I remember hearing Summer Song decades ago on satellite t.v radio, I think it was Galaxy "GoldRock" that day changed my life no joke. I was maybe 10, I was so taken back by it I wrote it down on paper what I had just heard. That's where it stayed for many years until youtube reignited my interest.
I had to kick my velociraptor aside to hear hear this. It was annoying. Haha...look I'm fucking old. And I'm glad apparently there's a new young generation picking this up from we old fucks. I'm glad. My work is not yet done.
This was the Super Colossal CD tour. That album is spectacular. The recording quality, especially on the drums is exceptional. Love Joe's playing and the melodies he comes up with. I am thankful he shares his talent with the world..
Just had to come here and say that JS’s music is just so juicy, melodic, unique, almost other-worldly!! Not to mention his pocket presence as well as the others it’s just so inspirational and catchy and hooky!
LaRue is for sure a helluva bassist.....but his ego, arrogance & all-around icky personality (trust me on this) are the reason he doesn't land more gigs. Totally opposite of Joe, who is such a beautiful soul.
I was always looking for “Bells of Lal” live and he basically through that in here. I love Satch. I believe i had my first transcendental experience listening to “Lord of Karma” while driving through the desert as a teenager. He truly speaks a language of the soul in many of his songs
Satriani: "I wanna talk about robots for a second. I was just thinking a while ago, what if all the robots around us started to think and feel and stuff. I would be very strange, all those emotions and feelings running through their circuits and stuff. I think it would be a pretty cool day for a robot"
The first time I saw this, it was one minute longer. Joe explained his thoughts behind the song. It makes the song better to hear his cheezy little explanation before he hits the strings. Love that guy.
Yeah I remember Joe explaining that he thought about how robot would feel if it came alive in this world and put with humans to live. The song kind of described all the anxious emotions the robot might feel if it came alive. I guess it was something like that. I watched the full version of the concert and love this song song so much.
I wish I could tell Joe to video the making of his studio albums. I've never seen him play the Power Cosmic 2000 live, and would like to have seen him play it in the studio.
@Joe: Extreme collab potential for this jam and ArcAttack! (Tesla Coil Music)…the drummer is a robot. TBH, any of your music will do…I wanna see the energy set the room ablaze
i cant understand...why who makes this video think that we want to see the ceiling, the drums or bass player or even Joe's face...we want to see his hands and his playing!!!most all the time!!
Not trying to sound corny here, but he speaks a language in his playing and it has spoken to me ever since I was 17 years old. Thank you Joe
Yup, got into him when I was 19. Still move me the same.
Badass

I like it when young people get it

Signed all our stuff. Shook our hands. Actually engaged us. My hero. I've had the privilege of seeing him since 1986.
❤

Holy smokes this is an under-rated Satch tune!! What a piece.
Its good
Listen to crowd after song
One Robots Dream is an awesome song and live they just played that song incredibly well! The musicianship in this lineup is great.
Love to listen to Joe all the time but especially on the road. Thank God for Joe. This one and A cool new way are my current favorites.
Any time you think there might just be a better guitarist than Joe Satriani, just watch a video like this and realize you might just be incorrect.
What a duel between the guitar and the drums. Who wins. I do not know. Fantastic.
17 misguided souls that gave this a thumbs down are so ignorant of greatness....wtf??? These are some of the worlds finest musicians right here!
bass to yo face BC! its Just cause the frame changes a lot. 🙄
I love the lyrics riffs of satriani, i try pass the same feelin for my jam sessions, Edu Ardanuy too is like most liric but simple hard
Yea. Satch + Dave LaRue = Totally insane!!! You 2 are perfect for each other!!!!!
Love the old Joe play he's king of the strings years ahead of is time leaving the rest of the guitar players in dust t.m.o
Just had to come here and say that JS’s music is just so juicy, melodic, unique, almost other-worldly!! Not to mention his pocket presence as well as the others it’s just so inspirational and catchy and hooky!
This song has so much energy and grove. You can tell Joe had a lot of fun playing it
Dave LaRULES!! Love this song
agreed... of course Joe is amazing but Dave LaRue and Jeff Campitelli combo makes this live recording (the whole event) my absolute favorite!
LaRue is for sure a helluva bassist.....but his ego, arrogance & all-around icky personality (trust me on this) are the reason he doesn't land more gigs. Totally opposite of Joe, who is such a beautiful soul.
Après des années toujours aussi bon pour les oreilles tu es mon dieu musicale joe

One of his best performances and best albums.

Robben ford and joe satriani !
Nice
This smokes
Was this after he played made of tears? Because there is so much of that improv in this improv as well.
@Joe: Extreme collab potential for this jam and ArcAttack! (Tesla Coil Music)…the drummer is a robot. TBH, any of your music will do…I wanna see the energy set the room ablaze

Jorge Mora tell for yourself. Not for everyone
The man who made that video is joe satriani. And trust me that joe's music wouldnt be what it is without the other players with him.
Once again your really good you are ready The talented or guitar very good keep it up
Cientísta da guitarra.
outside of Hendrix, the greatest rock guitarist of all time imho
Philip Brown bit naive to think Hendrix is better.
More innovative? Yes. Better? No.
Satriani and Vai are waaaay better guitar players than Jimmy Hendrix.
@@thetruthisoutthere5173 I agree!
One more. How bout Stevie Ray Vaughn?
He's better than Hendrix.
🎉😂😢the best
🤘
