  • This video is a DIY for building a thin, long table that fits perfectly behind your couch. This tutorial will go through all the steps from the beginning to end on how to create this table in one day. I use a stain and polyurethane on the table which is also shown in the video. I show you the exact materials needed, cuts/dimensions for the table I built, and how much this table will cost. Projects like this table are perfect for making your house more functional and help you love where you live. I hope you enjoy this video!

Not to be a party pooper but I think you should use a 2x6 for your topper and a vertical board for support. I thought about the brackets as well or using a Kerg jig. Good no fuss build.

Hi! Love this project so much. I will be making it this week. What type of wood do you suggest if I want to paint it?

Was looking for inspiration to do a couch table myself and found this. Pre-drilling the holes for the angle brackets was a neat idea. Had bad experience with those in my previous project, so, thanks. And great couch table!

I have had bad experiences as well when I do not pre-drill the holes. It's a simple change but makes a big difference! I hope your table turns out great, thank you for watching!
