  • In this video, Chandler talks about how this year has been one of the most sad, difficult, and challenging ones he’s ever experienced. From his wife and brother being diagnosed with cancer, to changes in work and relationships, it definitely hasn’t been easy. Despite all of this, Chandler recognizes his blessings and the great opportunities that have come about despite the hard times. Life is difficult no matter your circumstances, so we must choose our hard. So, in this video, Chandler wants to share what he is choosing to do from here on out to make his life hard, but with a growth mindset that will only help to make him a better husband, father, friend, and mentor.
Investing in real estate for the last 10 years, Chandler David Smith currently owns over $25 million worth of rental real estate. During this time, he has had some great experiences being able to share his passion alongside his family and buddies. He has seen them absolutely crush it when it comes to the investing and sales world. More importantly, he has been able to share his expertise with others and learned invaluable lessons along the way.
Chandler dives DEEP into all of the ins-and-outs of his financial success and challenges - working hard, learning sales and real estate skills, and the trials that come despite the success he was able to achieve. Keep in mind that there are A LOT of unknowns when you take a step into the real estate world - things fall through the cracks and honestly, anything could happen. But - this is life! When you take the proper steps that Chandler teaches here, you CAN mitigate your chances so that you will be taking the smallest risk with the highest return possible!

Are you talking about him specifically losing his own soul I'm not understanding what you're trying to say. I guarantee you he would give up his home his cars and every penny he has to have his beautiful wife back. He hasn't sold anything he's extremely hard-working and intelligent. And jealous people tend to say things like that just in case you were talking about him you weren't clear about your intent or in what direction you're saying it

@@landonhardbottom6668 I'm a Christian although I'm not a Bible beater if that makes any sense I know it sounds tacky but in layman's terms that's basically the truth. Not all religious people are like this person. Quick story though I'm in the Bible belt on my street there's five churches I kid you not. A friend of mine their son passed away so I went to all five churches to ask if they can help me I was doing a fundraiser if they have any elderly woman who would be willing to say just bake a cake, Duncan Hines cake it doesn't matter. All five churches said yeah will call you don't call us. And that really left a bad taste in my mouth. I single-handedly pulled off a huge benefit but with no credit from a church! I can understand one or two churches but all five? I spoke to the pastors directly. I know they're not all bad these Pastors & churches but it leads me to believe that there's a lot of bad ones!

Chandler…. Just watched this vid after the painful yet amazing one about dear Maddy.
The juxtaposition between the two is incredibly powerful in it’s authenticity and evolution.
When the time is right, more of this is what the world needs.
How do we make ourselves better humans?
How do we beat the struggle?
Like you said everyone deals with something. Once in a while that something is so devastating we can’t fathom how we’ll be able to keep ourselves intact.
I know I can be a very successful professional.
    A very loving father.
    A caring husband.
    A loyal friend.
And a decent real estate investor.
But I often struggle with doing all of those things together, all the time.
I sometimes struggle with even wanting to be those things at all, when life beats me down.
I bet What you shared in this video rings more true now than it did when you shot it.
About Choosing Your Hard, front loading your pain, and working on your mindset.
    Easier said than done right?
So a series idea as you emerge from your battle like a phoenix is an authentic view of how you are regaining purpose, drive and happiness after being dealt such a blow. How your family time changed? Where you are falling down. How you improve. And how’d you coach others in similar situations.
I value the real estate and car content too. But what your audience values most about you is your authenticity. That’s why you’re uniquely positioned for something like this.
The failures. The triumphs. The tears. The laughs. That’s what lots of souls need right now; I’d wager yours included.
And the series should of course be called Choose Your Hard.
Best of luck to you CDS.

Thank you for this comment. This is exactly it - I really hope he takes the approach going forward of sharing his authentic experience of working through this, doesn’t feel pressure to seem falsely uplifted or too “motivational” but rather, to share his heart first. And reality.
And if that is too vulnerable I hope he just takes time to himself. I can’t imagine how much pain he is going through, losing such an incredible human being.
Sending Chandler all my love. ❤️‍🩹

I cant explain how much i needed to hear everything you said and especially now.!! I have been in this viscous cycle of dwelling over how things are falling apart and that its one thing after another keeps happening and knocking down any progress i might have made. I wasnt able to see how my thoughts have been focused on the negitive aspects which might be why i have this constant feeling of doom and even when i am spending time with my kids i am unable to enjoy those valuble moments bc Im so focused on all the negitive . Dont get me wrong i have financially struggled from day 1 of becoming a single mom but i was still able to enjoy my kids and make the most of what i had. This last year its been one thing after another putting me deeper into a hole I might never climb out of if i dont change my thought process. I wasn't even realizing that might be why i have that constant feeling if doom. I want to do all i can to give my kids a good life and don't want them to feel stressed bc of me. I want them to learn good thought habits instead of bad ones. Maybe now ill recognize when im focusing on the negitive instead of whats most important .
    SORRY ITS SO LONG.

Hey Chandler, sorry to hear about these hard times. It sounds tough but I really appreciate you sharing this. I just wanted to drop a couple ideas that really help me out personally.
    1. It looks like you already work out but working out in the morning does wonders for my motivation and level of energy and happiness. My favorite routine is waking up, slamming a protein shake and hitting the gym before going to work. It leaves a sense that you have already accomplished something for rest of the day.
    2. Diet can help a lot. I notice when I eat unhealthy I don't feel as happy as when I am eating right. There are a lot of different diets you could try to challenge yourself. One of my friends tries different diets just to see what they do to his body and mind. Could be interesting.
    3. This is kind of a strange one... but studying philosophy is very helpful to me lol. There are a lot of thinking we do at a surface level and philosophy allows you to dive beneath the surface and really do some exploring with your mind. I got sucked into the philosophy of morals and ethics as well as the philosophy of epistemology (the distinguishing of justified belief from opinion) and it changed my world. It's a really good mind exercise and could also help with creating a solid foundation for your belief system which I believe is important for people to have an understanding of.
    4. Music. I used to play music but I haven't for years. With that said, I still believe it could be challenging and meditative to learn an instrument well.
These sort of things may not be exactly what you are looking for but I thought I'd throw them out there just in case. Keep your chin up man... We're rooting for you!

Thank you for being real and raw. I sense your vulnerability is also one of your strong points as you use them as a motivational tool. You have a great character about the way you present yourself. I hope your wife and brother are doing better every single day.
Over the last several years I made several changes to get rid of the negative in my life. I loved my religion but it wasn’t making me happy any longer, I moved on and have found much more happiness being a spiritual person. I found serving others through volunteer services much more fulfilling. Money has never been an issue because I grind. I find when I make life fulfilling, I make it happen. I found my purpose. I left a good paying job for great paying job, one that allows more freedom and flexibility to my grind. I let a few close friends walk away . I don’t need negative people affecting my life. I found that fulfilling. I have the freedom of who I want to be around. I am glad you have good people around you.
    Keep up the good work!

In My Opinion - 90% of your followers are probably people that have daily stinking thinking - no real goals set - no real vision - just a dream or wish of being financially free. I’d love to see content that shows what your doing from a daily habits standpoint, but concrete examples of what a “nobody” can do or what they should do or what you recommend they do on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis to change their life. That would be helpful. Thanks for what you do!!!

The mental health benefit of training in BJJ is just starting to be discovered, and is likely related to the intense exercise, combined with the socialization and overcoming the challenge of it. I have made alot of good decisions in my life. Learning to regularly fast was one of the best. I would start with intermittent, then a 3 day and build up to 10. It could take awhile but rome wasn't built in a day either.

What is success? Not money. What you did to be in your wife’s life is amazing and glorious. Life is full of somm any shades that aren’t so black ande white. I only watched this video sus I just watched about your wife’s last year. The humility of the other video is in stark contrast to this.

I don't know if it works for everyone but I will give my feedback on this video. 1 in each 5 kids born in a developed contry. I am European so, I'm a lucky one. Thanks to Chandler and a couple other guys, I'm close to reach my financial independence. My thoughts, after that point is to go into one of these unlucky countries and give to someone the knowleage and the chance to succed as I did. It could be a selfish way to do something to sombody because at the end, i will be so satisfaied as the helped one or ones, but I will feel that I created some balance in this life. Those are just my thoughts...

Chandler, pleeeeeeeeease don't do a 10-day fast!!! It can mess up your hormones, tank testosterone which is the hormone that you're using to be committed and focused, and has many other bad things that can happen because you're not obese. Try OMAD (one meal a day) if you're curious, but please don't starve yourself for no reason just because other people are doing it!

Today is August 7th 2023. I have followed you on Insta and youtube for a while now. I wanted this video 8 months ago and my heart went out to you and your family. You popped into my head again today and I thought, How is chandler and his family doing? They are probably in their new house by now. I looked on youtube and your last video was 8 months ago. I immediately got a pit in my stomach that something must have happened to you, Maddy, or your brother. I jumped on instagram and my fears were realized. I am SO SORRY BROTHER! I am so sorry! I am heartbroken for you. I am commenting on this video because of it's title. All I could think of was no brother, last year wasn't the hardest year of your life, this is year is going to be. It felt like I was looking through time and just wanted to scream STOP everything!!! I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm so sorry. :(

All those riches. Yet your wife isnt by your side to enjoy it. I wouldnt swap lives for anything. Sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife.
I was just thinking when you said the cars etc are temporary highs.
You are filling your life with material wealth not the riches of God.
Until then, you'll never be satisfied or happy.
You will continue to try to fill the empty void inside you.
