i love Patagonia and its mission.. but this move is very regrettable. the package cubes with the shiny material (model before) were unbelievable. i wish you guys told us you were making this move. i would have loaded up for my kids. part of being earth friendly is having a product you really value and want to preserve for a long time. this looks like every other trashy bag i passed on to get the nice Patagonia packing cube. please bring back the glossy.

Did you get a chance to handle the new packing cubes? I saw them in a shop the other day and the shell material is pretty much what you get on their new Black Hole backpacks and duffle bags, so I imagine it's more than you'd ever need for a packing cube. It does look a lot thinner in the video, tho.
