  • ***Note: Correction to the first single crochet stitch being described as worked under, “both stitches”; it should be, “both loops.”
Welcome to my tutorial for weaving in your ends as you work in the overlay mosaic crochet technique! Tired of having hundreds of tails to weave at the end of your overlay mosaic crochet projects, or trying to figure out how to cover them up? Then THIS tutorial is for you! Using a few rows from my Harlequin ♦️CAL pattern, I utilize methods to use when working mosaic double crochet (MDC) stitches, back loop single crochet stitches, and how MDC groupings can help ‘anchor’ your ends in place to ensure you’ll never have to worry your head over pesky tails slowing you down again!

Thanks so much for this. Don't know why I didn't figure it out. So now I start over for the third time and this time, it will look GOOD. Thanks to you.

Thank you for this. I don't care for fringe, so I was hesitant to do Overlay Mosaic. Thanks to you I have started my first Overlay Mosaic pattern.

I love this! (I hate sewing in ends!) Loose ends in patterns have kept me from trying some beautiful designs.

I too would like to know how these ends fare after use and washing?

I’m asking again as Barbara Bruce has too, will it not come unraveled with washings?

Hello - great tutorial!! I love how the mosaic double crochets lock the yarn in place. Just curious if anyone has done this method and then put a blanket in the wash....did the ends stay in place? I appreciate any feedback!

Will it not come unraveled by not being tied into the other yarns? Liz Higdon?

I have trouble with the edges of my blanket being wider than the middle where there are no ends. The ends make enough bulk to flare the edges. How can I stop this? It adds several inches on an afghan.

It's too far away to see properly.
