Same, there isn't one video I haven't watched on this channel. I think the interest we have is beyond watching to buy, and more keeping a pulse on the space, so when we do make decisions (buying decisions and otherwise) we're pretty informed. Like a mental benchmark for this tier
For those worried about their Steam credentials: I’m just one person sharing my perspective, but I personally reviewed the code, and it’s clear they know exactly what they’re doing. Couldn’t find anything remotely fishy or insecure. I’ve been working in software development for about 14 years, and while that may not carry much weight on its own, when multiple experienced developers give their seal of approval, it should hopefully inspire confidence.
LMAO this the same COMMENT from another person on ANOTHER VIDEO. they must have bots or something that go around commenting for them. gotta be something fishy at that point
@@Koazey no that was me, on Retro Game Corps channel. I think most people probably watch both channels but it’s a small effort to share it here again :)
Hi Ryan, I am working on an experimental fix to get DRM games working while I got a notification for your video. there might be a way in the near future:) And please let me know if this back button problem also happens when you set your Controller to Retro instead of XBox. I am happy to look into it (I am not the creator of Pluvia)
I haven't found one yet :( If you have an RP5 you could possibly use the control mapper built into the floating icon... I hope they fix the control issue soon!
Thanks for the video! While I really like the idea of playing my games directly on my device, I've scratched this itch using either Steam Link or Moonlight (moonlight works better for me). It is a fantastic experience!
@RyanRetro1 it is! Got momodora and nuclear throne working on it (although the last one doesn't look great). Hoping this project keeps growing! Would love this to be a staple of android emulation in the near future.
Okay, so I was under the impression that EVERY game on Steam has DRM, since Steam itself is the DRM enforcement for the licences. How do we know if a game is DRM-free, or not? Or is it just trial and error?
I managed to get Bot Vice to play but it was strangly slow for a 2D game, also Alwa's Awakening. But while I can get a few titles up no problem what I don't like so much is that it installs to the internal memory rather than the SD card.
I have a question, friends. I'm playing Genshin Impact on my Retroid Pocket 5, but I feel like the battery is running out quickly while I'm playing. I usually leave the fan on the lowest level while I'm playing... Do you think there's a problem if I play with the fan off?
@RyanRetro1 Sometimes the temperature gauge shows a temperature of 80 C° but I'm not sure if the information shown there is reliable. I also don't understand if the temperature refers to the CPU or the battery. Thanks guys!
Yeah it's extremely Beta right now but has a lot of potential as it sets up easily, sync with Steam saves, and doesn't require any file transfers or complicated set-ups at all (once it actually works properly) so I'm very excited about the future of this!
I’ve tried this when retro crops showed it such a nice app. But lately Iam stuck in rocknix and since update I can’t get back to my android side I tried power down and - and + not working so I can’t get my android side anymore 😢
Yeah I've been trying it out for a few weeks but I couldn't decide if it's fleshed out enough to deserve a video. I decided in the end it's at least cool to share it. Sorry to hear about that - I hope you fix it! I had the opposite issue. It was hard to get into Rocknix for me. I found that the only way I could do it was to hit 'Restart' and then hold the volume button (forget which one) while it was restarting. That's the only way I could get into the launcher so try that!
Thanks for the info! Do you trust this company with your steam log in info? That’s the only real holdup for me but honestly Android gaming has grown by leaps and bounds over the past 2 years or so
People who know much more than me about coding have checked over the code and say it is safe but I am just taking their word for it. I'll just hope for the best!
I tired so much to install HADES or Little Nightmares 2 and.I cannot install them. It stucks at 43% and 83% respectivley (after 9 hrs or waiting). My wifi is very fast.
Might drop an email to GabeN to see if he'd consider hiring the developer to make it a more official client, maybe even allow DRM protected content on it.
I've watched basically all your videos yet still haven't bought the Retroid 😅
Haha thanks for continuing to watch! I've got other handhelds coming soon!
What are you waiting for? 🤘🏼
@@tonyrosario1940 My next paycheck 😂

@@producdevity i see, i see. it may have been you but its still 100% fishy on unauthorized steam links with full login access
That's what someone who wants to steal my credentials would say! 🤨
Wow, this looks promising! I hope it continues to get better.
Me too! It's very early in development now but I'll be sure to post again once it's updated and improved

Nice! The back button issue happens with either controller set-up - I tested both
Great video, Ryan! 🍻🤘🏼🔥
Thank you so much!
Great video as always! Got my popcorn and drinks, so lets gooo
Excellent!
Littlewood was such an awesome game!
It's a game I've had for ages and never truly gotten into. Now is the time!
This is amazing!! Is there a way to fix the controls for Littlewood? I have it in my library and wanna start it now 😁

@ awesome! Thanks for the info! Me too, I'd love there to be an easy way to jump into Steam games like how we can on the Steam Deck
Does this work for the 4 pro?
nice vid ryan
Thanks!
Mini steam deck is the FUTURE
That would be my dream console!

I have tried Pluvia, but i didnt like it much, especially when Moonlight just work so well for steam
They're quite different as Pluvia plays the games locally so you don't need internet or even a PC at all. I agree moonlight is great!
@RyanRetro1 that is true. Though I play mostly big games like cyberpunk, I think streaming is the only option

bruh with bot vice, that's good new feature lolol

It might overheat. If battery is an issue, just lower all the settings.
I do 99% of all my testing and playing with the fan off so you should be fine. If it feels uncomfortably hot it's better to be safe than sorry!

If you’re worried about your password you can just use the QR code token and it acts as a password.
That's what I did :)
Pluvia’s game list doesn’t seem to actually match what Winlator can play. Tomb Raider 2013 works, but it’s not in there.

Would it run The Binding of Isaac Rebirth? (+ All the DLCs)
Aren't these all natively on android already? 🤔
No
@@RyanRetro1 oh tru, it was switch emulation.

Do you know what else is DRM-free on Steam: *Cyberpunk 2077*…
Who’s first up to try that? I’m, uh, busy today…

I read it's not DRM free anymore :(
I just want BallisticNG to work!
