UA-cam Thanks, or more officially UA-cam SUPER Thanks, is a new way for creators to monetize their UA-cam videos.
Previously known as Viewer Applause, this UA-cam monetization feature has received a BIG shake up. So what does this new UA-cam feature do now?
It adds a 'Thanks' button under videos that allows viewers to make a donation to the content creator directly from that video. This could be HUGE if you’re a creator wanting to increase revenue on UA-cam.

What a great idea. It's great for the viewers and for the channels. Options I would appreciate from UA-cam are (and maybe they have it) an anonymous button and a button to remove the amount from public view.

Good video - thanks, but you didn't show how to customize (the predefined) amounts of the 'thanks' ... or is it not possible? Do we have to live with the amounts UA-cam specifies?

Only issue is the “once enabled by UA-cam”. Super Thanks has been sitting in my studio not available for 12 months or more. I’ve contacted them several times asking why my channel, which has been monetized for 3 years and has 16.5k subs hasn’t had this feature “switched on” yet, when other creators with less subs and only in the YPP for less than 12 months have it. Makes literally no sense and is incredibly frustrating as a creator. Just another example of UA-cam not being transparent with creators

It was about a year i think till I could turn the super thanks on after monetization.. but I have a small channel.. 2.64K subscribers So being surprised it showed up I made a little segment on the next video saying 'thanks and here's a new thing.." and people actually sent in some Super thanks.. which is cool.. So, there you go!..DMAX
How long does it take to receive the super thanks money or even track it? I have 5 or 6 super thanks but the only reason I know this is because they showed up in the comments section. It's been over two weeks and the donations don't show up in AdSense either.

I LOVE this feature and finally got access to it a few days before the email came out. I did a short video on what it is to show my followers. My problem is that I don't think our audiences without channels will know what to do with it (despite me explaining it in a video). How else can we spread awareness? I also shared it in my community tab (not in a bugging/asking for money kind of way). I will mention it occasionally in upcoming videos too.

Hmmm.... I am monetized but never used "Super" anything. So my process was to first try to decypher a 7 page legal document that was not mentioned in your video. I gave up trying to figure out all the mumbo-jumbo I was agreeing to and signed. This led me to Super Chat & Super Stickers along with the notice you presented telling me that after I already agreed to whatever it was I agreed to....It was coming someday.....all in all rather disappointing.
Hopefully you'll have access to it soon! We're crossing our fingers it's rolled out to everyone SUPER soon!

I qualified and activated Super Thanks on my other YT channel but after 2 days, I still don;t see any button and I cannot find a solution pnline as to why it's not appearing. Any ideas?

Problem with this is, the creator only gets round about 50% of it. YT takes 30% plus tax. Thats one thing I rly don't like about it. I wanna support a creator and I THINK I give him 50 bucks or something, but he only recieves 25 to 30 bucks. This is not a donation like Twicht did it.
I agree. This really sucks.
I received my first $15 Super thanks and after all the fees came out I only got $6.69, this is very deceptive and I think as someone wanting to give a super thanks I would like to know exactly how much the creator will actually get. There should be a fee breakdown to make it transparent to what your actually contributing to their favourite channel.
