage Turtles - Earth-84
1987 Turtles - Earth-87
1990 Movie Turtles - Earth-90
2003 Turtles - Earth-3
2007 Turtles - Earth-7
IDW Comic Turtles - Earth-11
2012 Turtles - Earth-12
2014 Movie Turtles - Earth-14
RotTMNT Turtles - Earth-18
The 2012 earth is officially Earth-7 (that's what it was called in that show). I used a similar system like yours my fan-made series "Feet". I also think turtle-prime earth is not earth-84, as it seems to be like a meta version of the turtles.
2023 Ninja Turtles Earth -23
I like 87 krangs idea of a "10 dimensions" so here's my relatively simple idea
Mirage Comic = Earth-Prime
80s Cartoon = Earth-2 (aka the 2nd dimension)
90s Movie Trilogy = Earth-3
2000s cartoon = Earth-4
2007 movie = Earth-5
IDW= Earth-6
2010s 3D Cartoon = Earth-7
Michael Bay Turtles = Earth-8
Rise = Earth-9
Seth Rogen Turtles = Earth-10
And each of these primary worlds have their own sub-alternate realities and so forth.
What about Archie universe, Image universe, next mutation, and all those non-canon stories? 🙃
@@TheTurtleNexus Primary worlds having sub-alternate realities?
TMNT Forever! Glad to know of the TMNT Multiverse!
Anyone can be Invited to the Battle Nexus! For one to exist in the Mirage verse since i first saw it in the 2003 Verse, It can be the Same Verse as Mirage Splinter is the New Damiyo!
There exist many TMNT Universes that i've been jumping into collectiing Memories so none of them will ever die as it Pertains my Many Adventures of the TMNT as i watch through and Read through Many TMNT Series!
I don’t understand why IDW haven’t used the 2003 version of the turtles in any crossovers yet, I hope to see them again like turtles forever like I would love to see 2003 & 2012 in a crossover movie.
Hard to tell, but I imagine there are business/legal reasons. If it is any consolation, the IDW canon is heavily inspired by the 2003 series.
@@TheTurtleNexus OK so picture the turtle verse as a slice of pizza each slice represents the turtles unique differences from the other universes such as in the 2003 universe shredder was a utrom and bebop and rocksteady didn’t exist in their universe.
This was a very cool, very informal and very well edited video and you really did blow my mind with some of these things that I didn’t know and I could’ve sworn I thought I knew it all already. It’s so cool that usagi is the same in both universes
This hurts. So that means 03 was cut off from the multiverse due to the canon event they messed up😭
In the 2012 crossover, there was no mention of turtles forever because they were very much aware of how badly they mistreated the 87 turtles in that awful "movie". This was kind of a do-over and an apology
If to you this was an "apology", then I am glad for you.
The 87 turtles were much more capable in their own cartoon.
Even the villains were much more capable in their own cartoon.
The 2012 interpretation of that universe does almost the same as Turtles Forever, which is, to make fun at how different these versions are. And I am OK with it in both cases. They made fun of the original Shredder as well, and it was hilarious.
The thing that gives an "extra" to the 2012 re-interpretation, is that the original cast came back to voice the turtles (that and the story is much more simple).
But I don't think that the 2012 turtles teaching the 1987 turtles how to fight is what I would call an "apology".
just got done reading turtles odyssey and holy craaaappp man you have to cover it man asap
Soon.
We strike hard, and fade away into the night!
Spider man should have a multiverse with tmnt
God after Rise's movie a multiverse crossover movie would be soo interesting with Rise Krang's existanse if he was connected to 2012's dimension X
Seu canal é muito bom
2:41 well I have seen that but I don’t understand is how did that happen as in how long has the real splinter been there which maybe you could do a video on the Mirage Splinter, now isn’t that supposed to be a parody of Galactus?
I was also disappointed that the 2003 turtles never appeared or mentioned in the 2012 series, it’s like they never and the event of Turtles forever never happened because the 2003 deserve better and imagine if the Utrom Shredder survived ?
Do you know what I noticed in the 2003 episode the Darkness Within at the end of the episode the beast is still alive and that the man who answered the phone looks kinda similar to Darius Dunn and I wonder if he’s related to him because it was never made clear if he was related Casey and April other than he is Cody’s uncle because he never talks about him being Casey and April’s grandson because I know that the IDW version isn’t related to any of them is for sure so do you think that could be a possibility?
On Splinter, you can watch the "Mystery of the Rat King" video. I do have a Splinter video coming soon, though, but there is not that much new information on that particular story. That was a parody of Galactus and they also parodied Doctor Strange with the "eye of aga-moo-tou".
I'll see what I can find about Darius when I do his video.
@@TheTurtleNexus 👍🏻 great
Tmnt forever. 😀👍🐢
7:26 and that was never the case in the original series where he wasn’t supposed to look like that?
I wish they could have a crossover with Street Sharks, Extreme Dinosaurs, Sonic the Hedgehog and the Marvel universe.
Maybe you should talk about the TMNT ripoffs
Let's gooooooooo
At the time of this comment, it’s been 3 months since this video, and there still isn’t a video about Batman/TMNT 3. When do you plan on talking about it? And maybe the other 2 crossovers?
It is high in priority, but not high enough compared to the next few videos. I am still unsure on when it will come out. Probably early next year.
Are you the guy from honest trailer Becomes Your voice is unmistakable?
It's computer generated
This felt like gi joe multiverse and death note
Why does your voice sounds like honest trailers?
Where there’s a multiverse, there’s bound to be crossovers. When will you talk about them?
Which ones?
@@TheTurtleNexus All in general, whether they be brief or not. For example, there was a comic where Garfield disguised himself as a Ninja Turtle. You can do a massive video or separate videos, which works for you.
@@lucasgibbs4050 I was going to do a collab with another channel for a video on team-ups, but it has been postponed... I do have some team ups on the list.
@@TheTurtleNexus Will it be a massive video or separate videos?
@@lucasgibbs4050 the collab (if it happens) will be more of a ranking. As for this channel, it will need to be separate videos (because people do not consider topics covered when I mix them).
When the villain in TMNT Odyssey is defeated, play Black Panther Wakanda Forever Vengeance Has Consumed Us. Look it up at TMNT: A Collection, you’ll thank me later. 😉
When the Mirage Turtles were seeing other universes, how come they saw their past selves? They’re the same version!
But they were in a different universe at the time (C.O.W.-boys of Moo Mesa).
@@TheTurtleNexus They are still the Prime Turtles. How does that make sense? It’s like they’re implying they aren’t the same version.
@@lucasgibbs4050 The prime universe never made sense (why are they always stuck in their first appearance?).
But also have in mind that timelines do not necessarily align, so for the COWboys universe, maybe the turtles are from the future (Cudley also travels through time).
@@TheTurtleNexus Cudley has traveled through universes, the original TMNT aren’t the first versions of the Ninja Turtles he’s met before. Also, a vast majority of every adventure (including the crossovers with Moo Mesa) happened after TMNT #1.
@@lucasgibbs4050 but the point is that he can travel through timelines and universes. So, from a different universe's perspective, it wouldn't be unusual to see any universe at any point. As long as they are not seeing the Moo Mesa universe.
Didn’t Turtles Forever introduce the Turtleverse?
Nope, it was already there in the Mirage comics.
If TMNT dies, it's all Nickelodeon's fault. I think it would it be better if Laird would sold TMNT to the Warner Bros.
I disagree cause look at how awful dc thundercats and mortal kombat is treated by warner bros they hate action franchises
But I'll say those were good times when Mirage and 4Kids owned TMNT.
I dunno specifically which studio should own the turtles, but I do agree Nickelodeon severely limits its on screen potential. I'm currently writing a story with a friend of mine that we hope to one day turn into a legit show, but it's on the darker and deeper side, so Viacom is the biggest hurdle in our way of making it happen.
Please do Batman and teenage mutant ninja turtles 🥷🥷🥷🥷🐢🐢🐢🐢🍕🍕🍕
It's in my list!
Unlike the Sonicverse...
Nickelodeon tends to shit on the 2003 show
I think it's because of the way 2003 fans treated the 2012 show when it first came out, so Nickelodeon giving more Love for 1987 and 2012 while shitting on 2003 is kind of like a big middle finger to those who shit on 2012 when it first came out.
@@ilikeeverything.5900 that makes sense
@@ilikeeverything.5900 i mean alot of 2003 fanbase are pretentious but i havent met all of them

Good God, more AI V.O.? I’d rather an inexperienced fool speak into their phone than listen to AI.
Which is why I stopped using text-to-speech more than a year ago, for good.
I am slowly replacing these videos (and this one in particular will need an update anyway).
